What To Expect

Following pickup from central London, travel out of the English capital and through the countryside along an ancient road that was used by the Romans some 2,000 years ago. Pass ancient burial chambers and a 4,000-year-old pyramid on Silbury Hill, as well as traditional pubs, historical monuments, and the eye-catching White Horse hill carvings.

First, head to the Stone Age structure of Stonehenge and listen to commentary about the 5,000-year-old monolith.

Continue on to Bath and explore its squares, terraces, and crescents. Visit, too, the famous Roman Baths and learn how in the 18th-century Georgian Era, the wealthy, upper-class arrived from London to take advantage of its supposedly healing waters.

Then, enjoy free time for lunch (own expense) before traveling onward to Lacock for a taste of old-world England. Seemingly untouched by modern developments, this charming village has been featured in Cranford, 'Pride and Prejudice,' several of the Harry Potter movies and other films and television series. Follow your guide on a sightseeing tour, and then return to your vehicle for a drive through the Cotswolds hills to Avebury. See a village of thatched cottages in the middle of a huge stone circle before returning to central London.

Our tour guide Tony was amazing. He was informative, funny, accommodating and concerned that everyone got the most out of the experience. He clearly loves his job and his country as it showed throughout our day. When we go back to England, we will definitely request his services again!

Great tour for bucket list items
Stephanie_M, Apr 2024
I only had a two days in London and wanted to check off a few bucket list items. This was a great tour to do just that and spend the day seeing England. Tony was an excellent tour guide and held engaging conversation throughout the day with our small group. It was a welcome change from the large bus tours and we were never rushed through any of the sites - we were the first ones at Stonehenge and everyone got excellent pictures that morning. Having the tickets taken care of for Stonehenge and Bath made the day super easy as well. Highly recommend; thanks Tony!
From Stones to Sheep

Our driver, Vugar, kept on the scenic back roads as much as he could. He really knew his route. Despite the weather, I felt very safe. Our guide, Valentina, was very attentive to everyone. She also knew her history. But, I have to say she was INTREPID as she led us through a sheep pasture in the rain to show us the stones at Avebury. A great trip! Thank you Vugar and Valentina!
Fast paced day tour

Catherine was a great guide. We loved her insights into the countryside and the places we were seeing. It was good to get to the stones early with less people. We had about 2 hours in Bath which is enough for a quick tour of the roman baths plus lunch. Lacock is a really pretty village and we had a very quick look at the Avebury stones. The tour isn't a guided walking tour. This tour is a lot to put into a day trip but it was really good to see them if you're short of time.
Great day trip

Amazing tour and great tour guide! The trip was amazing and she made it that much better. Would highly recommend it.
Good day out, see a lot in a short time but didn't feel rushed. Guide was entertaining

Lacock was beautiful and interesting but it was the last place on our day out and my old legs along with the heat of the day couldn't do as much as I would have liked. Good day out though and well worth it.

The guide and driver were great and the vehicle was very comfortable. The sights were amazing. A lot packed into a day

Tony as our guide made a VERY COLD and SNOWY (miserable day) bright and worthwhile. Tony was so informative and created a personal experience we'll never forget.

Tony was a great tour guide. Knowledgeable and funny. We had a great time seeing the sites and meeting other travelers in this small group. Great tour! Highly recommend.
Excellent tour!

Tony was an outstanding guide! We had a blast and learned so much about the area that we never would have learned on our own. We are so grateful for this experience and hope to do another tour with him again.
Magical Stonehenge and more!

What a lovely day! The clouds parted as we arrived first thing at Stonehenge- beating the crowds. And the guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of the sites. I personally appreciated his pop culture knowledge- surprising me with the filming location of modiste from Bridgerton. I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at one of the cute pink bistro tables- sipping my rose and listening to live music from the nearby square in Bath. I also appreciated that both the guide and driver cared about making the day the best possible for us- and always kept track of everyone - providing regular bathroom stops and even helping to hail a couple of cabs at the end! Andrew is a gem- and the tour organized and professional. This is a perfect tour for a nice relaxing day.
Packed day but well worth it!

Great full day in the country
Darryl_M, Apr 2022
Bath was amazing, seeing the Roman baths was truly a treat. The true treasures were Lacock and Avebury. Really neat to see the old towns and all their amazing history. Would have liked enough time to have a pint in the pub in Lacock, but it was great nonetheless. Tony had an immense amount of knowledge on the history, the buildings, birds, etc. Great guide/host.
Lovely Day
Floatyfish, Nov 2019
This was a lovely day trip during our trip to the UK. Both our guide and our driver were incredibly friendly and helpful and brought across a great love of the area. Like most tours, we always wish that we had more time at each stop, but it's a lot to pack in to one day! We loved our time in Bath and Stonehenge, but a highlight of the tour was the henge at Avesbury. This was an amazing stop and being able to walk right up to the stones was incredible.
Great Trip
Sheila_K, Jun 2019
This was a great trip. I loved the fact that there were only 16 people, so smaller and more personal. Our drive and guide Jose was exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable of everything about the trip. The only thing that wasn't satisfactory was the length of time we had at Lacock. This is one place I really wanted to see and we only had 30 minutes. I think some time could be shaved off Glasgow and added to Lacock to better round out the trip. But overall I was very pleased and would recommend it to my friends.
Ben was knowledgeable and friendly
Heidi_R, Jul 2018
The best parts of the tour were Ben's anecdotal stories along the way about the monarchy and the history of Great Britain that didn't necessarily have directly to do with the tour itself. They added a lot. My only wish is that we would have been able to spend a bit more time at each place - so fascinating and beautiful!
Small group day trip to Stonehenge, Bath & Lacock
Courtney B, Jun 2018
Definitely recommend doing the small group day trip, rather than in a large tour van. We had 12 in our group. The highlight of the trip was Stonehenge - glad we started the day with that stop. Lacock also was a nice stop. Only issue that kept it from being 5 stars was how over-crowded the Roman baths in Bath were. Recommend visiting Bath in a less busy season.

Tony, our driver and guide was a lot of fun. He kept us on schedule, and added a LOT of information of what we were seeing along the way! We had a bit of confusion about exactly where to meet the group but we kept asking till we got it sorted out.

This trip fits a lot into a short period of time. Each segment was worth it though. Fun to spend a bit of time in the tiny village of Lacock, the presentation of the Roman Baths was extremely well done and interesting, and Stonehenge was amazing to see. I'd recommend this tour.
