It was so exciting to go down into the mound at New Grange. But the larger mound at knowth was also great to see. Our guide Matt was wonderful. He knew a lot of history and shared lots of details you don't learn elsewhere. Would recommend this tour to everyone.

Our driver,Kevin, was so knowledgeable and funny. The guides at both Louth and Newgrange were so friendly and knowledgeable. Going into the chamber at Newgrange was unforgettable.

Old Ireland in one day

Tour guide Kevin with hilltoptrekkers was very good. Knowledgeable, helpful, pleasant. Newgrange was best because you went inside. Visitor centre was very nice. After they took us to a battlefield for extra cost. All run by OPW, just add the cost to the tour. If you are interested in ancient sites this is a good one. Lots of walking though, most tourists are older or infirm so this may cause problems for some.

The tour guide, Matt, was amazing. Very knowledgeable and funny. He shared so much history and made it interesting and relevant. The coach was new and comfortable and actual historical sites we visited were amazing.

Going into the chamber at New Grange is not to be missed! The High Crosses and setting were spectacular! Learning more about the hunger famine was sobering. The story of how Ireland came under British rule was very interesting.
