Our cooking experience with Eduardo was memorable . Starting from the visit to the mercado, to the prep and cooking. His instructions were very precise. The food was delicious. He is very knowledgeable and it showed. Overall a fun experience.

Jose was a personable and knowledgeable host. He explained ingredients as we shopped at the market and then had us all working to prep them for our dishes. We all learned some new techniques and the food and drinks were all delicious. It was a super fun way to spend part of an evening.

Fun but expensive activity

Nice place. Looks like a museum. Market visit was quick and short. No actual shopping, but we tasted some Mexican snacks. The cooking part was fund. Each person was responsible to prepare part of the menu. Drinking the cocktails we made in between the course was fund. The instructor, Ile, had a good control over the course and involved us all. However, i believe, the course is too overpriced, considering the short time, our partial involvement in cooking the cihse. :

Delicious and Creative Culinary Adventure in Mexico City

We loved cooking with Jose. The food and drinks we created were delicious. Loved starting off at the market and buying fresh authentic ingredients. Everyone in our group of 8 participated wholeheartedly under our wonderful chef’s guidance. A big part of this experience was also getting to know other travelers and sharing Mexico City experiences. Very highly recommended!

OK experience but not for the price

Pros: - Takes place in an interesting/unique apartment - did not get sick afterwards - learned how to make at least one interesting cocktail - kind and welcoming hosts Cons: - Overpriced. It does not feel like enough value is delivered for the cost. It needs to be even more hands on, curated, and actively guided. - instruction is not well organized or planned. At times it felt like we had nothing to do or could only stand and watch while someone else tended the stove or prepped. Would have liked to hear more about each dish, and would have enjoyed being challenged more readily. - did not receive recipes although the hosts promised to send them Summary: This could be a good experience if more time was put into preparation and scripting each segment of the class. Each participant should be involved in all steps of the recipe. We're there to have a good time and learn how to cook authentic Mexican dishes. Tightening it up and planning more thoroughly would really help. We sincerely liked our instructors and hope they will benefit from this feedback.

Authentic Cooking Class & Market Experience

A great cooking experience with Jose! Spend the extra dollars to get the cocktail pairing, you’ll get 3 drinks throughout your cooking/meal experience. We learned how to make four Mexican dishes, and making tortillas from scratch was very fun. Chef Jose also sent the recipes out. I would make sure to request that all vegetables are washed with vegetable disinfectant, not just tap water. We both ended up with some stomach issues the day after the class, though it might not be directly caused by this. But, better not to take the risk.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Chef José! From taking us to visit a local market and pick up our ingredients, to guiding us to make incredible soup, guacamole, tacos, enchiladas and cocktails, Chef José has been absolutely amazing and lovely. His instructions were so clear that even a newbie to kitchen like myself could easily follow and enjoy! This is no doubt one of the most unique experiences I have had in Mexico City. Will definitely make those dishes at home! 😆

Absolute must try when in Mexico City!

This has been the best tour I've taken in Mexico City! First, I accidentally signed up for the wrong time and they were so accommodating. They let me come at the dinner service and even gave the chef my number to connect with me. Then the real experience happened: shopping at the local market and cooking in a beautiful hacienda style home. Now, the chef Jose was the absolute best. Asked questions about spicy levels and cooking skills. Then the magic happened in the kitchen. There was such great synergy with the other couple and Jose explained everything. He was masterful. With 3 drinks, handmade tortillas, a soup, a small appetizer, and enchiladas, we were in love. This is a must when in Mexico City!

Absolutely would recommend this class! 10/10!

My family and I had a wonderful time at our cooking class with Eduardo! He was so fun and knowledgeable about food. Going to the mercado was a great touch because he explained everything we were going to use and why they are used certain way - even had us try things! I am not skilled in the kitchen, but this class is super great for beginners and so helpful. The food and cocktails were better than I could have imagined!

Eduardo was a fantastic host for this cooking class. He was so knowledgeable while we were going through the market and actually explained what we were looking for and why for all of the ingredients that we were picking. For the cooking portion he let us decide how involved we wanted to be in the process. My wife and I both learned new skills and were able to help create a great meal with some delicious drinks! Thanks Eduardo for making this part of our trip such a special experience!

This was the most memorable experience from my CDMX trip! Not only did I learn how to make certain dishes, I learned more about the Mexican culture, gained tips on picking out produce, and saw how a real kitchen operates. And, we had a blast while doing it. I HIGHLY recommend!

Fun being a Chef for Day!

This class was a fun one! The setting was out of a book in this kind of romanticized Spanish home in Juarez with this kitchen full of everything you'd need to feed all the are welcomed. We started out in the market right next door, really seeing and learning where our food/ingredients were coming from and then were off to be Chefs! Our main chef Eduardo was amazing and really knew his stuff and had the skills to show for it. He explained every step of the way and we made the most amazing tortillas from scratch I've ever tasted, and some amazing salsa, and fun cocktails! The final meal and presentation was amazing and I highly recommend!
