Overview

The Hana Highway is one of the country’s most beautiful driving routes—and this full-day, small-group tour makes it simple to wend your way down the road, as well as visit other highlights of the region. Following morning pickup at your Maui hotel, travel in an air-conditioned vehicle and stop for a local breakfast. Then, continue on your way. You’ll drive the Hana Highway, to discover Wai'anapanapa State Park’s black-sand beach, Pua'a Ka'a for a waterfall swim, and a picnic lunch at a local flower farm.

Your hotel pickup will be between 15min and 1 hour prior to the "Tour Departure Time". Please contact our office for instructions to meet at one of our pickup points if you are staying in a private residence, in Upcountry Maui or at North Shore locations.

Road to Hana Trip….Awesome!

The excursion on the Road to Hana is a must do! Request Travis as your driver, he’s a local guy who lived in Hana, knows its history and is well versed in the history of Hawaii and its culture; plus he’s fun to be with. He knows how to bring a group of strangers together, on a bus tour and they become “Ohana!” The road has 54 one lane bridges and too many hairpin curbs to count. Be sure to look for waterfalls big and small and the black “diamond head snake.” Be sure to stop at Aunt Sandy’s Banana Bread, buy some it’s fresh and wonderful and very tasty. Enjoyed the black sand beach and swimming in the fresh water, waterfall. Our day is a trip to remember and Travis completed it with a peek at beached sea turtles and a winding down music selection of Somewhere Over the Rainbow 🌈.

I booked my older in laws on this trip!! They loved it. They were picked up right at the hotel. The would not stop talking about their day. The staff was great. Plenty of stops to stretch and go to bathroom. Had items in van for them to drink. Loved the tour guide

The entire tour, and our guide Yvonne, were phenomenal from pick-up at the resort to our drop off. I was the only member of my group of friends who chose to take this tour and boy, are they sorry now! Yvonne started by helping our tour group of 9 get acquainted on the way to breakfast which made for a delightful opportunity to make new friends and share photo ops etc. Her knowledge of the area and culture just flowed from her naturally cheerful and enthusiastic spirit. The views were magnificent. The food, delicious. Impromptu stops at a fruit stand or to see other sights made our tour unique and extra special. Yes, it was a long day, but I wouldn't trade a second of it....and if I'm blessed enough to get to make the trip again I'll bet my friends will be joining me! Yvonne, your special extra touches make you stand out as a superior guide and person. Thanks a million!

Loved the black sand beach and lava tube. Enjoyed the sea turtles. Our driver, Joe, was safe on the windy Hana roads, friendly, and knowledgable. Bus with 12 passengers was comfortable, and continental breakfast in beautiful setting was delicious as was our picnic lunch. Great communication re tour timing from Valley Isle

The bus driver did an amazing job of navigating the winding roads and narrating the trip! All of the food was amazing and the stops along the way were beautiful with some fun shopping. Our most favorite stop was the black beach! It was beautiful and unlike anything else that we have ever seen. We also loved the waterfalls along the way!

My wife and I had a wonderful time on this excursion! Our driver was Travis, who grew up in Hana and was able to share a lot of interesting stories about life on this island. He kept everyone entertained and provided a smooth ride. The bus was super comfortable and had large windows for great views along the scenic drive. You DO NOT want to drive this yourself.
