Silvia was amazing! She took us to wonderful little hole in the wall places, while also telling us about the history of Mexico City and answering all our questions. She was also fantastic about accommodating one vegetarian and one omnivore. We would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Mexico City.

Waste of money and time. Don’t do it.

Our “food tour” started with peanuts, then it got even worse as the tour continued. We went to cheap places to eat tacos all night. Complete waste of money, and time.

Luz was a great tour guide. As a local to the area, she knew the best places to take us, and even gave us recommendations for places to shop and dine later. We stopped at several local vendors around the Centro Historico, giving us a glimpse of local life. Luz was very accommodating and enjoyed answering questions about her city. The tour was a lot of walking, so bring comfortable shoes!

Don't waste your money for 3 variations of a taco and some pastry. Apparently provider counts beverage served at the 5 stops as 5 of the tastings.

Luz was the absolute best tour guide! She was bilingual, friendly and informative and all of the foods on the tour were absolutely delicious. It was a great way to walk and explore the city, I think it is great to do early in your trip so you can go back to places if you want.

No refunds, no flexibility

Difficulty getting vouchers. Never did the tour. We were caught in traffic due to an accident. We kept texting the LOCAL SUPPORT TEAM. No response. We tried to call but couldnt get through. We arrived 40 min. late and of course no one was waiting. We were still charged the full amount. I even requested a credit or 1/2 a refund to no avail. No flexibilty. If I am going to be charged the full amount the guide should have to wait the entire time. This is the note I sent, along with the copy of the texts sent to the local support team that is no help what so ever. First of all, we had continual difficulty in downloading the tickets in the USA as well as Mexico. We kept receiving error messages. We had to contact the Viator number on the first night of our arrival, lovely way to start a vacation. We were on the phone for approximately 30 minutes. Secondly,I had no contact information other then the email that I had reached out to while trying to contact the tour guide. Being the “Local support Team” I would have thought that you’d be able to assist me as well as your tour guide, Luz. The cab ride was to take 40 minutes but due to an accident it was 1:30. That’s why I reached out to the LOCAL SUPPORT TEAM multiple times. We would have been happy to have had a shorter tour as I had mentioned in my multiple texts to the Local SUPPORT TEAM. No one answered until the next day. We never heard from Luz until we got back to the hotel and my “What’s app” showed a message from her at 301pm and again at 330pm. She had not contacted me previously , until the designated time of the tour. I didn’t have wifi in the taxi. I would like to receive a credit to my credit card or a voucher for a future tour on Viator for the amount of the tour $192.70. To pay for something that was out of our control and we had no one helping us is unjustified. This is there response: Thank you for your patience. We regret to hear about the circumstances surrounding your refund request. Viator strives to make every attempt to address our customers' concerns. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer a refund. The supplier provided the guide number in case of an emergency. Took this tour on our first day in Mexico City. It was a good introduction to walking the area and where to find various interesting food/snacks. The guide took us to try several types of tacos, pastries and drinks.

Canceled the tour a couple hours before because there were "protests" in the area. The next day, we asked around and people said there were no protests. I imagine that this guide had only us on the tour and didn't want to give us the tour.

No show guide - complete disappointment for my family

Guide never showed up. We were at the meeting point at the scheduled time and gave up after waiting for almost 45 minutes. We tried to call the number provided on the confirmation receipt, the tour operator and chat with viator and no one ever answered or bothered to get back to me. We had to take Ubers to get to and from the meeting point and wasted money for nothing. A total disappointment for me and my family and ruined the evening for us.

We had a great 3 hours with Luz, sampling 10 different foods and drinks around the historic district. We tried things that were new to us, were authentic to the area and represented the best spots to get each item. We were happily very full afterwards. Our tour was 5-8pm and we definitely didn't need to eat anything else for the evening.

My husband and I had a great private tour with Daniel. He was very interesting to talk to about Mexico City and his opinion about the people and life there. We went to about 5 restaurants for tacos and then ended at a chorizo place. The title says 10 tastings but we were so full after 5 tacos, a couple of drinks and a dessert. The city was very crowded due to a free concert being held but he was flexible and found great places that didn't have lines. He was generous with his time and the tour went much longer than he had to. He knew the restaurants really well and was fun!
