The guides were knowledgeable and so entertaining! All of the equipment and logistics flowed smoothly. This was such an amazing contrast to the bustle of Florence! Sprawling hills of grape vines and olive trees, centuries-old villas, lunch al fresco at the castle. Great photo opportunities to remember this incredible experience. Definitely a highlight of all of our experiences in Italy!

My husband & I had a wonderful experience—such a great day trip from Florence! The tour guide was super friendly & knowledgeable, the views were beautiful (even with things just starting to grow, with it being earlier in the season), and the lunch + wine-tasting was delicious. At the end you have the opp to buy wine & olive oil, which we definitely did.

Angus and Ben were excellent guides and we had a wonderful time!! Bears beautiful, ride around a beautiful castle estate in the countryside. Wonderful to end with learning about the local wine and olive oil production. Berries.

We met up in Florence and rode to Tuscany with Alessio. He was very personable and nice to talk to. Once we got to our destination we were fitted for our bikes and made sure we were all ready to go. Angus was our guide and was super knowledgeable of the area and fun as well. He was kind to take our picture in front of the beautiful scenery. Once we got to the castle and toured the winery, we had lunch which was amazing! Sampled wines as well as olive oil. Very organized. We were able to purchase wine and olive oil or have the option to ship home as well. On the ride back Alessio offered to drop us off at Piazzale Michelangelo, as it has the best views of Florence. It was such a fun, memorable experience. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

I had a great time with Tuscany Bike Tours. Our guide Angus was friendly, funny, efficient and professional at all times. We were kept well informed and safe: The tour was well paced and scenic, offering stunning views of the Tuscan countryside. It was interactive and fun, ok, so I didn’t make it up the steep hill (although I gave it a good go!) but help was always on hand in case of this. The Vineyard we visited was beautiful and lunch there was delicious, much better than I expected. Make sure you grab a bottle of their speical wines. A special thanks and warm regards to Alessio, (one of the directors) he was very personable and had a lovely energy, I enjoyed our chats about the history of Florence, his childhood and life.. all very interesting and inspiring :) I highly recommend this tour to anyone in search of a fun way to see the Tuscan countryside! What a fantastic team! :)

After fast paced tours of the Vatican, Colosseum, and a bus tour of Tuscany, this small intimate bike tour of Chianti was the perfect day for us and one of the best memories of our Italy trip. The roads and scenery were breathtaking, the ride itself was over undulating roads, our guide, Angus, did a great job of keeping the pace manageable, when someone got a flat the support van was there in several minutes to swap out the wheel and get us on our way again. There's one challenging hill about 3/4 of the way into the ride, no worries if it's too much for a beginner, or even more seasoned cyclists, the van will give you a lift to the top so you're able to finish the ride back to the winery. The tour of the winery was every bit as cool as the ride itself, lots of history, great wine paired with an exceptional lunch. These guys are the best, highly recommended if your looking for an active tour of Tuscany without being stuck on a tour bus all day.

What a spectacular way to spend a day in Tuscany! Our guide, Angus, was knowledgeable and fun, and provided the perfect tour-leader spirit. The ride is gorgeous with lots of scenic vistas for pictures, you ride past olive groves and wineries… the works! The castle is incredible, and the tour of the wine cellar and oil mill- although brief- is illustrative enough to learn about how important it is to the culture and area in Chianti. The lunch was superb! The spot on the grounds is right out of a movie, and the food and wine was delish! All around a wonderful tour that we all highly recommend doing! The only things I would note is that you spend about 19-20km riding, so an Ebike is a great option if you can swing it. Especially since the hill towards the end of the ride is killer without an Ebike. Since you ride overall downhill for more than half of the distance from the get-go, then ride on the flat valley floor, you have to quickly make up the incline at the end. Quite a few in our group opted to ride in the van with their bikes on the rack. I do think the route should be outlined more thoroughly in the tour description (if tour guides read this!) as I think some in our group were in over their heads even with Ebikes. But if you are fit and have an Ebike, it is wonderful.

We had a great time biking alongside the vineyards and through the hills. Our guide was very friendly, informative and made sure we were all safe. The ride is on the road with cars occasionally passing. There is a van with a bike rack that follows the group incase someone decides to stop riding the bike. You will raise your heart rate during the uphill parts, but the ride is doable for anyone in decent shape. The pace of our group was leisurely, as we all enjoyed the scenery. The bikes have gears to make it easier to go uphill. After the ride, we had lunch at the historic castle and received a tour of the wine cellar and olive oil cellar. The lunch was delicious, along with the wine and oil tasting. We had such a great time and would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys seeing the country side with a little exercise.
