This tour was SPECTACULAR!!!!! Honestly, when we booked it we didn't realize it was a private tour. It was just the two of us, our guide Paolo and the best Prosecco Wine Cellar and Vineyard in the Prosecco region of Valdobbiadene!!! It was a little bit of a splurge, but it was well worth it. Paolo, our guide contacted us the day before the tour to confirm the meeting place. We used Apple Maps (the only way to find your way around Italy) and easily found the meeting place! Paolo met us right on time. We hadn't had time for breakfast, so he bought us a cappuccino and panini - such a nice man! We then departed in his car for the one and a half hour trip north of Venice to the Valdobbiadene region, where the best Prosecco is made! The time flew and we travelled through small towns and chatted with Paolo the entire time. We learned so much from him! More interesting information about Venice and the Prosecco region than we would have learned on any other tour. We asked lots of questions and Paolo shared lots of additional information about that part of the country he was proud to call his home. We arrived at La Casa Vecchia and were greeted by it's fourth generation owner, Santo Stefano. He gave us a private tour of the Vineyard, wine cellar and the area where the prosecco is made. Some of the vines at La Casa Veccia are 140 years old. They hand harvest the grapes - no machinery. Also, no pesticides or chemicals are used in growing the grapes. We then had a tasting - 4 proseccos paired with delicious meats and cheeses. Not your typical tasting, full pours of each prosecco, enjoyed outside overlooking the vineyard. We spent a full 2 hours at La Casa Vecchia and we didn't want to leave. We shipped home a case of prosecco and 3 magnums - yes, it was that good! Paolo then drove us back to Venice. Getting to see the small towns that make up the region was so enjoyable. Paolo gave us a list of places we should not miss before leaving Venice - none of them were on the typical tourist list - and we enjoyed each of his recommendations. We especially loved grabbing some cicheti (small bites) and prosecco at Dai Zemei! Paolo was the perfect guide and host for this tour. He even gifted us with some photos he had taken of us at La Casa Vecchia. This tour was the perfect way to end a perfect 2 weeks in Italy. We would highly recommend this tour, and especially Paolo, to anyone!!!

Wonderful and helpful tour guide. We had a blast and learned so much. Paolo not only knew all about Prosecco, but also stopped at a drug store to get me contact solution. Wonderful day!
    Amazing trip to Prosecco region

We had the most amazing time on this tour. It was a private tour and Paolo was so fantastic. He was clear with the pickup spot and offered so much information on the drive. He is very knowledgeable. The winery was also fantastic. Fourth generation owned and the Prosecco was delicious. So much so that my friend and I both shipped bottles home. It was raining (can’t control the weather!) and Paolo was so kind and was on hand at all times with an umbrella for us. The snacks were plentiful and quite yummy. Additionally Paolo took pictures of us on the tour and sent them after the fact which was great so we could focus on the tour. He also provided a very detailed list of his recommendations of spots in Venice and we ate at one of the restaurants on our last night and were not disappointed. Just an overall 10/10 experience. Thanks again Paolo!
    Would do again

Paolo was so informative and very gracious. I traveled with my daughter studying abroad to see the country. He was a great tour guide and the vineyard was beautiful. The pairings of Prosecco with the lunch was excellent.

Paolo was fantastic. He contacted us the night before the tour to confirm the meeting point. I did the tour with a friend - there was also another couple so an intimate group of four. The winery was fabulous. The host Flávio from Le Volpere was very knowledgeable and we got to taste five wines with a platter. I now know & understand why the Prosecco I have tasted in Australia has not been great - because it is not DOCG!! I will be looking for it on the labels on my return. It was pouring with rain and we did not get to explore the vineyard as would normally happen but it did not dampen the experience! Thank you Paolo for a wonderful experience.
    Outstanding day!

Paolo was an excellent host for our tour, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Venice and Prosecco. At the end of the day, he added another winery to our stop with no problem and gave us a printed list of his favorite places to go while we were here!
    Palo’s Prosecco tour - Excellent!!!

Palo was an excellent tour guide. He really brought meaning to the tour. A nice drive up through the country side providing the history of the region & the vineyard. Once arrive you get a tour & sample of the Prosecco. Palo also provided suggested places to see, to eat at, etc in Venice. This is an excellent tour

From start to finish this was an excellent experience. Paolo was communicative and professional with the pickup and transfer to the winery. He shared some background history of the area we were headed. Once we arrived we met the winery owner at the front door and the tour began. This winery was passed down through his family for hundreds of years and you could hear the passion as he described the history and process of Prosecco making. The tasting involved 4 wines with plenty of meats and cheese (some of which are made from the owners father!). Afterwards Paolo transferred us back to the drop off location and even surprised us with a bottle of our favorite Prosecco from the tasting since it was our anniversary! I can’t say enough good things about this tour!

Paolo was very informative and so polite. This was one of the best birthdays ever! The vinery was breath taking and my favorite prosecco is extra dry?

We met Paolo our guide who was really nice, very knowledgeable about all of the areas we drove through to get to Riva Granda vineyard. There we were welcomed by Sylvia and her puppy Nina, as well as spectacular views. Sylivia explained the history of her vineyard and the lovely converted barn which has been in her family for generations. As well as the different types of Prosecco which comes with meats cheeses and bread. It was a lovely way to spend our anniversary. Thank you to Paolo and Sylvia. Love Jan and Mark
    Don’t miss this tour!

It was a perfect way to experience life outside of Venice. Our guide Paolo provided an wonderful day. The winery we visited opened a whole new world of delicious wines to us. The owner of the family run winery was an absolute gem and gracious hostess. We’ve told our kids to book the tour when they get to Venice this Summer
If you like prosecco, this tour is a must!

I do not want to give too much away as I want people to be as amazed as we were. This is a very fun tour. You get to see the countryside of Venice. Thr prosecco was super tasty. The cheese and means were very fresh and enjoyable. Loved how the tour group size is incredibly small and personal. If you like prosecco, do not miss this tour!

Very relaxing and beautiful trip. Our Driver, Paolo, was very accommodating. My husband and I had just been married and were exhausted from the our Wedding and recent travels. Paolo let us relax in the car only pointing out historical scenes when he saw that we weren't sleeping. When arriving at Colesel, we were immediately greeted with a cappuccino and directions to the bathroom. The tour was very informative and left time to take amazing photos with their beautiful landscape. Paolo was so sweet and took pictures of us during the tour so that we could enjoy the trip, sending us the photos that night! We got to try multiple types of Prosecco, learning about different flavors and their uniqueness. Highly recommend! My husband and I bought 3 bottles and are ordering more to be shipped to America.
    Perfection, Prosecco & Paolo
