Had lots of fun chatting to Nori san, and the family enjoyed making okonomiyaki and learning about matcha
Good experience!

This was a good tour though i wish there had been slightly more historical knowledge shared about sensoji temple. The guide was good at answering our questions, the private matcha experience was nice and the lunch was so authentic and unique. Would recommend as an easy base line tour!
Fun Tour, Amazing Guide!

We had a great time touring Asakusa with our guide Hana. We ventured through the gate and were shown fun local shops and sampled some treats. Hana was very knowledgeable about the area and pointed out many interesting facts. The highlights of our tour were the matcha experience and the okonomiyaki making at a restaurant. Hana was so kind and helpful with reservations and translating for us. She also took lots of photos for us. This was our favorite tour and tour guide while in Tokyo!
Amazing tour with unique experiences!

Mihori did a great job explaining the culture and history of the Sensoji Temple and the surrounding areas. The Matcha tea making was different and a really neat experience! Our last stop was the best way to end a tour, an entire upstairs restaurant to ourselves while we made Okonomiyaki on a giant griddle. Highly recommend this tour!!
Great tour while in Tokyo

Our guide, Mihori, was great and led us through the Asakusa district and the Sensoji temple. She recommended some of the street vendors and we discovered some awesome, made fresh rice crackers. Mihori was informative and gave us great insights to Japan culture and history. The matcha tea experience was very worthwhile too. Great tour and terrific guide!
Great day in heaven!

Would have given this tour 10 stars if we could! Fabulous experience! We actually had a private tour for just two of us since nobody else was booked that day! Our two guides, Mai and Hiroshi were extremely knowledgeable and lovely people and the whole experience was like visiting with friends. We shopped along the streets of Asakusa, visited the shrine, learned about Japanese culture and customs, and sampled some delicious candies before visiting a place where the processing of macha was explained to us, followed by a tea ceremony. Finally we stopped at a small restaurant for lunch where we cooked our own food (delicious) on a grill at the table. Altogether a simply great experience and well worth the price. If you don't do any other tour whilst in Tokyo make sure you don't miss this one. Thanks to Mai and Hiroshi for making if so memorable.
Fun experience

Mai was knowledgeable of the history and was very helpful and friendly. My teenage son and I enjoyed the tea ceremony and preparing our own okonomiyaki!
Mai was fantastic!

If this is your first time in Japan, this tour is a must. Mai was so sweet, very knowledgeable about the area and allowed ample time to purchase souvenirs. We had an authentic tea ceremony and got to make our own okonomiyaki which was so cool! This is a must-have tour if you're looking for an experienced guide with strong English skills.
Arigato!

This tour was truly amazing! Our guides Rina and Mami were absolutely wonderful and so pleasant! We learned so much from them about the beautiful culture of Japan while shopping and eating our way through the marketplace. We were allowed ample time to shop. The Senso-ji Temple was quite impressive and majestic. Our guides taught us the ritual of tossing a special coin and praying at a Temple, and fanning the smoke from an incense burner towards you as the incense is believed to have healing powers. We had such a fun time cooking our own Okonomiyaki lunch which was delicious! As guides, Rina and Mami went above and beyond! We would highly recommend this tour as it exceeded our expectations! Thank you Viator, and special thanks to Rina and Mami!
