Worth it!

Excellent tour with good pacing by a very knowledgeable guide. Covered Chichen Itza with excellent talking points. The stop at Kaua for lunch and the cooking demo was interesting. The cenote was cold but fun to float in, by the time we made it to Valladolid, we were tired and enjoyed the churros. The only thing I would change is add about 15 - 20 minutes to visit the Chichen vendors.

AVOID !! Choose a better tour group or drive yourself

We had the most terrible experience on this trip due to the tour guide Diego. He was very rude from the beginning and seemed to be racist. We asked if we could get coffee before at the shop in chichen itza and he was like, "you should have gotten at ur resort, didn't they give u coffee ?" We were like what?? Then we went into chichen itza and he was insisting that we don't look at any shops inside. We usually like to encourage local public and we stopped to look at some shops and I politely told him that the tour should account for a little time for us to see the local shops and he started literally yelling at us and saying that he noticed that we were not following his grp and went to see things on our own and didn't listen to his history lesson. He even said he took pictures and is going to send the..I am like I don't care! I understood that he had an agenda where they don't want us to buy anything from the locals there and want to take us to an expensive shop where they will get a commission, that's exactly what he did. On top of it he also made us print our own birth certificates for 30+ dollars which is totally not worth it. When we asked something on that he said I literally spoke in English and I am wondering why u guys didn't understand!! Talk about arrogance! This tour is very pushy and rushed, they took us for lunch and he was hovering around our head to make sure we finish faster. He was even counting the water bottles he was giving us..ridiculous! In the end they took us to Valladolid just for a 20 minute stop which is very very short, it was like a done check ✔️ at this place. My daughter was feeling tired and sick and when we asked if she could stay back for the 20 mins he declined saying she can get off the car and sit at one of the shops..never seen such an inflexible guide or tour. We have been doing activities in cancun every day for the last 1 week and this was our worst experiences. I wish I had gone with my resort or drove on my own so I and my family didnt have to go through this on a vacation.

This was a great educational and fun experience! We enjoyed the brief historical background of the Mayan architecture and culture. Seeing the pyramids and architecture was mesmerizing and awe-inspiring experience! Swimming in the most beautiful and famous cenote was exhilarating!!!! The restaurant had a live performance from natives and was absolutely amazing!!!! We concluded the tour with a stroll through the historical city of Valladolid. Our tour guide Niza was full of knowledge and humor! It was a very entertaining and educational tour.

No hay una buena coordinación entre Viator y el operador. El ticket decía que nos recogían en el hotel y a una hora específica y el operador nos recogió en otro hotel y 30 minutos después. El tour dice early access, pero no entiendo a que se refiere, porque las pirámides las abren a las 8 am y nosotros entramos casi a las 12 pm, donde el sol y el nivel de calor está en su máximo punto y hace que la visita no se disfrute mucho. El cenote es súper bonito pero el tiempo para visitarlo es súper corto, un poco más de 1 hora, de la cual por lo menos 40 minutos se te van cambiándote, haciendo filas, etc. No tienes opción para hacer paradas y comprar cosas, pero eso si, te dan suficiente tiempo para que compres en la tienda que ellos dicen y donde todo es súper costoso. Lo único bueno fue la comida, muy rica la verdad. Tengan presente que tours para ir a las pirámides hay muchos, así que la diferencia está en el servicio y la buena experiencia que se tenga.
