The guide gave me a headache
Elver_R, May 2024
While our guide was knowledgeable English was obviously a second language. She was difficult to understand at times and constantly repeated herself - a bit like an exaggerated stutter. Difficult to listen to.
Pauly and Kee

Pauly and Kee were exceptional The weather was perfect Fellow tourists were quite tolerable Highly recommended
Nice Trip

The bus ride was a great way to get to Stonehenge and the driver and tour guide were great. The only thing I would change is to allocate less time at Stonehenge and more time at Windsor. Between the Castle and the town, there is so much to do in Windsor and we only got to see the Castle and not all of the Castle.
Great day trip!

The pre-trip information was helpful. We were in a comfortable coach with driver Colli and guide Ruth, both were great. Colli got us everywhere safe and Ruth was very knowledgeable and helpful. I learned a lot about Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and London in general. It was an enjoyable day!
Great Trip! Great Tour Guide!
Kristin_C, Mar 2024
Tom our tour guide was amazing! He was super funny and knowledgeable. He told us so much about Stonehenge and Windsor. I think I learned more from him than I did on at the actual places. The bus ride, with Amish at the helm, was smooth and comfortable. The sights, of course, were amazing too.
NO guide & Racist Comment
Bethany_G, Mar 2024
I absolutely loved Stonehenge. Windsor Castle was magical as well. The reason I'm giving this tour 1 star is for a couple of reasons. First, the guide. I was extremely disgusted by the guide's ignorance & conscientious stupidity when it came to an important topic- race! Instead of asking me my nationality, which is American; the guide automatically ASSUMED I was Indian, asking me, I'm assuming you're Indian"! Don't make assumptions. It's rude & unprofessional. I "ASSUME" he's an idiot. This is culturally inappropriate. Secondly, having a guide was basically pointless. The only benefit was the bus ride. We explored both Stonehenge & Windsor Castle on our own. He told us nothing about the history & we were left wandering around trying to figure things out on our own. I truly DID NOT see the point of his presence. Especially considering we paid for a guided tour. Very disappointing.
Horrible tour and rude guide
Christine_H, Dec 2023
This was a very disappointing trip to Windsor and Stonehedge. The weather prevented us from going to Stonehedge and most likely could have been prevented had this tour company been on top of this tour. One call to Stonehedge could have solved this. After being 20 minutes away from Stonehedge we turned around to go to Windsor. Once we get to Windsor after being on the bus for 2.5 hours we were told not to go to the bathroom because we had to rush to the Castle. Some people used the bathroom because they had to and they were yelled at by our guide. The guide really did not care if her group was together, you just had to keep up with her. This was difficult for our family as we had one person who could not walk as fast as the rest of the group. Once we got to the Castle the guide only talked to the front of the group so we missed all she was saying since we were in the back of the group. We were told that we would try and get back to Stonehedge so our time was limited at the Castle. We quickly toured the Castle and were back to the bus when were told we could not go to Stonehedge and could have more time in Windsor. It would have been nice to have a little more time in the Castle instead of running through it. This tour group was horrible. Guide gave us her views more than history of the places we passed on the bus. The bus driver was the only thing enjoyable about this trip. Please find another tour that is not run by Golden Tours. I would try Evans Evans tours, they were delightful.
Cancelled without notice
Kathleen_J, Dec 2023
The tour was cancelled and I was not notified. I showed up at the correct time and place and another guy and I were told to go to another place. He got on another bus when they finally figured it out. They didn't know where my bus was and finally called someone on a walkie talkie and told me the tour was cancelled. Very Unprofessional.
A must do!

Loved the tour, beautiful day and Trish was amazing!! Stonehenge was so impressive and Windsor Castle just amazing!
Amazing tour
Debbie_W, Oct 2023
We had an amazing time on this tour. Lots of time in both Windsor and Stonehenge, not rushed at all. I can't say enough good things about our tour guide Pauley. Funny and kind and super helpful. Our driver, Saleh, was great as well. Totally recommend .
Good day trip
Diane_G, Sep 2023
Stonehenge is majestic. Just the age of this is amazing. But I honestly do feel we had too much time there - guess it wasn't as busy the time of year I went. Windsor Castle....it was beautiful but wish there were more open rooms to explore. Our tour guide Regina was actually really good as well. She made me laugh quite a few times and she was always looking out for us.
Fabulous

Wonderful trip. Fabulous guide Pauly and driver Mario. Met some lovely people too. Highly recommended. Timing was perfect. I didn't feel at all rushed
Unaccompanied Tours
Gail_R, Aug 2023
Wish I was advised to carry my ear pods to listen to tour info available on bus ... and tour guide did not offer any. Also would have liked audio tours of both Stonehenge + Windsor Castle since guide did not accompany us and dropped us off beyond point where I believe these were offered. Having no info during your was disappointing. Guide did narrate a bit while driving. Enjoyed that info. Guide also should have advised when toilets were available. I did ask and then many others in our group used toilets as well. Instructions back to bus at Windsor were difficult ... huge area and confusing to me. Almost missed meeting time. Had dropped a pin on my phone, but then had spotty reception and unable to track back to pin. A couple more checkpoints from guide while walking away from bus instead of after arriving at castle would have been very helpful.

Stonehenge site was impressive and I appreciated the time given to exploring it in peace. On the other hand, the visit to Windsor seemed much hurried, especially because it was very crowded that day. The instructions back to the coach park were not adequate and I got lost in the narrow streets of Windsor and nearly missed the meeting time. I would have liked a bit more time in the cute city, and an unhurried cup of coffee after the castle tour.
Great experience!
Melissa_M, Jul 2023
Great experience! Felt like we had a good amount of time at both Stonehenge and Windsor Castle without feeling rushed! Tish was a great tour guide!
Good tour bad guide
Dani_C, Jul 2023
Nice places. Really bad guide - inventing facts and complaining over things and previous tourist. Im sure she will make up stories about us too. Who knows.
Horrible
Nancy_J, Jul 2023
My biggest issue was the guide. She was not a very friendly woman and was the reason we couldn't get in to see Windsor castle. She walked so fast from the bus to the castle ( it was through a train station and mall like area) we couldn't keep up. When we finally got there the group had already gone in so we were not allowed in.

It was a great day and our tour guide Tom was excellent! There is plenty of time at both places to see everything and Tom made the long ride interesting and fun.
Great day trip
Kenneth_A, Jun 2023
This was a good day trip to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle and we got the bonus of going into St. George’s Chapel which we really didn’t expect. This is a tour run by a company so make good use of your time. We had about 2 hours at Stonehenge which was plenty of time to walk all around the rocks and take pictures from different angles. The queues were very short for the shuttle back and forth thankfully. We also had about 3 hours at Windsor Castle and the surrounding area. Lots of places to shop and get something to eat. Going inside Windsor and St. George’s Chapel was amazing to say the least, but no photography allowed in either. Tour guide Eileen was a wealth of knowledge and kept the mood light. The bus rides to Stonehenge and back are long. I know they are just doing there job, but the end of the tour is where I just don’t think it’s necessary to grovel for reviews or lecture us on why we need to be on time back to the bus etc. Overall the experience was great. If it’s your first time for either place, then this is a good trip, but next time I will probably do on my own at my own pace.
Good tour; good luck finding your bus to start the day.
Greg_M, Jun 2023
The tour was good; the tour guide, Tom, was awesome. And Dan, the driver, was good as well. The pick up is bizarre. They tell everyone to meet at Stop 1; but that's not even where you catch the bus. My bus was at Stop 4; I had to go find it. And the two people I asked for help prior to that (the bus driver sitting at Stop 1 and the person he told me to go ask since he didn't know the answer) had no idea where my bus was. I was just told "they will come find you." He couldn't explain who "they" were or how they were supposed to find me.
