What To Expect

Embark on a catamaran cruise from Port Allen Marina to the Napali Coast aboard a 50-foot (15-meter) vessel. Discover vistas unreachable from land, such as dramatic cliffs, waterfalls, and verdant valleys. Wildlife enthusiasts might glimpse dolphins, turtles, and seasonally, humpback whales too.

When conditions are right, the crew sails traditionally, using only the wind for an authentic and quiet journey, so you can enjoy the tranquility of the ocean and the magnificent views.

As the sun sets, a freshly prepared dinner is included, with a variety of beverages to choose from—such as mai tais, beer, and wine—as well as a Champagne toast.

2. Not recommended for individuals who have/had back problems, recent injuries or surgeries

4. Children must be 5 years or older.
5. All tour routes and destinations are subject to change without notice. Ocean conditions can and will sometimes turn rough. Snorkeling depends on ocean conditions.
6. Cancelled tours by Holo Holo Charters are fully refundable or gladly rescheduled.
7. "No shows" or any cancellation within 24-hours of check-in time is subject to a 100% charge of the total fare including tax.
8. We are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.
9. We reserve the right to refuse service.

10. Mobility aids such as canes, walkers, crutches, wheelchairs, etc. are not allowed on board.
11. We do not land on shore.
12. Non-swimmers are not allowed in the water.
13. Full-face snorkel masks are not allowed; guests are required to use traditional two-piece snorkel and mask sets.
14. If you do not have your prescribed medication with you, i.e. Inhalers, EpiPens, diabetic medication and/or any other daily medications, you must reschedule your tour for another day.
15. No smoking of any kind, including electronic cigarettes.
16. You should bring your own towels, sunscreen, a light jacket and camera. We will provide everything else.
17. All tours are "Bare-Foot". Passengers will remove their shoes prior to boarding. Only orthopedic/diabetic exceptions will be made at captain's direction.
18. In accordance with our liquor license, guests may not bring their own alcohol and IDs are required for age verification. Intoxicated guests will not be served and may be denied boarding. Alcohol will be served only after snorkeling on applicable tours.
19. No coolers or drones/unmanned aircraft allowed on-board.
20. Spray-on sunscreen is a safety hazard and may not be used on-board the vessel. We encourage using reef-friendly sunscreens.
21. Our vessels are equipped with sensitive marine heads (toilets) that clog easily. Do not flush anything other than what your body produces and the toilet paper we provide.
22. Please use Holo Holo parking lot only or your car will be towed.
As a company that puts sustainability at the forefront of goals, we request you bring your own reusable water bottle with you on tour.

The checkin was easy and the captain was clear and friendly from the beginning. The boat had plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. The crew served us drinks and food throughout the experience which was nice so you didn’t have to wobble over to the bar to get a drink while we were bouncing over waves! The scenery was absolutely incredible! The Nā Pali coast is unlike anything I’ve ever seen! Simply breathtaking and otherworldly! The crew kept us informed with information and history of places throughout the sail. Overall incredible experience - we will be recommending specifically this dinner sail to our friends and will 100% do it again next time we visit! Thank you Captain Mike, Nicole and Danny for your warm hospitality and the spectacular experience - you three made it special!

We felt taken care of by the crew on this amazing cruise. Although a few of us felt a bit queasy at times, the sights we witnessed were worth it. The coastline is breathtaking!

If you do book, I recommend booking this excursion directly through the operator Holo Holo Charters in the summer months between May 15 and Sept. 7 to have a better chance of reasonably calm wave/weather conditions. Our group was confirmed to set sail on February 17th, and we even got a confirmation call the day of stating that it was still moving forward as planned. We got ready, drove out there, and they pulled a classic “bait and switch” on us, and said that the ocean conditions did not permit sailing north towards the Na Pali Coast, but that we could still sail south towards Poipu. We were only given 30 seconds notice of this dramatic change in the tour plans, and were forced to decide right then and there as the Captain was walking towards the dock. There was no discounted fare offered for not seeing the Na Pali coast. I understand wave conditions vary daily and there are very real safety concerns, but I think it was known in advance the wave conditions would not allow the tour, and they decided to not disclose this to people out of fear of mass cancellations and losing out on money. It was just super frustrating and we wasted half of the day getting ready and driving to this place for that to happen. We got our money back, thankfully, but I just wish they just told people fairly and honestly because we had very limited time on Kauai and seeing the Na Pali coast was the whole reason we booked this excursion.

The sunset cruise with Captain Max was fantastic! Check-in was easy and prompt. The views of the Napoli Coast were beautiful. Crew-mates Luke and Kiley worked diligently to make sure every guest was tended to the entire time. Drinks were never empty and the food/snacks were plentiful. We also enjoyed the fun facts provided by the crew along the way. The sunset was outstanding! Captain Max timed it perfectly and we couldn’t have had a better experience. We even got to see a few whales. We would most certainly book again and specifically request Captain Max, Luke & Kiley. A Must See!

We had an amazing experience with Captain Jessica! She handled that huge power catamaran at high speeds with great skill while all the time pointing out and describing areas along the beautiful Napali Coast. She even spotted a pod of around 20 spinner dolphins that she slowed down to follow for several minutes so everyone onboard was able to see them and take pics. The sailboat ride was canceled so we went on the power catamaran. No disappointment AT ALL!!

Excellent tour very informative and the crew was just outstanding! The reason I gave a four star was we had to be bare foot which concerned me about catching athletes feet or warts also going to the head (Bathroom) standing on a wet floor. I see no reason not to wear slip on water shoes.

It was a fun, beautiful way to spend the evening. Check in was simple, there's a short walk to the pier, a few safety talks, and away you go! Crew members were fantastic, attentive and informative. The captain let us know when the ride would be bumpy or wet. Food was delicious. You will get wet! Bring quick dry clothes and a towel! The coastline was gorgeous. Ample time for pictures. Gorgeous, gorgeous sunset. We loved it!

So much fun. The crew was very attentive and tended to all of our needs. Make sure you take care of your motion sickness, it will kick in if you are susceptible. I don't get sea sick and had a blast. My wife doesn't get sea sick on our lake boat, but got very sick on this. Still an amazing view, crew was funny and so nice.
