What To Expect

Make an early start and depart from central Dublin for your full-day tour of Ireland’s western wonders. Soak up the scenery on the drive to the west coast, then wind along the dramatic coast of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Jump out to snap photos of the striking Dunguaire Castle, a 16th-century tower perched on the seafront just north of Kinvara, then continue to Doolin. Enjoy free time to explore the quaint fishing village and tuck into some lunch (own expense)—perhaps try the famous seafood chowder at Gus O'Conner's or a pint of Guinness at Fitzgerald’s pub.

With your appetite sated, continue to The Burren and explore the otherworldly karst landscape, renowned for its exotic plants and colorful orchids. Finally, head for the day’s star attraction, the Cliffs of Moher, and enjoy ample time to walk along the 702-foot (214-meter) tall cliffs and gaze out over the rugged Atlantic coast. Admire jaw-dropping views of the Aran Islands and Galway Bay, then learn more about the geological wonder at the Atlantic Edge Exhibition and Visitor Centre.

After a full day on the west coast, journey back to Dublin and end your tour in the city center.

The tour guide was so entertaining. Paul was also super friendly and shared so much history. The view from the bus as well as all the stops were simply amazing giving us an authentic experience of Irelands rich culture. I would definitely recommend.

Doolin was included in the itinerary but we were not taken there. On top of the that, the driver was quite rude and nonfriendly. We didn't like his vibe at all.

The driver was informative and great. We had a great schedule. He kept the tour on time and prepared everyone. He was funny too! Thank you. The lunch stop was also delicious but pricy. A beer, side of mashed potatoes w/gravy, and seafood chowder was 28 Euro but worth it.

We had a great your guide- Frank have us lots of interesting information about Dublin, he was very funny and knowledgeable. The drive was scenic much of the time and there were some interesting stop s. We stayed on schedule and even avoided some weather by Frank following the storm and changing the route as necessary!

Overall a very good excursion. Brian (the driver) kept the group entertained with his humour, stories of Ireland’s past, and background about the scenery we drove by. Each stop on the trip was great, especially the Cliffs of Moher. I would recommend this experience and company to a friend.

The Cliffs of Moher! Wow this tour was great. The guide/driver was so pleasant and informative. He was a great driver and had some jams playing throughout the drive. The sights you see on this tour are so nice. You get a bit of the countryside and to see homes/villages, the cliffs, some castles/castle remains, there was so much to take in. This tour was a 10/10 it was a great pace and you get a lot, but there were two things I thought would be different. The description said we get 40 or so minutes in Doolin. I thought we were going to be dropped off on a strip of eateries and shops but we were taken to a cute restaurant where we ate and then back on the bus. I just thought we were gunna have a few eating chooses to pick, not just the one. On the way back to Dublin we stopped at this castle sight but due to the rain we all kinda missed it and just stayed in the shops (that ones on us). This was a 10/10 tour and one of the highlights of our holiday. I would recommend this trip to anyone. Pro tip, buy hot hands/hot feet, they are a life savior and will have you so toasty warm at the cliffs!

One of the visitors got injured at the Cliffs of Moher. I appreciate the fact that the bus driver drove her to the hospital and us to the next location. While we spent time there, he went back and picked her up. Given the amount of driving he had to do that day, we very much appreciate his gesture. Be aware that there is no separate tour guide, there is only one driver.

Actual tour didn’t match Viator itinerary- BEWARE

I have requested a full refund for this experience. On Viator, the tour itinerary included 1 hour in Doolin (tour the town and choose a lunch spot if desired) and 20 minutes to get out and explore the Burren. Viator contracted with Paddywagon for this tour. The Paddywagon bus driver told me that the tour would not be stopping in Doolin and in fact “hasn’t stopped there in over 2 years” and also would not be stopping at the Burren. Instead, for lunch we all ate as a bus group in a sub-standard cafeteria with no privacy and 2 toilets total. So I was left with purchasing a tour itinerary but the tour operator did not follow that itinerary. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated, as Doolin and the Burren were two main reasons that I selected this particular itinerary. On top of that, the Paddywagon driver Aiden was very terse, cranky, and seemed disinterested in the tour. A direct quote on the 2 1/2 drive back to Dublin: “Since I’ve got a long drive and need to zone out, I’m picking my favorite music and turning off the Irish music. If you don’t like it, tough sh*t.” Enough said. I look forward to my refund.
