    Skip Murano.
    KATHY_S, May 2024
We could do without Murano. It was a 10 minute glass demonstration and they ushered you into their gallery. That’s it. Burano was cute! But you can see it in 1-2 hrs. I’d skip Murano and visit Burano for a very short visit.
    Response from Host, May 2024
Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Murano and Burano tour. It's valuable to hear about your experience and how you feel the time spent on each island could be optimized. Skipping Murano and spending more time in Burano seems like a practical suggestion for those looking to maximize their time and experience in the area. Your insights will surely help others make informed decisions when planning their visits.
Best 4 hr experience in Venice
    Michelle_B, Apr 2024
Had a wonderful day with a fantastic guide who show as many things on the way to Murano and home from Burano that we didn’t expect. She was very thorough in explaining all that she knew about the Venetian area. At Murano the tour was interesting but I found the items there very expensive, so beautiful to see though. Burano OMG how amazing is this place!!! After walking around with our guide, who’s love this this island glows, we just sat in a local bar/cafe and watched the world go by, so nice to hear the local men just having a chat/laugh. Absolutely beautiful, love, love.
    Response from Host, May 2024
It sounds like you had an enchanting experience exploring Murano and Burano with your guide! It's wonderful to hear that your guide provided unexpected insights along the way and shared their passion for the Venetian area. Burano does indeed have a special charm with its colorful houses and lively atmosphere. Taking a moment to soak in the local ambiance sounds like the perfect way to conclude your visit. Thank you for sharing your delightful experience!
Skip the Tour and do water taxi
    Michele_H, Apr 2024
Burano was very picturesque, Murano was totally a waste unless you truly want to see how the glass is made.
Great trip , loved Flavia as our guide.
    Elizabeth_D, Apr 2024
Our guide Flavia was so great. She gave us lots of fun information and provided a good balance of tour and shopping. It was a great outing.
    Response from Host, Apr 2024
It sounds like you had a wonderful time with Flavia! A tour guide who strikes the right balance between providing information and allowing for exploration and shopping can make the experience truly enjoyable. If you ever want to explore more of Italy or any other destination, feel free to reach out for recommendations or assistance with planning your next adventure!
    A Thing to do
    Normand_D, Apr 2024
Selena is an excellent guide, the tour of the glass facilite in Morano was very interesting and the artist quite good the shop was awsome We would like to go back as for Burano We are not very into lace but the visit was well présented and interesting, we enjoyed this tour
Nice way to explore 2 Venetian islands
    Colleen_A, Mar 2024
We had a nice family trip. Our tour guide Cecilia was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. The boat ride was comfortable inside and underneath cover with guides offering info and insight along the way. Tour left on time and returned on time. They were super helpful via text when we had trouble finding the meeting place. We didn’t know to look for guides holding up red flags - that would be helpful to put in the meeting place/pick up info on confirmation. The glass making demo on Murano was fascinating but if you’re looking for more time to explore the island of Murano, be aware all of your time is spent at the New Murano Gallery. We opted out of the lace making demo ans did all others in our small tour group in favor of exploring the streets and shops of Burano instead.
    Great boat trip
    Chelsea_T, Mar 2024
We had a great boat trip, the guide was excellent, we learned a lot about the history of Venice! Everything was kept to time which we really appreciated. We probably needed more time in Murano but that's just in hindsight, we could have booked a full day trip. I would definitely recommend!
    Fun Excursion
    Terrell_S, Mar 2024
Very enjoyable tour. Loved exploring the island of Burano. Murano was interesting to see the glass blowing, wish we could've seen more. The glass in the museum is extremely pricey, even the souvenir ones. Interesting information was shared.
Great time! Beautiful places to visit!
    Shanice_T, Feb 2024
The tour guide herself was amazing, clear and friendly as to what was surrounding us and compassionate. Felt welcomed and comfortable on a tour in a new place. Thank you Francesca we will be returning!
    Response from Host, Feb 2024
It's wonderful to hear that your tour guide, Francesca, made you feel welcomed and comfortable during your tour in a new place. Having a clear, friendly, and compassionate guide can truly enhance the experience of exploring unfamiliar surroundings. It's great to know that you had such a positive experience and that you're already considering returning. Thank you for sharing your feedback!
    Great half day trip
    Nicole_L, Feb 2024
Nicole was a great tour guide! We learned a lot from her about Venice, Murano and Burano. The only reason I docked a star is that we felt we did not have enough time in Burano. There was more we wanted to see and do there, but felt rushed with the time constraint and skipped a few things we wouldn’t have otherwise. In future, we would do a full day so we have the time we need.
    Response from Host, Feb 2024
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear that Nicole provided you with a great tour experience and that you learned a lot about Venice, Murano, and Burano. We understand your concern about the time constraint in Burano and appreciate your suggestion for a full-day tour in the future to allow for more exploration and enjoyment. We'll take this into consideration for future tour planning to ensure our guests have ample time to experience each destination fully. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back for another memorable tour soon!
The Murano Glass factory - disappointing!
    Suzanne_M, Jan 2024
The guide met us on time and escorted us to a private boat. She was really lovely and the reason for the two stars. However we did not enjoy the tour itself to the factory. Firstly we booked with the hope of seeing the glass blowing and were informed this was not possible. We spent a few minutes watching the glass makers producing chandeliers but that was it we were then shown to the gallery where you could buy products. We were followed around like hawks and felt extremely uncomfortable. When we did purchase some goods we then discovered when returning to Venice that we had been extremely overcharged! All in all the factory visit was so disappointing. Next we visited the island of Burano where we witnessed the making of the lace. This was truly fascinating. The people on this island are so much more welcoming and we enjoyed this part of the trip.
    Response from Host, Jan 2024
I'm sorry to hear about your disappointing experience during the factory visit portion of the tour. It's unfortunate that your expectations regarding seeing the glass blowing weren't met, and the limited time spent observing the glassmaking process was not as fulfilling as hoped. Feeling uncomfortable due to being followed around and then realizing an overcharge on purchased goods is undoubtedly upsetting and not the experience we aim to provide. Your feedback about these aspects of the factory visit is crucial for us to improve and ensure a more enjoyable and transparent experience for our guests. On a brighter note, I'm glad to hear that the visit to the island of Burano, with its lace making and welcoming atmosphere, was a more positive and fascinating part of your trip. Your feedback is valuable, and we'll work to address these concerns to enhance future tours. If there's anything we can do to assist or address the overcharge issue, please let us know. We appreciate your feedback and hope to regain your trust in the future.
No fuss and easy way to see Murano and Burano
    Stephanie_S, Dec 2023
No fuss your. Your guide was on time. Your was well scheduled. Your guide was great at sharing history and interesting information whilst on boat. Murano tour consists of the glass factory only, felt a lot of time spent here and wasn’t great for those of us who couldn’t afford anything lol. Burano tour was good, quick but was able to get a feel for the place.
Efficient way to explore islands near Venice
    Lydia_S, Dec 2023
Since we only spent two nights in Venice, we wanted a half day tour to visit the nearby islands. We loved the glass making demonstration on Murano and wish we had more time learning about the process and exploring the island. Burano was very unique. We had more than enough time to enjoy the main part of town. We enjoyed having Nicole providing some history and commentary on the way to the islands.
    Response from Host, Dec 2023
Thank you for sharing your experience! We're delighted you chose our half-day tour to explore the nearby islands during your short stay in Venice. The glass-making demonstration on Murano is indeed captivating, and we're thrilled you found it fascinating. We understand your wish for more time to delve deeper into the process and explore the island further. Burano's uniqueness is always a highlight, and we're glad you had ample time to enjoy the town's vibrant atmosphere. Nicole's historical insights and commentary aimed to enhance your journey, and we're pleased to hear you found it enjoyable. Should you return to Venice, we'd love to offer you more enriching experiences on our tours!
A great trip to Murano and Burano
    Ross_W, Dec 2023
We had a wonderful trip with Francesca! The islands were beautiful and we had time at our own pace at each place. This was a highlight on our vacation.
    Beautiful glass and lace
    Peter_T, Dec 2023
We enjoyed a beautiful sunny day to Murano and Burano. Perfect amount of time spent at both sites. Our guide Nicola was very knowledgeable and funny. She kept us all on track as to meeting and departure times. Much appreciated since we have been on various tours over the years where we have been kept waiting for guests who do not respect the time or the group.
    Would recommend!
    SGTBENAVIDEZ, Dec 2023
Christina was very friendly and knowledgeable. Boat rides were smooth. Demonstrations were very interesting.
    Nice trip
    Arthy_R, Dec 2023
Organized well and nice trip. Burano Island is small and a visual treat. Murano Island is about glass making factories and not much to explore other than walking along the canal and the glass shops. Nice relaxing trip.
Should have chosen a Whole day Tour
    Uhriel_B, Dec 2023
This was my second time in Venice and this time decided to Venture out to see what Murano and Butano had to offer. The tour took off without a glitch and right on time. Incredibly impressed by that - although that’s contingent on other tourists showing up on time. We started off leaving Venice on a water taxi, which was fantastic. The views from the canals is definitely memorable especially if you don’t choose to do an overpriced gondola ride. We went to one glass producer in Murano. While we did enjoy the explanations in the workshop on how to make Murano glass, we were disappointed by the amount of time spend in the sales room. Perhaps we should have done another tour instead, but it would have been interesting to visit a couple of shops to compare. While the offering was varied, it was hard to believe that was all we had to choose from and were curious about what the smaller shops may have had to offer. Once in Burano, we were in for a treat. Such a charming island. Had we known more perhaps we would have arranged for lunch and then return to Venice. Definitely the highlight of the experience. The tour guide had overall good knowledge of both places and gave good recommendations on restaurants on the way back, which was a bonus. Overall it was an Ok experience, but if you’re able I would skip this tour and choose a whole day with the first half in Murano visiting various shops and glassmakers, lunch in Burano and then back to Venice.

Hi Uhriel and thank you for your feedback! I will pass these details to our Venice Team for review and possible changes in the future. I am happy that you had a good time!
    A nice surprise!
    Jan_W, Nov 2023
Such a pleasant tour, to see both Murano (and the glass blowing) and Burano. I did not realize that the lace shop in Burano was the inspiration for the second episode of the Hallmark Wedding Veil trilogy. That made it more relevant for me!!
    Nice afternoon
    Agnes_X, Nov 2023
excursion was very good. Went to see a lace factory was very interesting that has a very beautiful things in their shop. The houses were very interesting as was the glassblowing factory
