What To Expect

Select a morning or evening tour when you book. Then, depart Central London by comfortable, air-conditioned coach and begin your tour to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stonehenge.

Visitors who arrive at the site during main daylight hours are only allowed to stroll the perimeter pathway around the monument, a route roped off from the stone circle. However, this ‘private viewing’ tour lets your group enter the roped-off circle of stones to see the monolithic blocks at truly close quarters.

Hear the fascinating facts and mysteries that surround the monument from your expert guide, and by enjoying the rarified atmosphere of the inner circle, experience the site at its magical best! With luck, and depending on the season, you may even visit during a sunrise or sunset, making the occasion extra special.

Morning Tour: After seeing Stonehenge, continue to nearby Lacock: a quaint village dating to the 13th century. Stretch your legs on a guided walk around the pretty lanes, and see some of the locations used in the movie 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,' and a TV adaptation of 18th-century writer Jane Austen’s 'Pride and Prejudice.' Afterward, savor a hearty breakfast (own expense) at The George Inn, Lacock’s 14th-century pub, before venturing to the beautiful, UNESCO-listed city of Bath, famous for its Roman spa and Georgian architecture.

Tour the well-preserved Roman Baths, built over natural hot springs (if upgrade selected); see Bath Abbey, and learn about Jane Austen’s connections to the city. Alternatively, use some free time to perhaps shop for gifts or view Bath’s highlights on your own.

Evening Tour: Leave London for Bath and visit the stunning Roman Baths (if upgrade selected) and Bath Abbey, as set out in the morning itinerary. Then, drive on to postcard-worthy Lacock to amble around its historical streets. Later, sit down to dinner (own expense) at The George Inn, before journeying to Stonehenge for your ‘private viewing,’ after the daytime visitors have left.

This was an amazing experience! Our guide Nick and driver Jermaine were excellent. Sharing information and interactive with the tour group, but had some quite time on the ride too. Access to the inner circle was breath taking. The Stonehenge guide Chris was fantastic and so knowledgeable.

This is the tour to choose for Stonehenge!

Walking inside the circle was indescribable. The guide did a great job to explain the stone’s alignment and its complexity in the alotted time. He is very knowledgeable and funny too.
Worth it.

Beautiful tour. My favorite was the Stonehenge, you really feel at peace there. I could’ve done without the bath museum but the town was really nice as well as locock. Ava and Jermaine were incredible.
A Day In History

Our guide, Andrew, was very entertaining and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the his style of presenting the history of each location as we traveled. This gave us an insight to what to expect as we arrived. At each site we were given additional facts and history. Also our bus driver, Jeremy, was an excellent driver. We felt completely safe as we traveled.
Fantastic Tour!

We had a great time seeing Stonehenge, Lacock, and Bath! The inner circle was definitely worth the cost, we would have been disappointed not to have been able to walk amongst the towering stones and hear the history from our on-site guide (also named Nick). Breakfast in Lacock with a little walking tour was so fun! And Bath…well, Bath is stunning and walking amongst the archeological dig site at the Roman Baths was a worthwhile add-on as well! Neil is to be commended for his fantastic driving skills! And Nick was engaging, funny, and knowledgeable. We would absolute recommend this trip!

Inner circle tour a must

Nick was an exceptional tour guide, knowledgeable and entertaining. Jermaine, our driver, also a professional photographer, was just as important to our experience and we thank him as well.
A Must Dp

Was the best day! Our driver jeroime and our tour guide, Nicholas were fabulous. Learned so much history along the way sandwiched with humor. We were all engaged and quickly the whole bus became friends. Bathe was lovely, followed by a walking tour before dinner (who knew we see so many fun facts- like seeing places filmed in Harry Potter and Downton Abby. . Stone Henge was simply awe inspiring. Walking in the inner circle was special and memorable. A Must Do. Thank you, Nicholas! You were fun and caring.- All the way down to giving your jacket to a guest who was so cold walking around the Henge. Marilyn 4-7-24

This was an incredible tour. Being up close with the stones, visiting Lacock, and exploring Bath were all experiences we will never forget. The only downside was that we visited in winter and it was a very cold day, but at least the sun was shining.
This trip rocked!

Carol and Jermaine were fantastic! We had a ball! Jermaine was a fantastic photographer and driver. Carol took such great care of us that I felt like I brought my mum with me. And she knew everything! She was a true historian!
A must to do the inner circle experience!

Stonehenge from the Inside and More

Our tour guide, Frank, offered interesting commentary on our drive to Stonehenge. It is a special experience being able to walk within the stone circle, and as the only group there. We had a good group, and enjoyed breakfast/brunch together, a surprisingly good meal, in the medieval village of Lacock. From there we went to Bath to see the Roman baths and enjoy the town. Frank's suggestion for Cornish pasties at a particular restaurant was much appreciated. They were delicious! It is an early morning to be sure, but it is worth it!
Worth Every Cent!

My adult son and I are traveling together and decided to take this trip. What a wonderful time we had on this trip! It went smoothly from start to finish, thanks in large part to our wonderful guide Nicholas and our impressive driver Nils! Our first stop was Bath. Some toured the Roman baths for which the city is named but with such a short time there (over an hour) we decided to tour Bath instead. It was the right choice! We visited the beautiful Bath Abbey where the first king of England was crowned, then walked along the river to the bridge where we had a lovely cream tea with river views. Then we met back up with the guide who took us to a local purveyor of meads and ciders where we got to taste local mead. Our next stop was Stonehenge where we had inner circle access. Ours was the sunset tour so because the gift shop would be closed when we returned, they allowed us a quick trip to the souvenir shop before setting out in a short shuttle to the stones. The visit inside the stones was definitely worth the extra money. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I know if we'd have chosen the trip without inner circle access we'd have been disappointed because it's so close yet still so far when it's the only time you'll be there! We walked among the stone with perfect lighting... and a rainbow even appeared while we were there! It was magical. Finally, with darkness upon us, we stopped in Lacock (pronounced lay-kok) where we dined in a cozy 14th century pub. Nicholas had taken our orders at the start of the tour and called them in ahead of time so everything was ready when we arrived. The burger was simple, but the crispy fish of the fish and chips meal was delightful. We also ordered ciders and were glad we did. It was the most delicious cider I've had! After dinner, even though it was dark, raining, and we were running short of time, Nicholas offered to take us on a quick tour of filming spots, because Lacock was a filming location for multiple movies & series including Downton Abbey, Braveheart, Pride & Prejudice, and most notably Harry Potter. All along the way Nicholas shared stories, trivia, history, humor, and tips. He was engaging with every member of the tour group and was helpful not only jumping in to take pictures for people but also letting us know the best places for photos at each stop. And Nils was an amazing driver!! He thread the bus through narrow streets like a needle in the expert hands of a seamstress! Thanks to his expert driving, we arrived slightly early at two locations, giving us a little more time at each place, and even though we ran a little long at the end he was able to make up time on the ride back so we got back on time. We highly recommend this excursion! TIPS: - there were no outlets on the bus so you can't recharge your phone unless you bring a portable charger with you. I had planned to browse the internet on our bus trip, but with no outlets I ended up turning my phone off between stops to conserve the battery for the whole 10 hours. - bring cash to tip the guide and driver. There are no means to tip electronically.
Once in a lifetime experience!

Unforgettable experience to be able to walk amongst the stones and see them up close. Carole and Jermaine were great guides and shared a lot of great tips for London and beyond!
Amazing unforgettable experience - a must see!

The Roman Baths are so beautiful. It’s worth to book the entrance ticket with the trip. It was a positively overwhelming experience to stand in the middle of Stonehenge 💫 It is a prehistoric megalithic structure on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England and was built around 3100 BC. I cannot express the emotions I felt standing in the inner circle of these mysterious gigantic stones! Who built them - humans, aliens? 👽👾 There are many interesting theories out there. I felt a strange sort of vibration in my body - almost like a shaking - and my heart was beating very quickly. There is definitely a strong energy there - really #magical. 🔆 I still get #goosebumps looking at the photos and videos I made there. This was my first and definitely not the last time that I visit this glorious structure. I recommend everyone to see it, while it’s still accessible to enter the inner circle of the stones ❤️ Book the special inner circle tour, otherwise you see it with a rope blocking you off behind 100 meters and don’t get to go inside - very important to get the completely magical experience! 🙏🏼
Memorable

Waking in the inner circle with my whole family so something we will never forget. Thank you carol our guide was wonderful.
Take me to the Stones on Time.
Erin_R, Mar 2024
It was awesome getting close up to the stones. It felt surreal being close enough to see history literally etched in the stone. This trip is worth it even if you don't like getting up at 0400 to get to the pick up point on time. You will not regret it. Carol the tour guide and Jermaine the coach driver were lovely. Even though there was roughly 49 people on the tour, at the stops you still receive plenty of free time and independence it did not feel crowded.
Wow.

If you get this opportunity... DO IT. Absolutely magical experience. I would do it again. And again!
