Fabulous Cooking Class!!

This cooking class was easily one of the major highlights of our Xmas trip to Barcelona. Juan was our cooking chef extraordinaire! We were a large group of 11 people (two families each with multiple grown children) but he managed to get everyone involved and cooking. We each received alot of individual attention. I learned several new cooking techniques and several new recipes. The food was wonderful and the wine flowed all during dinner! By the end of dinner I felt like we had a new family member in Juan...he is the best! I highly recommend this excursion to anyone who is looking for something fun and interesting to do as well as looking to learn more about local cuisine!

It was great to learn how to make Paella. Renata was a great host and head chef. Great location on Las Ramblas. Recipes were in our email the next day, can’t wait to try and repeat it at home.

Educational experience plus dinner

We learned to cook four courses. There was one person in the group who was a vegan and the instructor was able to modify the recipes for them without it effecting our experience. The food we made was amazing. The instructor was amazing. The only complaint I have is that they said they would email us the recipes and that hasn’t happened yet and it has been several days and we really want to try them at home. So we hope they send them soon.

What fun! We had a very special evening making a multi course Spanish meal. The chef was interesting, patient, full of knowledge and kept everyone involved throughout. The dinner was excellent and I plan to replicate parts of it at home. My husband doesn’t ever cook and I love to cook. The class worked well for both of us.

Chef Juan was wonderful. He made everyone feel comfortable and connected. Ingredients were top shelf and participants act a prep chefs for all courses. Juan explained and demonstrated everything so it was fun but also well done. We had 3 glasses of wine each (white or red) throughout the 3+ hours. Fun, fun, fun for all. Thank you Chef Juan.

The instructor was very helpful and polite. He was hands on and informative. The instructor would take the time to explain all the instructions in English and in Spanish, he did this because one person only spoke Spanish. Which was amazing thing to do. It was a small class, only 6 people were in the class. He showed us how to do each step. He divided up the tasks, showed each person how to do the task, and then he assembled the final dish
