Memories of a Lifetime with Friends

We 4 friends reserved the helicopter for a private tour - rather expensive but oh so worth it! Two in our group had never done chopper flights so the calmness of the pilot's voice during his detailed narration of the tour as well as the flight done so peacefully was perfect. We saw numerous falls - large and small - over and inside the mountains and the Canyon walls; Na Pali coast was breathtaking! We all wished the ride had lasted longer. The staff at base could not be nicer and helpful in explaining and making sure that all prep was done perfectly. One of the best highlights of our Hawaii vacation.

Disappointing helicopter experience

The woman at the desk was rude when we were trying to depart. She was yelling about not leaving the tent and going near the aircraft when we were trying to leave the premises. She did not apologize after she finally understood our intentions. On top of that, we were not offered the option to purchase photos that the crew took of us before the helicopter ride. Depending on which side of the helicopter you sit on, you might not get to view everything. There were members of our party who only saw the ocean for a significant portion of the ride. There was also a glare in the helicopter even though we all wore dark clothing as instructed.

Amazing: A Must-Do in Kaua’i!

This helicopter tour was one of the highlights of my trip to the island of Kaua’i. The team from Sunshine Helicopters was really spectacular from start to finish. Instructions were clear, complete with notifications. The team on the ground who checked us in was welcoming, informative, and friendly. Our pilot, Chrissy was perfect. My main concern was being motion-sick but her many years of experience made the flight as smooth as can be. She made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the flight. As a tour guide she really captured all the must-sees complete with fun facts and history (with a great soundtrack as well!). Cannot emphasize enough how great the views and sites were.

Amazing ride! Chrissy, our pilot, was very knowledgeable and we saw the Jurassic Park waterfall, Na Pali coast, a 5000-foot wall of rock covered in bright green vegetation that was part of an extinct volcano; the whole thing was breathtaking.

There are not enough adjectives, but if I had to choose one “AWESOME “ is it. From the beginning this company bent over backwards to make your experience wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful from the ticketing office to the tarmac personnel. Our pilot (sorry I don’t remember) she was patient with passengers and explained everything. But she gave us the most memorable flight and I have to say the beauty brought me to tears. If I had more time on the island I would have done it again. Thank you for a wonderful memory.
