Vanessa, oh sweet Vanessa! She was so wonderful with such warm personality and humor (I kind of hesitated crossing honest woman bridge lol). My favorite part of the tour was the stops only at local Venetian owned establishments. I now have to search NYC for sfogliatina! Our group overall was such a breath of fresh air and I thank Vanessa for helping us, strangers, break the ice with ease. 100/10!!! Will absolutely recommend!

Nela was a great, friendly and informative tour guide. Took the group on a food, walking and seafood market tour of Campo san Bortolomio and Mercato di Rialto areas sampling various types of Venetian foods including cicchetti and polette. Definitely recommended excursion.

Nelle was very socialable and well informed guide. She kept the group together and did not wear anyone out. She stayed out of the majority of street crowds and gave directions for guests to go to other Campos after the tour completed.

The guide took us to 5 different places and all of them were unique with amazing food. We tried food that if it weren’t for the tour we would never tried it. If you go to Venice make this tour a top priority. 10/10 would recommend.

Our guide Denis was excellent. We were able to try a lot of different foods throughout the walking tour. He gave us some insights and recommendations to what we were seeing and eating.The food was plentiful and very tasty. Highly recommend the tour.

Tour cancelled - Long struggle to get a refund

This tour was cancelled a few hours before it was supposed to beginn. The tour guide contacted me through what's up and promised to issue a refund but this didn't happen. A few weeks later I contacted customer service and was told the tour was never reported as cancelled by the guide so they could not believe me or help me. By insisting through several messages the tour guide finally send me the money back through PayPal. I cannot believe I had to spend so much time and patience to get a simple refund. I now do not consider Viator a serious company to book tours.

Clearly Vanessa is a pro. She had interesting stories, inside scoops, and a great level of awareness to ensure that the group had a great time. She helped with any and all dietary concerns, gave folks extra time to use a restroom, meet up with the group, and gave clear expectations on time (we’ll have 5 minutes, we’ll sit for at least 15 minutes) to make this experience a thoroughly enjoyable treat. Even though I didn’t like all of the offerings (artichoke bottoms) this was a fantastic way to learn about new favorites! Meet up was SO easy. I’ve been on other tours where meet up was stressful but the directions were extremely clear. I would honestly give this 7 stars if I could. A must do for a first time Venice visitor.

Monica took us to some really good spots to sample a nice variety of foods. The pace was perfect for us (2 adults, a 12 year old, and a 9 year old). I would definitely recommend this tour as it gives you an opportunity to learn about the city while sampling some very interesting bites of food.
