Excellent day trip to the Cotswolds and Oxford

Outstanding experience. The guide, Flossie, and driver, Rohan, were excellent. The bus showed up at the meeting point on time, and they kept everything running on time all day. The directions to the meeting point were easy to follow. We enjoyed the sites included in the tour, and we were pleased that Flossie conducted a walking tour of Oxford. She was very knowledgeable of the area and added some wonderful anecdotes. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone wishing to at least get a tiny taste of the Cotswolds and the historic city of Oxford.

Tour was fine. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave lots of information on the way. Rather rushed in Bedford. Walking tour in Oxford good. Could have had less time in Oxford and spent more time in other locations.

Our tour guide James and our driver were superb. Their job wasn’t easy with the rain in Oxford. I was lucky our group was always on time. James gave us great tips on where to eat & where to go after his exceptional narration of historical and fun facts. I went to the top of the cathedral for 5.00 per his suggestion, You must be fit and slim. This was a challenge due to how narrow, claustrophobic and small the stairs were. The viewing area do not go all the way around and only 4 people could stand side by side. I love photography and I got my best Oxford photos from the top of the church.

This was a good day trip from London. Lots of time to do things on your own. My only complaint is the tour operator needs to be on their game and let you know when tube stations are going to be closed, I received specific instructions the night before on taking the tube to Gloucester Road tube station, The tube station was closed which caused many of us to panic and nearly miss the tour. I would think they should not just force through normal emails when a bank holiday is involved.

Had a great time today and lucked out with beautiful weather! James our guide and Courtly the bus driver were great. James was very knowledgeable and gave us perfect recommendations and suggestions in Bibury, Burford and Oxford. Definitely could have spent longer in Oxford to visit some of the colleges.

Unfortunately I cannot remember the names of the driver and guide, I think the guide’s name was James and the driver’s name was Courtly but I may be wrong. Me and my friends had a wonderful time of this tour and the guide sure knew everything about where we went. He gave us excellent recommendations whilst in Oxford and was very entertaining and enthusiastic about what he was telling us about.

Skip the villages, go for an Oxford only tour

Oxford was the best part and I wish I had chosen an Oxford only tour. bibury was a tourist only 'take a picture and move on' kind of place and beauties was a silly tourist trap, nothing to write home about. The guide James was EXCELLENT , we had a 1 hour tour in Oxford and he is very knowledgeable

James, or tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The ride was very comfortable. Bilbury and Oxford were a must see. Burton on the water was very touristy. If I had the choice I would not have stopped there and spent more time in Oxford. Overall it was a great time and I’d highly recommend.

Wish this tour was a little different

This was a nice trip. My daughter and I enjoyed our time. Our driver Darren was very nice and informative. Our guide James was wonderful. My rating of this doesn’t really apply to them. Overall, we LOVED our time in the Cotswolds. If I could change one thing about this tour, it would be to have more time in the Cotswolds and less time at Oxford. The walking tour we did with James at Oxford was great. If it ended there, we would have been very happy. We did not need the extra hour and a half to explore on our own. The places I would have loved to have had that extra time would have been Bourton on the Water or gone to another town/village in the Cotswolds. The worst part about our tour was that we were in a smaller bus (big enough for 18ish people). A woman on our tour was openly coughing without covering her mouth at all, literally every 2 min. We had no choice but to sit one row away from her and the coughing was relentless, all over the bus. She NEVER stopped. She should have been asked to leave as her cough was very noticeable before we even got on the bus. We were the last pickup. I don’t know if there should be a health screen required but if people sound audibly sick on a bus that isn’t very big or ventilated, they should either be handed a mask or asked to do the tour another day when they are feeling better. I don’t appreciate feeling forced to be around someone like this so closely, when the last thing I want to do when I am on vacation is get sick because someone can’t give the common courtesy to cancel a tour if they aren’t feeling well, least of all have the courtesy to cover her mouth when coughing. This ruined our experience on this tour.

Highly recommend! Experienced guide and driver who were very supportive.

Excellent tour thanks to driver and guide to the Cotswolds and Oxford. Love it when the guide imparts pearls of wisdom such as where ‘I have a frog in my throat’ comes from. The weather was good for a change and all went well.

We had confirmed booking with voucher and everything and reached at the picking stop well in time. Tour operator didn't have our names on his list and denied us boarding. I was traveling with my old parents, took day off, started early morning and the whole experience of speaking with Viator customer service, to the tour operator was exhausting. It was very unprofessional.

This is the first I have heard about this matter. Perhaps you were talking to Viator directly and not the tour operator? It was a great trip despite a rainy day. Picturesque English Cotsvolt villages and preserved nature are worth seeing. Our guide James was great. He talked a lot about the area of OUV and gave us nice and informative guided tour around central Oxford. No one should miss to visit Ashmolean museum in Oxford and to try fish&chips in Bourton-on-the-water. Drive was pleasant and safe thanks to driver Ben and comfortable bus.
