This was such an awesome tour and a highlight of my trip! I ended up being the only person on this tour and was worried it might be awkward but it wasn’t at all! My guide, Marco, was super friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about all things food, history, and Milan. Everything was delicious and I left the tour stuffed! Marco also gave me some extra recommendations for restaurants to visit on my own time that were also fantastic. Cannot recommend it enough!

Marco was an amazing tour guide who provided you with knowledge of Milan and the food we tried. I was able to try foods I wouldn’t have normally ate. I would recommend letting Marco choose your ice cream choices for you, as this didn’t disappoint. Marco was also helpful in providing other recommendations for the area, which we have visited and thoroughly enjoyed.

We had a wonderful time on this food tour. Our food guide was very patient with us. There was a lot of traffic and we misguided getting there was kind of a dark and rainy night and she patiently waited for us. She’s very familiar with the area and the food sweet to savory, and even showed us a couple bonus places that were very, very beautiful churches. Would highly recommend this tour !

Marco’s Tour is the Best We've Ever Experienced!

Marco was AMAZING!!! This is such a great tour. So many unique stops and things to experience. These are places you’d never find or stop at on your own. His local knowledge made this an incredible tour. We learned so much about the food, local customs, history, and the stories behind the eateries. The small group made it an intimate/private tour. The people at each stop were delightful. It’s clear they truly appreciated Marco and they treated us as honored guests. How this could have anything other than a 5-star rating is beyond me.

First of all Irena is a lovely, knowledgable person, she was wonderful....however the food and drink on this tour was lame. We started with a vinegar tasting, which was good and quite interesting! Things started to go downhill from there. We had some focaccia bread and some water. Next we sat out on a cold bench for about 15 minutes waiting for a sandwich. The sandwich was good, but… We were freezing. After that, we stopped for some meat and cheese and finally some wine… One glass each. Next, we made two dessert stops, one for cannoli and another for gelato. I would suggest a little more wine or other alcoholic drinks… We are on vacation after all. I've been on many other food tours in other cities, and I have paid just as much money for much higher quality, food and drink. also, this tour states that they will pick you up at your hotel… This is not true.

Marco was an amazing guide. He demonstrated great passion and knowledge in Italian food and culture. The variety of food was wonderful and it was great to visit traditional Italian venues. We couldn't praise Marco as a guide ant higher he was excellent.

Wonderful tasting tour with Marco. He is so enthusiastic and we went to places where he personally knows the chefs and owners. Products used from family farms. I thought I knew all there was to know about balsamic vinegar…now I do. I highly recommend and Marco should be your guide.

The guide was awesome. The focaccia vs pizza education was great for the rest of our trip across Italy. Loved all of the food. Went back to some of the places and ordered and shipped home. Meeting place was convenient. Guide sent picture of himself at the meeting location. Was very helpful confirming exact location as well as who we were looking for.

We greatly enjoyed our tour with Simon. He grew up in Milan and knows the backstreets and where to find the best food. The shop owners know him. There was a great variety of foods, including sandwiches, wine, cannoli, wine, and gelato with enough variety to make it interesting but also very filling. Simon was personable and shared the history of the city in the area in a way that made us understand better. We went to places we would’ve never gone on our own and away large tourist areas. Highly recommended.

Great Introduction to Milan

This was a really great way to introduce us to Milan. Our guide Irene was superb and a font of local knowledge. Her recommendations of other non gastronomic places to visit was also very helpful. Plenty of food and the Balsamic Vinegar tasting was different and very interesting. Whist walking to the various eating establishments it provided a great way to see some parts of Milan we may not have visited otherwise.

Marco was a great tour guide sharing his knowledge of Italy, Milan, history, geography and, of course, Italian food. I would highly recommend this food tour and would love to have Marco as a tour guide the next time I’m in Milan.

Disappointing….

Whilst our tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable, I don’t think this tour is value for money. I was a little disappointed with the food options. We stopped at 4 places to eat and of the 4, only 1 of the food stops was substantial and of interest. 1 of the stops was Gelato and being in Milan, we’re surrounding by gelato so I don’t think this should included as it’s not ‘different’. I left this tour feeling rather underwhelmed.

Expensive for what we paid. One bottle of wine shared by 5 throughout the entire 3 hour tour. I have attends 3 other tours in different cities and learn about what makes the city unique and had better food and wine included. Very disappointed that we appeared to be in two fast food chains rather than boutique eateries.
