Lovely ride through the Chianti hills. The group we were with was very large - 60 people. Tastings were very small. Would have liked more time in Radda.

We loved the whole thing, a great day. I’d rate it a 4.5. In terms of feedback, and I suspect some of this is outside of your control but here it is anyway. The first vineyard, in the countryside, was spectacular. Staff was amazing, location was stunning, just wish we could have stayed longer. The second vineyard, the wine was great, the instructor was excellent, very informed, etc., but we were crammed in like sardines and totally rushed through, that part was not fun at all. The stop in the little town, I’d skip that next time and use that time at vineyards instead. There wasn’t really enough time to do anything and the restaurant staff in the town seemed annoyed that we all arrived at once (I don’t blame them). The coordinator I’d give her a 4. She was good but had unnecessary attitude at times. To conclude as I started, we totally loved the day, just wanted to provide feedback in case it’s helpful!

This experience was fine. Do not expect to get drunk or even buzzed on it. Very light pours at the two wineries included. Also eat before. Yes, there is snacks, but it’s a very small amount. A nice drive on a big tour bus through the countryside, but there’s definitely better tasting experiences out there.

Insufficient wine and insufficient time

I booked the tour with Viator but they oversold the tour and when I went to check in, they said that it was sold out, despite the fact that I had booked and paid for it. It was very disappointing because I had my family of 7 with me and that was our plan for the day. Viator refunded me my money. I ended up getting stuck in Florence because of the eruption in Sicily. I booked the tour a day later directly with sightseeing experience and it was terrible. It was a 6 hour tour and we barely got full glass on wine combined. We went to two wineries (the second was more of a wine shop). The tastings were each 30 minutes in duration and felt rushed. The food portions were so small and so were the tastings. I have done several wine tasting tours in Italy and this was my least favorite. It took up a full day and felt like a waste. They should charge more and gave better pours. I ended up going to a local wine shop in Radda and purchased a bottle to enjoy. Save your precious time in Florence and book a better tour.

tour as described 3 wines for each tasting, 2 tastings in total at two wineries. The free time to visit the village in Chianti is sufficient to buy souvernirs and admire the sunset. A bit of traffic on the way back to the bus but that's not the fault of the tour operator, we had an excellent experience especially for the price because compared to many other companies this is the most competitive

Beautiful Chianti

We thought the tour was good, though we did feel the first wine tasting was very rushed with miniscule portions of cheese and salami. The setting was beautiful though. However, the second tasting in Radda was brilliant and we learned a lot about wine from the knowledgable host, portions of salami and cheese were good. Radda itself was delightful, and it was great to gave some free time there. Our guide Chiara was excellent throughout the tour.
