Best day of our trip to Barcelona

Fantastic day with perfect weather. Marta was an expert and took us first to Monserrat to beat the crowd. Fresh mountain air meets spiritual awakening. We had virtually no lines anywhere. We couldn’t get tix for Sagrada Familia but Marta took us to a lunch place where we could see it in full view. Park Guell was magical and a great way to end the day.

We booked this tour coming off a cruise ship. The morning of, I received a text that the tour time had been changed to a half of an hour earlier. I replied that I had to wait to disembark the ship. I also received a phone call, about an hour before my scheduled time. The representative was extremely nice and told me the Monserrat tickets had been changed unexpectedly, and someone would be waiting to pick us up at the cruise terminal. We were leaving the ship (at the originally scheduled time), and received a call that the tour would have to leave without us in order to make the Monserrat tour for everyone else. the company provided us a ride to our hotel, and picked us up so we could continue on the second half of the tour. They were very apologetic, and helpful. They also refunded half of the amount of the tour. The tour of the city was very educational, and the guide was exceptional. I would highly recommend.

We can’t thank you enough for a wonderful tour. Marta so knowledgeable and kind. We had a different tour around Sagrada Familia the next day that really made me appreciate Marta’s personality and passion for the church. We throughly enjoyed our tour and will highly recommend you to others.

We had good communication with Viator for this tour and pick up at ship went well. Our guide Marta was so informative. All the sites we saw were great. Nice having a small group. I would recommend this tour as it made our stay in Barcelona very enjoyable.

Did not get what promised

First they were not able to pick us up at the hotel so we met them at a meet spot they decided. I received a text that morning that I owed 20 euros for the trip which they will email me. Since I have no internet that did me no good and they claimed for tickets that were already paid for. So I thought ok maybe I missed something. At the Monastery I had told them we wanted tickets to see the Black Madonna which I was told they would obtain for me. When we got there I was told we have no tickets to see the Black Madonna we only have them to view it from the chapel over 500 feet up. So we had to buy those tickets. We then were the Park Guell Viator notifies the tour guide we now ow 30 euros. When I asked how it went up 10 euros in 3 hours there was some text about tickets but they did not buy any other tickets. They said they will email me when again I told them I do not have internet which does not matter to them. We get to La Sagrada Familia church which they were to get tickets for us to go inside after the tour. Surprise no tickets I showed the tour guide the email they were to get the tickets and she said she is just the guide . She text them and they said they knew nothing about it even though they said they were getting the tickets but don't forget to get the 30 euros from us. We have always used Viator in every country we visited but this will be the last time we use them with this kind of business practice. They ruined the entire tour with their incompetence. The tour guide was very good caught in the middle of this mess, They just lost a good customer and I will not hesitate to post online the disaster of both tours I booked with them.

Great tour. The tour covered a lot of interesting history of Barcelona. Our tour guide, Mark, was great. He was very patiently communicating with us and guiding us through the whole tour from booking to the actual tour. Our hotel zip code was listed wrong on Viator website. But Mark made extraordinary efforts to find us and called taxi to take us to the meeting point. Really appreciated it very much. We would highly recommend this tour company.

Gaudi highlights La Sagrada Familia Basilica and Guell Park were well presented and the visit was worthwhile to each, including the inside tour and museum at the church. We pre purchased timed tickets to skip the lines at the church. Visit to the monastery at Montserrat felt rushed and less informative. The funicular to the highest point was not operating and time would not have allowed hiking at the summit. Driving on a bus to present highlights of Barcelona was frustrating because there was only one stop (panoramic view). The tour started late because of some participants and ended earlier than advertised. The tour guide was well informed, pleasant and helpful.

Great tour. 5 of us. The tour guide was great, good information and communication. When we got to the Montserrat we were able to choose to stay a little longer and do the cart up to the mountain, incredible views. The overall tour was great, able to see Barcelona's amazing history and architecture. Only thing was we didn't really have time to get a proper lunch. I recommend this tour.

Third time in Barcelona but first time to do a guided tour of these tourist spots. It was amazing! The trip was fully packed. Our tour guide Simona was like a walking and talking encyclopedia. She never stopped talking actually. And we learned a lot from her. Her passion inspired us to understand why Gaudi was a brilliant man ahead of his time.

Our Guide Simone was very knowledgeable about Barcelona and Monserrat. In park Guel We walked around while she was taking care of some of our tour that had a hard time getting around but when we went back with her she opened our eyes to things we didn’t know to look for before. There were protests in Barcelona So we chose not to go inside to see La sagrada familia. Simone did take the people that wanted to go. Monserrat was amazing. We did not know what to expect but it was magnificent.

This was an excellent tour, Marta was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and surrounding area. The small group size of 13 as definitely a bonus. Hotel pick up and drop off was a big plus as well.

Overall the tour was informative however, at the ending of the tour the guide was very unconcerned about getting the cruisers back to port on time. We were literally dropped off at the cruise port 2 minutes before the ports closing time. When we were entering the port security was already dismantling everything! Next time I’ll stick to excursions offered by the cruise line only because I’d rather not risk missing my ship.

My husband and I booked this shore excursion for Barcelona because it allowed us to see most everything in the small amount of time we had for this cruise port. The tour itself contained about 9 people which was great, but half of the group came from hotels and not from the cruise. That group was late to their meeting point which held the rest of the group up. We stopped in Monteserrat, and yet again the group from hotels were late back to the meeting point. Once we got to Park Guell we had to be rushed because of the extra time we had to wait for the hotel group to get back to the bus and did not get a chance to even go inside a souvenir store. I would advise Viator to create shore excursions just for cruise passengers as we have the time constraint and it was clear that the people who were staying in hotels didn’t care whether or not we got to experience each spot to the fullest. It really could have been great because our tour guide was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. If you are choosing this excursion for your cruise experience I recommend standing up for yourselves when it comes to your time contraindications and seeing everything you want.

Great way to see Gaudi's famous buildings - loved Park Guell! We walked around the outside of LaSagrada Familia and the guide was very informative about the building and Gaudi. The guide also gave interesting information about Barcelona as we moved through the city. Then nice trip to Montserrat. It was a well organized excursion. We were picked up and dropped off at the port (easy to find the guide). Great day!
