Hello, the excursion was great. I really enjoyed it! Great organisation and great staff. Thankyou for a unforgettable experience. I highly recommend. This is a very long day so i suggest bringing snacks and drinks, overall the staff do their best to make sure you have a smooth and comfortable journey!
    Worth it.

Great site to visit. It’s a little bit of a travel, but so worth it. Be prepared to a lot of walking and spending time on the bus. However, rare site to visit so would recommend it.
    Great

We are a family of three. Our daughter is 8 years old. We were picked up from the hotel at 1.00 am. We went through 4 more hotels and the bus was full. We traveled 4.30 hours to the ferry. Before boarding we passed through the Egyptian border. The security was rude. They were going to take my camera because zoom was not allowed. They caused me stress and frustration. The camera was subsequently returned to me. They put us on the ferry, which was very old. We traveled for 1 hour. Fasting our tour guide. At the Jordanian border, the staff were kind and smiling (right across from the Egyptian border, where they treated us like prisoners). We traveled a few hours to Petra. It was comfortable and pleasant. Our tour guide Karim was amazing. Arriving in Petra it was cold and windy. We had time for photos, but not enough time for a full tour (the place is huge). Then it was our lunch, which was very tasty and a lot of everything. We returned the same way we arrived. It is good for people to know about the cameras that are and are not allowed across the Egyptian border. Also that the climate and temperatures are very different in Jordan from Egypt. Huge thanks to the driver and our guide Karim.
    Incredible visit to Petra

Yes, it’s a long day but So worth it! The journey time was broken up well with the boat trip and regular toilet/ snack stops. Our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and humorous. The place is incredible and definitely worth a visit. The lunch included was plentiful and delicious. I would totally recommend this experience!
    A must do

We had an wonderful experience. Tour guide very knowledgeable. We were too old to walk so we paid extra for golf cart. Well worth the ride. Well organized crew. They made sure we on the correct bus at all times.
    Petra is Amazing!

It is worth the effort to get to Petra. The time in Petra was amazing. The travel was well coordinated. I was picked-up at my assigned time in front of my hotel, then transferred to the boat to Aqaba then on another bus to Petra. Lunch was very good, with variety for all dietary requirements. Where this review loses 2 stars is for the following: Communication was not the best - the bus I was on was for 2 languages - when instructions were being given in English, several non-English speaking customers were talking so information was not properly conveyed. Similarly, when the non-English instructions were being conveying some English speaking people were talking - so lack of respect on both sides. [Suggest have only 1 language/bus] This resulted of needing the information restated, which resulted in less time to explore Petra. It amazed me at how many times it needed to be stated where we were going to meet. At first we were going as a group but that ended up everyone going on their own to explore Petra. Second - on the way to Petra, we stopped at a Bazaar (disguised as a bathroom stop). This was to be quick stop BUT a few passengers thought we should be there over an hour so the could buy stuff - so we were robbed of time to see Petra because of this. Really?! This whole trip was about Petra - not going to a Bazaar. Likewise on the return trip we managed to go to a different Bazaar (again disguised as a bathroom stop). Personally I would have liked to have an additional hour in Petra. So be aware a bathroom stop really means a Bazaar stop, where I am sure there is a "commission" given for any items purchase to the staff.
Yes Petra is 100% worth visiting - NOT with the Supplier and ABSOLUTELY NOT with this shamster in the name of 'GUIDE'

Yes Petra is 100% worth visiting - NOT with the Supplier and ABSOLUTELY NOT with this shamster in the name of 'GUIDE'. Were picked up as scheduled at 0030 - Transport Good - reached Petra at 1230 - after 12 hours. Were in Petra for 4 Hours. Guide decided lunch after the excursion at the last minute - so we were offered something at 1630. And then without a single moment in Aquaba (advertised for shopping) we were herded back to Sharm. Several delays and 4 Border Crossings (2 on the way in and 2 on the way out) - with a bad Guide - reached Hotel at 0300 instead of 2330 (3.5 Hours delay) makes us think - was it really worth going from Sharm el Sheikh? GUIDE - he took a fancy to 3 girls from the USA who 'got lost' for 45+ minutes - wasting time for the whole Group - to shop for Pringles they say! Instead of telling them off - our Guide decided to take thousands of pictures for and with them for their Instagram - neither did he explain a single thing in the Sik, Treasury, Theatre or Tombs nor did he accompany our Group anywhere. He stuck to the girls like glue and by the end of the excursion - he had baptized them as 'Sunshine' - the whole Tourist Group was disgusted and no one tipped.
    22 hours on a bus
    Jonathan_D, Feb 2023
It takes 11-12 hours to get from Sharm El Sheikh to Petra with this tour. You then walk into Petra with the guide (who is a bit arrogant), pay USD7 for a photo, then begin the long journey home. To make more money, the tour leaves only twice per week but crams nearly 200 people onto each tour. This means the journey takes ages. The tour buses spend 2 hours just outside Sharm El Sheikh getting people from cramped minivans onto buses. We were herded like animals and screamed at. Some passengers rebelled and shouted but were told there would be no refunds if they left. The bus repeatedly travels for 1 hour, then stops for an hour as 100-200 people get out to queue for the limited toilet facilities. By the time hundreds of people have used the toilets, the first ones need the toilet again. The border crossing takes about 5 hours as hundreds of people to use the facilities and have passports slowly checked at either side. Everyone looked thoroughly miserable. Some woman refused to go any further at the border due to the chaos. The tour guide was aggressive to them. They left the bus at the border and I don't know what happened to them. With so many people, some people had forgotten passports, others were ill, others wanted to leave, etc. With only a few guides, it was utter chaos and everything moved at glacial speeds. The buses were cramped and stunk of sweat and faeces. People were vomiting on the bus but the toilet was engaged. Queues were long and fights broke out between angry Russians. The tour is mainly in Russian (>90%). On the journey home, nearly all of the talking from the guide was in Russian. The English bit was read verbatim in monotone from the Petra Wikipedia page. Lunch was ok. My aim was to tick off another country and tick off Petra. I achieved both but nearly lost my sanity in the process.
A long day of travel for an AMAZING experience!
    Stephanie_M, Nov 2022
This was an AMAZING experience! It was a very long and hard day of travel -- but extremely worth it! The collaboration between Egypt and Jordan tour managers/guides is really incredible! However, the Egypt part of the journey is rather complicated and the communication about what exactly is happening at each bus transfer/ferry movement was nonexistent. The guides/people on site for that portion were rather rude and hard to work with. Leaving at 1 AM is hard for anyone -- but also having to navigate meeting a tour on the side of the street/outside of hotel security vs right at the hotel drop-off/pick-up area just raised a lot of red flags -- especially as a woman traveling solo. Additionally, the requests for tips was very aggressive and the Egyptian bus monitor (guide?) was stopping people as they exited the bus and attempted to demand tips/argued when the tips "weren't enough." However, I still give this trip 4 stars because once you leave Egypt and arrive in Jordan -- the experience is amazing!! The guides and staff onsite in Jordan are so kind, respectful, and are ready to give you a fantastic experience! Petra felt like a once in a lifetime experience -- and I am so glad that I took the 25-hour journey to adventure to Petra.
Petra awesome, journey long and arduous

Petra, as the engaging guide (ours was Ibrahaim) tells you is one of the 7 wonders. It has the effect of stunning you, even though you've already seen it in films. You are amazed by the detail carved out of stone 2000 years ago. The guide also mentions it takes 3 days to see the whole of Petra, its impossible to see everything in the 3 1/2 hours you have there. If it were just Petra I would give this 5 stars, but the journey is punishing, it's 25 hours in total, 3 1/2 hours on site the rest travelling, you get stops but this is a long long day with one included meal at Petra, you need to refuel at the stops and carry plenty of water. Oh and avoid the hawkers, carriage rides and camel rides, the signs says these are not authorised but the police do not stop them. Be prepared for a long day
