What To Expect

Disappointed

Guides were fine. Was expecting a bus from previous pictures and instead was a packed passenger van. Only had 2 stops of about 5 minutes each for pictures. The 2 shopping stops were basically to tourist traps. The first had really pushy people and the second had some uninterested people. I was expecting the tequila museum to be a museum and not a corner of the store where we were basically ignored upon entering. Shopping stops were about 30 minutes too long especially when we saw the same stuff on our own. Very disappointed overall and felt like a waste of money and time. Trip lasted only 3 hours.

Ok City tour

Our tour guide and driver were fantastic however the tour itself was not what we were looking for. We did get to see nice resort properties on the beach. We were looking for an actual city tour of the people that reside there and tour of actual malls. We visited two of the same little strip malls selling the same merchandise. One more over priced than the other. Was nice to get off the resort but we would pass if we knew what we now know. Everyone have different expectations sadly this didn't fit our criteria.

Tony & Martin were prompt, friendly and very professional! They were extremely kind and very knowledgeable! Tony knows his country’s history and tells great stories about the culture and how Cancun came about! Both gentlemen were courteous and funny! Took a trip for my daughter’s 16th birthday which she shares a birthday with my sister. All three of us enjoyed the tour! Definitely recommend

Excellent Guide and Transportation

Our guide was excellent and very fun. We enjoyed the music on the bus and he was very knowledgeable about the area. We loved that they gave us water and refreshments for our ride since it was very hot! We weren't very impressed by the contents of the tour itself. All locations were huge tourist traps. And I'm aware what Cancun is but, I'm sure there are many other markets not as touristy as what we visited.

Great experience our tour guy was so much fun and funny. Although we didn’t have the roof top bus the well air conditioned bus they used for the tour still worked out great.

We did not get to go on this due to damage to the bus. We were not even contacted about it, I had to call. We were offered a different option but the days offered did not work with our schedule and I couldn’t even get a refund back for this.

Our tour guides were excellent! So helpful with our stroller and very friendly;however the stops were not impressive. We were dropped off at couple souvenir stores that were way overpriced. That’s pretty much the whole trip.

Learning about the history of Cancún - Especially the exquisite murals on the buildings. And the dream vs reality. I have to use a scooter because my walking is limited. Martin (driver) & Tony (guide) were exceptionally helpful. They lifted it in & out, made sure to put it in a place I could ride it, helped me in & out of van. Only suggestion is more shopping time and less driving .

The guide did not have a microphone and he spoke mostly in Spanish. His English was difficult to understand. We felt we got very little historical information. The first shopping stop was a tourist trap type with high pressure jewelry salesmen or a bunch of typical tourist trap merchandise. The second stop was much nicer.

This excursion started out bad. Was told due to the weather we were going to be transported in an a/c van and not the double decker. The van a/c wasn't really working. Then we were over crowded on the van, which made it very uncomfortable. I wasn't really able to enjoy the tour do to me not being able to see what the host was talking about was only able to just listen! Overall for the price and the stops we made along the way made up for the inconvenience.

It was ok. Not worth the money paid for. It was a good experience. I think we got ripped off on the chocolate tasting. Tony was a good tour guide though. I just wish we went to more places for the price we paid though. It should be $20 per person and an extra 5 or 10 for hotel pickup. It was very hot in the van.

Not much shopping on the shopping tour

The shopping part of the tour was disappointing. We thought we would be at a market with local vendors selling handmade items. Instead we stopped and a jewelry store/souvenirs shop at two different locations. The one locatio gave a brief explanation of the tequila making process (tequila museum that is one room and a 10 minute overview) and then we were able to do tastings. We stopped at a famous cacnun sign at the beach but the line was so long to get a picture we couldn't do it in the time allotted there. Each stop felt rushed. However the drivers amd tour guide were very nice.
