Wonderful, full on day trip to Glastonbury and Cheddar
vaniarob, Aug 2023
This was a fantastic trip with lots of highlights. It's quite a lot for a day so be ready to come back tired. Choices have to be made in terms of where to go as there is no time for everything but it's surely worth it to have a glimpse of these to places. We had lots of fun. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and helpful. Recommend.

Mystical trip

Fabulous trip and great learning. Very mystical place. Would be great if I had more time in Glastonbury. But enough to make me want to do an independent trip.

Waste of time

My wife and I really wanted to see Cheddar Gorge, so when I saw this tour I was very happy. Firstly, we we're picked up at Earl's court at 8.20am by the mini coach, there some seats left since we were the last pick up point, unfortunately our seats were facing backwards, so imagine for almost 9 hrs on the road we were riding backwards. Plus the fact the bus was very hot because of the controlled temperature, every body was complaining how hot it was and then the aircon will open for a couple of hours and then off again with the heating which was always on (and everybody was wearing winter clothes which makes it very uncomfortable) About the tour in Glastonbury, we arrived at 11.45am, we were given enough time to roam around the Glastonbury Abbey, but if you wanted to go to Glastonbury Tor, it's not enough. At 2.30 we left Glastonbury, for some reason (we were not informed) the bus had a detour and we arrived Cheddar Gorge at 5.00 (the only reason we went on this tour) EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED already. We were given 1 hr and 15mins to roam around, since all shops and caves were closed already there's nothing really left to do. Such a waste of time. I would NOT recommend this trip.
lame

This was the worst tour I have ever taken. I was looking forward to Glastonbury and to a narrative from the guide. He was nodding off for a large majority of the tour, and there was very little information shared. We were given tickets to the abbey and let loose. There was very little time allocated in Galstonbury and WAY too much time in Chedder Gorge so ruined both for all. To top it all, the bus broke down and ended up getting back to London by 9:30 at night. It was awful and I would not recommend this tour to anyone.

Highly recommend for both solo traveler's and families. This was by far the best tour while visiting England. We were blessed with sunny/ warm weather. Glastonbury was a wonderful stop for shopping and vegetarian lunch with tea. Climbing the Tor was steep and not an easy climb but well worth it when you get to the top. Cheddar Gorge offers a climb and underground cave tour Price not included with tour but well worth the look if you mention the tour group at the cashier you get a discount. The tour guide was super helpful and friendly. The bus is a new Mercedes Benz van with clean seats and climate control too. If I went back to England I'd do more tours with this group. Professional, easy going and well managed.

Loved Glastonbury Abbey, a beautiful and peaceful site. Dont climb up to the Tor if you're afraid of heights, some parts of the path are very narrow and have no rails wish someone had told me before. Cheddar Gorge is also brilliant if you like nature walks and cave-exploring and cheese, of course. Overall an amazing trip.
