What To Expect

Depart from central Milan and journey toward the Italian Alps by coach. After a relaxing drive, arrive in Lake Como for your cruise.

Marvel at the luxury real estate while you glide along the water, passing glamorous, celebrity-owned villas. Learn about some of the famous properties from your guide, and hear about the area’s history. Return to land to purchase lunch and discover the picturesque town of Bellagio on your own.

Afterward, reunite with your driver and continue over the Swiss border to the Italian-speaking town of Lugano. Soak up additional time here to explore independently, browsing the local shops for Swiss chocolate, fine luxury goods, and clothes, or checking out the scene by the lake. For a little art and culture, admire Bernardino Luini’s Renaissance masterpiece, 'Passion and Crucifixion,' with a visit to the Chiesa di Santa Maria degli Angioli.

After a full day of sightseeing, return to Milan with your guide in the late afternoon.

Our tour guide Allesio was excellent. He was friendly, professional, full of information, funny and all around a great guide. We saw some beautiful things. I've got a great feel for Lake Como and Lake Lugano. And the weather held up so we were happy. It's a long day, but I highly recommend it.

Great day 👏🏻 Enjoyed all of the places that were part of the trip. Amazing views of the lake Como, nice boat 🛥️ ride and the views of the mountains and all of the villages and villas. The town of Bellagio was beautiful and food was very good and pleasant. The town of Logon across the border in Switzerland 🇨🇭 was amazing as well. Strongly suggest taking this tour. 🙌

Extremely enjoyable, well planned day Easy meeting point, photograph of exact location was a good touch. Staff met on arrival and provided radios were very friendly. We had a full sized coach which looked virtually brand new, and must have been at less than 50% capacity. Hour or so drive to the lake Como area, which was beautiful. Private boat to ourselves, again well under 50% capacity and the highlight of the day for me. Couple of hours in Bellagio which was probably about right, time to eat, shop or a little of both. Advised deliberately do this visit first as gets much busier later in the day, and you could tell. Back on boat to bus, again nice drive over the border to Switzerland and just over an hour about right to have a wander and buy some Swiss chocolate of course. Drive on highway back to meeting point to end a great day. Special thanks to Mara our guide who was brilliant all day, very friendly and very knowledgeable. Well worth what I paid for the tour, would have been impossible to do yourself. Thank you.

I loved this tour. It was amazing. Although we went in April it was a beautiful day but windy. Our tour guide was amazing with great humor. She was very helpful and spoke English very well. She even took us to a beautiful spot to eat lunch in lake como. Absolutely breathtaking views and experience was 10/10

My family and I had the most horrible experience with this tour. We were left alone at the Garibaldy train Station. The tour guide left before 8am. He current even wait for 8am. I was on the phone talking to a Viator representative and was no help at all. We are so disappointed.

Poor tour guide=waste of day

We booked several different tours while we were on vacation in Germany & Italy. This tour was by far the worse experience. The tour guide was awful. She didn’t provide any useful information. She’d start talking about something, stop herself and then ramble about something with no relevance. So difficult to even understand her. Made for an extremely long day and disappointment. While Lake Como was pretty and scenic areas, all of us felt disappointed with the entire day.

The landscape is beautiful. Como and Bellagio are best. There is not much to see in Lugano.things are very expensive in Lugano on Switzerland side. Better eat in Bellagio.

A fantastic trip to Lake Como and Lugano!

Met with Mara the tour guide at the Porta Garibaldi Station and traveled also with Antonio the bus driver. Mara shared lots of details about our trip's different locations, starting with the first blocks in Milan in our way to Lake Como, to the facts about Lake Como, some of the towns and villas and then about Lugano. The first stop was Bellagio, which is a small beautiful town where you can get fantastic pictures of the lake and the Alps. Had a really nice time enjoying the place and having a lunch (expect the prices a little bit high in Bellagio). Bellagio is special as well because you can buy silk-made clothing and fabrics and are simply beautiful. Then, we headed to Lugano, a small town in Switzerland. Here you can buy swiss chocolate (simply the best) but also expect the prices too high (since we are in Switzerland). Nevertheless, it is worth buying a little chocolate. The are other many clothing stores and restaurants in case you want to have a coffee break or buy some expensive stuff such as a Rolex :) Enjoy the views, these lakes and towns are located in such a beautiful region, surrounded by mountains and with Mara's knowledge you will be able to also learn more about what you are seeing around and have a wonderful day all around. By the way, it is a great idea bringing a good camera or a really good phone, you do not want to miss anything! and some things are very far away too (like the Alps), in other words, bring any kind of camera that can zoom in lots :) Save those memories with quality!
