Wonderful Experience

What a wonderful experience. Left early to beat the crowds and the fog over the Monestry was haunting, and then being in the chapel when a service was being conducted, the organ resonating through the building and then being able to see the black Madonna close up was breathtaking. Something we will never forget and wonderfully led by our guide Alex

A Beautiful Experience

Carlos, our guide, communicated with me prior to the tour and set up a time to pick me up at the hotel. Carlos was informative and knowledgeable about the history of the sanctuary of the Virgin Mary of Montserrat. The small group was a plus, because it gave us an opportunity to get to know everyone and enjoy the tour on a more personal basis. I would highly recommend the tour with Carlos as your guide.

monastery was beautiful, views breathtaking, surrounding area stunning. Only complaint is the van while nice and new was not comfortable for eight adults. Especially the full size adult who sat in the jump seat between the driver and front passenger. Guide was knowledgable, enthusiastic and punctual picking up and returning us to our hotel.

We had a fantastic time at Montserrat! The views were spectacular and absolutely gorgeous. Our guide Alex was THE BEST!! He was on time through the entire tour but gave us ample free time to explore. He shared his heartfelt connection to Montserrat, and we could truly appreciate and feel the importance of this monastery to the people of Catalonia. We forgot our child’s jacket on the van, and Alex even went out of his way to return it for us the next day. We are thankful for his kindness and a wonderful tour experience!

The most memorable part of my tour was the tour guide, Javi Moreno. His enthusiasm and knowledge of Montserrat was extraordinary. He very clearly and thoughtfully explained to us the details of the monastery and the surroundings, as well as the tour protocols (i.e., time and place of meeting.) His compassion was displayed in his concern for my loss of my small purse. He went out of his way to report the loss to the Montserrat facilities.
