Really fun trip up the mountain!
FrankB, May 2024
Well organized, super nice guide, Marco. Gave us restaurant tips afterwards and was very knowledgeable about Barcelona and Montserrat.
Monserrat and hike
Giselle_F, May 2024
Took a funicular to the top of a mountain and then enjoyed a nice hike down passing mountain goats . Guide, Trinidad, was very knowledgeable about Monserrat and its history. Went into the monastery and saw the beautiful interior and the famous black Madonna.
A Must Do!

We were fortunate enough to have a clear day and had spectacular views towards the mountains and sea. Easy half day with variety of experiences.
Beautiful trip!

Our guide Catija was awesome. She shared many interesting and historical facts about Montserrat and Barcelona. We had enough time to be on our own and walk the absolutely beautiful site and the grounds around. The train ride, the funicular ride, the hike, the farmers market and the sweet bread expanded our experience further. Thank you for a memorable trip!
Good journey

It was a great journey to see the Monastery but we were not able to hike because of the rain. Our attendant did a great job at making the best of the situation.
Great experience!

Great hike. Trinidad and Chris were amazing hosts. They provided us with an educational tour of Barcelona and Montserrat Monastery. They are both very knowledgeable and friendly. I would def recommend for anyone looking to see breathtaking views and learn something new.
Not worth the time or money
Eric_L, Apr 2024
Bus pickup and drop off in separate locations was annoying. Tour guide, while friendly, spoke too slow and low volume. Hike was all downhill. There was a lot of waiting. Not much info provided outside of boring historical info.
Wonderful!

Guide was nice, knowledge and accommodating. Tram was cool going up mountain. Mountains were beautiful. Monastery interesting. Great trip and beautiful hike!

The highlight was the short hike on the mountain with our guide, the views were amazing. Easy walk, well worth it.
Stunning views
Katherine_A, Apr 2024
Richard was a great guide! We had a perfect blue sky day which I think made the tour (would be tough in rain). Loved seeing the monastery and the hike had incredible views (it was all downhill and not too strenuous). As other reviews said they do drop you off a little further away from town but right at the metro
Great experience to Montserrat
Jennifer_M, Apr 2024
We had a great trip to Montserrat! The weather was low 60s with sun and clear views of the countryside, including the Pyrenees mountains, on our hike. Montserrat itself was quite amazing tucked into the mountains. Our guide, Matt, was great! Even my 11 year old children enjoyed this tour. We highly recommend!
Great 1/2 day trip with amazing views!
Elizabeth_C, Apr 2024
Palo was an amazing tour guide and we really enjoyed our hike up and down Montserrat! The views were stunning and the monetary and Abbey were impressive as well!

Beautiful day in Monserrat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to Monserrat with Pao (Paul). He was so friendly, easygoing, and engaging. It’s a great 1/2 out of Barcelona if you are looking for something different to do!
Terrific views & value!
Suzanne_H, Mar 2024
Loved the Montserrat experience & our tour guide, Pol, kept a good pace & was very pleasant. Happy to take the Funicular ride up the mountain & hike back down to the Monastery. The only downside was the inconvenient return location which then cost $18 euros taxi ride back to our hotel from across the city.

Wonderful guide and experience. Montserrat was breathtaking. The hike was mostly downhill so be sure to wear proper footwear as it can be hard on the knees. I would highly recommend it!
