Normandy has been a bucket list item and when Julian took us there we were more than satisfied with our experience. Julian was not only extremely knowledgeable but was so personable and we all had so much fun!!

Our private tour with Philip and Parismatic/Viator was simply wonderful. We had one day to see Normandy and this tour made the most of our one day. We were able to customize and spend as much time as we wanted at each location. It was a meaningful day!

This tour is absolutely worth every penny! It was fantastic getting to move at a faster pace than the larger tours so that we could see more, of which there is so much to take in that one could easily spend a long weekend. Ricardo was an incredible guide - so very knowledgeable and knew how to get us the most out of the day. He helped point out so much that we probably would have missed or overlooked if out on our own. We were also able to see so much of the French countryside and coastal towns throughout our journey. What a fantastic day!!

We toured Normandy from Paris with Julien. He was both knowledgeable and entertaining. We hit if off immediately and had a great day together. We visited Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, had a wonderful french lunch at Omaha Beach and then continued on to the American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer. Julien pointed out hundreds of interesting sites along the way. We finished our tour in the quaint town of Bayeux, visiting the cathedral and learning all about the history of this small town spared during World War II. On the drive back to Paris, Julien shared points of interest at The Louvre and Versailles that we would be touring later in the week. All in all, a fantastic day. We would highly recommend Julien and Parismatic Tours.

Lucile was a wonderful guide. Everything was smooth and easy from start to end. She was knowledgeable and was able to explain things so the kids ( 14,12,9) could understand. A wonderful and thought provoking day.

Amazing tour not to be missed!

Our guide Fabrice was a wealth of knowledge and passion and we loved spending our day with him. Standing on Omaha beach at low tide was a very emotional experience looking back at the cliffs as was the American cemetery.

We had an excellent experience. Bertrand was our guide. His knowledge and hospitality are excellent. He was prompt, and flexible. He encouraged our input and customized our day according to our preferences. When we told him that our cousin was buried in the Normandy cemetery, he made a special effort to take us there and got a guide to take us directly to the grave where we held a small ceremony. It was priceless to us. Bertrand gave us a thorough history of the Battle of Normandy. He chose a lovely restaurant for lunch and we enjoyed, not only his knowledge, but his kindness and friendship. We highly recommend this excursion and Bertrand in particular.

The tour and guide were AMAZING. Such a great experience. But dress warm in January! And although the museums were closed for January, our guide was super.

Julien was our tour guide, and he was AMAZING! We enjoyed spending all day with him! He is a wealth of knowledge of Normandy and D-Day, as well as France in general. He was patient, kind, and easy to talk to. We learned not only about WW2 and D-Day, but French culture, the language, and so many other areas. Julien was also very helpful when we asked him questions about our travels around France. I highly recommend this tour and Julien. It was worth every Euro we spent :)

Excellent Tour

I can’t recommend this tour enough. My mom and I highly enjoyed our tour given by Julian who was incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and passionate about teaching. We learned so much in just one day about Normandy, WWII, D-Day, and French culture. Julian arrived promptly at 0700 to pick us up from our AirBnB and even dropped us off at a restaurant where we had dinner reservations at 1930. Spent time at Utah and Omaha beaches as well as many other historical spots throughout the day. For lunch, Julian took us to a fantastic restaurant where we had cider and savory crepes that were absolutely delicious. Julian timed the day perfectly which allowed us to witness Taps at the Normandy American Cemetery. This truly is a must-see tour!

Ricardo was a great host, educator and driver. Arrived promptly for pickup and traveled safely to Normandy including a great stop in a small town for the best ham & cheese baguettes. Very flexible. Provided time for our family to enjoy each stop with the right amount of history discussion. Highly recommend this experience, well worth the investment.

If I could give this experience 10 stars, I would!! Pablo was an excellent driver, guide, and conversationalist. He was a wealth of knowledge about the history of Normandie, but also world history, French politics, current affairs, you name it! He answered our questions (and our kids questions). Even our 4 kids had a great time. Our 14 and 12 year old boys said this was their favorite day of our whole Paris trip. Thank you Pablo for an amazing experience!

Fabrice was a superb guide for us. Extremely knowledge on all the history of Normandy-not only of the events surrounding WW2, but going back 1000 years. In addition he was extremely kind and considerate about making the tour work for my husband, who has difficulty walking stairs and long distances. We thoroughly enjoyed the day trip to Normandy, and highly recommend it.
