This was the perfect tour. So fun and relaxed. Our guide Naomi was awesome. She knew all about the food ingredients, food history, art and architecture of the neighbourhood. We loved the diversity of the food and drinks, and got hot tips on other places to try when exploring on our own. Everyone in the group became fast friends. I cant wait to come back to mexico city and do this again!

Extremely productive four hours. A must

The variety of food, this is not a taco tour which I was pleased. The knowledge of the tour guide on not only food but the history of the Roma Norte area
A great way to spend the afternoon and learn about the area

What a great tour! Joseph took us to 6 different restaurants, and each one was chosen because it was a representation of foods in Mexico City. We really enjoyed the tacos at Tres Galeones, the family restaurant at Cafe de Rais, and the creative vegan tacos at LaPitahaya Vegana. We were so impressed with the food at Broke Bistrot. What a beautiful setting, too. The research into the authentic cuisine presented by Mux was appreciated. We finished the walk with a stop at Cafe Barajas. Joseph was so knowledgeable about all the restaurants and the foods. Thanks!!
The best food tour ever!

Stephanie and Camila were absolutely amazing. My husband and I really enjoyed all of the places we went. Both Stephanie and Camila were so knowledgeable about the history of Mexico and all of the hidden gems. Highly reccomend. Do not pass this up! You will not regret! They also gave us tips on where to go for the rest of the trip. Truly the best food tour!
Fantastic Guide

Excellent tour though it was our guide, Alma, that really made it so. Alma is more than just a tour guide, she is deeply immersed in the local food culture and can speak to much of the history and current trends food wise in Roma and the Mexico City in general (in perfect English too by the way). There was no question she couldn't answer. At the end she shared with me her google map of all her favorite eating and drinking spots in Mexico City. All of the stops were very interesting and we probably would never have found or appreciated them on our own. That said, and with apologies to Alma or any other guides, even after completing this tour my impression is that Mexican cuisine is generally not as interesting or varied as cuisines from other parts of the world (France, Italy, Asia, etc...). Seems it doesn't often stray from the basic components of corn tortillas, beans and mole sauces. Regardless, if you want to be sure you've gotten a thorough understanding and appreciation of the food in Mexico City this tour will more than provide it.
Great food tour in Roma Norte

A rich experience!

Enya was a great host who walked us through Roma and through the stories of all the food we ate. There are great stops on this tour — I enjoyed the investment in truly local business owners, the focus on various regional foods and the care to involve indigenous food by indigenous restaurant owners. It's a lot of food, so show up hungry and leave very full! Thank you for a great time!

Absolutely incredible tour with a brilliant tour guide Stephanie who also knew a lot about the local area of Roma and the architecture. This is a worthwhile activity to see a different side of Mexico and eat delicious food

My husband and I had a wonderful experience on this food tour. It was our first full day in Roma Norte and we wanted to get a lay of the land while tasting yummy food. All boxes checked! I was astounded by how knowledgeable our guide, Joseph, was not only about all the delicious food we ate, but the architecture surrounding us and the history of so many places. It was beyond worth the money and we met so many cool people as well. I would highly recommend this tour.

Sabores México Food Tours: Don't Get Sick and Can't Come
Jan_L, Mar 2024
Sabores México Food Tours, operator of this tour, refused to refund our tour cost. We did the Polanco tour with them Wed, my wife came down with a verybad case of flu, so we could not do this tour on Fri....or the rescheduled Sat tour. While not refunding is correct as to the policy, I explained that we are long time Viator customers, have done tours all over the world, and never cancelled or missed a tour previously. I am a long time university professor and often have to break my rules because of individual student circumstances. I play fair. It's just common sense. I guess Viator will have to start selling cancellation insurance with bookings! For sure this has nothing to do with the $200 per se...but as with my students...things just happen sometimes. A little common sense and understanding can go a long way. In closing, we loved the Polanco tour and I am confident this tour would have been excellent as well. Good company that needs a little help on how to handle legitimate unforeseen situations.
Totally worth it

We had an amazing food tour of the Roma neighborhoods. The food was almost as great as our guide Joseph—both were excellent! I highly recommend all the restaurants we stopped at. We are pescatarians and found the food to be delicious, diverse, and very flavorful. We were beyond impressed with the value of received.
I would recommend this food tour for everyone ❣️❣️❣️
