Murano, Burano & Torchello boat trip
Kerry_F, Oct 2020
Given limited info by the tour team who couldn’t care less whether you made it back to the boat on time or not, and no loos on board. It’s a long trip to have no facilities. Glass factory was just a money making exercise on both sides with no opportunity to explore the island itself.
Good Value for the Money

Ticket booth directions:Go left off St Marks Square at the waterfront. The ticket booth is at the YELLOW desk just over the first bridge. The tour itself is a good way to see Burano and Torchello islands. At Murano island you'll just see a glass factory with no opportunity to visit the rest of the island. The demonstration was absolutely amazing though - seeing how they transform a ball of glass into an animal in less than 2 mins. The boat ride was smooth, not crowded and had a top and bottom deck. The ride is narrated but it would be better to know Italian..lol. You have time on Burano and Torchella to get stuff and eat. For the price this was good value for money.
Fantastic

This is the second time I was doing this tour and we loved it. The only thing is that we left out Torcello (it bored us the last time we went) and spent more time on Burano, we got back on our own which turned out fine, we are in love with Burano and my Mom got to see the glass blowing demonstration - in Murano something she has always wanted to see
4 - Hour Motorboat cruise

The cruise was fair. Not enough time on each island. Very rushed but overall it was a good experience.
Venice lagoon islands.

Good excursion but only 40 minutes at each island was not enough time to appreciate the experience. Did only have time for a quick lunch on Torcello and did not get into the town!
Can’t recommend, but if you go, here is the story

First of all, instead of motorboat, think small ship, with you and about 100 strangers. The boat is, however, clean and well cared for. No refreshments, but there is a WC. The guide points out several sites along the way but because of the group, must do so in 4 languages. She is not giving a lot of detail, and the sound system is poor. When you get to Murano, you actually land at one the workshops. You go in and are treated to a 10 minute demo of glass creating that is very impressive. You then can go to the factory store, but there is no time to visit any other store or the island itself. You then reboard and go to Burano. While you nominally have 40 minutes, by the time you get off the ship and into the pretty town center, you’ve used almost 10 minutes. You have time for a short walk and possibly the purchase of a bottle of water before you need to return to the ship. After being warned about punctuality several times, I must note that the crew was 5 minutes late. Torcello is another pretty small island with two beautiful churches of note. Forty minutes was just enough time to go to the churches, stand in line to pay 5 Euro, and get back to the boat. The crew was not as late this time. Understand that you cannot get back on the boat until the crew returns. On the way back to our starting place, the guide provided no comments. With 20:20 hindsight, we should have taken public transportation.

The trip felt rushed - perhaps one less island in the same time. We'd have missed out Torcello and just visited the other two to have more time.
3 island cruise
Margaret_C, Sep 2019
It was money well spent. Islands were small so time allotted was adequate. The checkin desk was very helpful and her English was very good.
Utter Disappointment
Majid_K, Aug 2019
We booked it for a family of 5 including a little baby 10 months old. When we were going there, baby vomited and soiled his as well as mums clothes. We had to change the clothing and we reached there only 2 minutes late. The boat already left. The lady at the counter told me i did not pay money to them but i paid to Viator and i should speak to them. I emailed viator help desk but they did not even bother to reply. My €80 were wasted. No refund, no voucher, not even a nice word. Very painful experience

In not understanding the public transport of Bus Boats we took this tour. The guide took off from the meeting point and left 4 couples behind, we were one and had to run to catch up. Only 45 mins at Murano, docked at a glass blowing shop, watched the glass blowing, into shop 30 mins, then back on board to go to Burano, at Burano docked, told where main street was, be back in 45 mins, same at Torcello but had an 60mins. Best way - buy an all day pass on public boats approx. $20E per adult, pay $3E to see glass blowing on Murano BUT you will have the time to see ALL of the 3 islands at your leisure.

again a very good tour of the 3 islands--would recommend but it is a little rushed but definitely worth seeing
Tour good pickup point disaster
Marianna_F, Jun 2019
Overall tour was good information given by tour operator Morena regarding pickup was disasters. Our day was turned in chaos that we nearly missed it. Costing us 90e extra as we were a group of 6, Morena gave us pickup from the train station and it was near piazza di san marco... Cost 7.50e pp very disappointed.
Lovely Day

Enjoyed the trip very much. Weather was excellent. Burano was a quaint little village and our favorite as we had been to Murano previously.
Island excursion
Odyssey23896768160, Apr 2019
We enjoyed this trip immensely except that boat was packed to capacity so this reduced the amount of time we spent on each island due to the lines to get on or off at each island. Otherwise very good and a lot of great information.
Great tour .. easy, relaxed and well timed
Robert_S, Mar 2019
Great value tour. Boat was large and had toilets on board. The Murano stop was a glass museum; the Burano stop was relaxed and we had a good walk; Torcello was a simple walk from the boat.
4-hour Motorboat Cruise to Venice Lagoon Islands: Murano, Burano, and Torcello
ericklosz, Sep 2018
Fantastic way to experience the outer islands of Venice. The time allotted on each island was enough to sight-see as well as shop if you want. Plenty of photo opportunities to capture your experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history of each island.
A wonderful tour on a glorious day...
Brian_R, Apr 2018
A wonderful tour on a glorious day! We didn't have a lot of time in Venice so just chose to do this half day tour and really enjoyed it. The photo opportunities were plentiful and it gave us a good opportunity to do a bit of cruising on the water without having to fork out a small fortune. Loved seeing the glass blowing and we were also afforded a reasonable amount of time to look through the collection and make a purchase if we wished.
Just okay for me, you're going to see...

Just okay for me, you're going to see colorful houses it is what it is.
I'm all good with people earning...
Chris_L, Feb 2018
I'm all good with people earning money for services and all. But I felt that Catherina, the woman who runs the business, made quite a large profit at my expense. All she really did was drive my wife and I to a restaurant that was once a villa. There was no tour of the villa, the dinner was good, but after paying for my second bottle of wine the first was included but the second was pricey, and a tip for our server, it costs us 400. We could have had the same meals and wines in Venice for 120.
Tour was good value for money...
Simone B, Jan 2018
Tour was good value for money. Murano was the first island which provided a demonstration of glass making techniques. The next islands it was to discover alone with about an hour at each. It would have been good to be given some sort of direction or guide as to what there is and whats nice to see. Being Winter it was cold and the top deck of the boat at night was too cold so everyone did cram inside which was a bit too tight. Overall good experience for the money paid.
