What To Expect

Begin your day in Piazza Luigi Cadorna, where you’ll join up with your guide and small group. Come prepared with comfortable walking shoes and clothing that covers the shoulders and knees, as a dress code is enforced at many of the churches.

Take off into the city, learning about the famous Duomo di Milano as you go. The Gothic cathedral is the largest church in the country and the fifth largest in the world, taking nearly six centuries to complete. Crowds collect early at this showstopper, but you’ll bypass the lines entirely with your direct-access ticket.

Afterward, pay homage to one of the world's largest shopping malls as you pass the 19th-century Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Then skip the line inside the Chiesa di San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore before heading toward other top attractions, including Arco della Pace, Sempione Park and the 15th-century Castello Sforzesco. See artwork from the controversial Maurizio Cattelan and Bramante’s optical illusion inside the Church of Santa Maria presso San Satiro.

After pausing to purchase lunch, head to the UNESCO-listed Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Grazie, home to da Vinci's The Last Supper. Bypass the crowds with your skip-the-line ticket, get an up-close look at the iconic mural, and learn about its restoration.

Last supper was stunning would have enjoyed more time in Duomo
Robert_N, May 2024
The guide Samantha was very nice and the part of the tour to the Last Supper was excellent however the rest of the tour was like a route March no real time to look around in the church or Duomo in fact we spent much longer stood outside waiting while she collected our tickets to what we actually did inside , we only saw a third of the cathedral if that with no free time to browse not even 10 mins which would have been acceptable. We seemed like we were wandering round filling in time … Boring really. However the Duomo and cathedral and painting were beautiful and the tour didn’t spoil our time in Milan .
Outstanding tour!
Ron_K, May 2024
The history and background of the city that our guide was able to provide were wonderful. Clearly the viewing of the Last Supper and the visit to the Duomo were opportunities not to be missed. Traveling through the city while learning about historic businesses and Milanese food was a joy!
Best way to see highlights of Milan
Phyllis_L, May 2024
Visited the must see places in Milan without waiting in line. Lots of walking but worth it. Our guide was the best.
Great tour
Kumar_K, May 2024
Had a six hour tour with Chiara she was incredibly sweet and made the 6 hours fly by with jokes and great knowledge of the places we visited. You get a good snapshot of Milan with this tour definitely worth the price!
Kiera was the best tour guide ever
catanzaj, May 2024
Kiera was so entertaining that I would book her again for any tour. Would love to host her in the USA if she ever wants to come for vacation. She was not only extremely knowledgeable about all the sights but entertaining as well. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge of your beautiful city. The best city in Italy.
Fun and fantastic
dianeemayer, May 2024
Chiara made the experience so enjoyable; she included so many stories related specifically to people in our group, all delivered with the best sense of humor. Ask for her! The Last Supper did not disappoint.
Excellent Best of Milan Tour.
Ellie_K, May 2024
This tour was excellent! Ciara was a great guide who was extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining. She took the time to learn something about each participant which felt inclusive and welcoming. Great information, great pace and wonderful guide! I highly recommend this tour and Ciara as a guide.
The Duomo, the Last Supper, and so much more!
Mark_T, May 2024
Martina was a great story-teller and entertaining historian. She narrated the entire span of our walk to the main sites, not just the Duomo and Last Supper. This really enriched the experience and gave us a more holistic perspective on the older parts of Milan. She pointed out things in the Duomo we never would have known about. Her expertise and enthusiasm were well worth the time and money.
Great tour even in the rain.
Debra_A, May 2024
It was a very rainy day in May, but our tour guide Kiara made the best of it. She was amazing!! Very knowledgeable both on history and Art! She was full of fun facts and interesting stories. My only regret is that I didn’t spend my time wisely in the duomo. But that’s on me. This tour was everything I wanted and more!
Must do in Milano
Arun_G, May 2024
Throughly enjoyed the day. The tour guide [so sorry I forgot her name] was fantastic. Great story teller and very accommodative. She knew so much. It was a day well spent. The highlights were of course the visits to the Duomo and the place that holds the painting of The Last Supper. The visits to Santa Maria delle Grazie and another church that was once a monastery for sisters were also extremely interesting. Definitely recommended. It's a day well spent.
Excellent tour guide, but organisation of the tour disappointing.
Susan_H, May 2024
The highlight was certainly seeing Da Vinci’s Last Supper. Our guide, Karina, was excellent. She was very calm throughout and paced the walking tour very well, bearing in mind the different levels fitness of all, and the relatively large group size. She told us a lot of really interesting local information. I was very disappointed to be contacted about 2 days before the tour to say that we wouldn’t be seeing the Last Supper until 5pm, despite the tour starting at 0915am, and having been intended to be a half day tour. I booked this tour because of wanting to see The Last Supper, so couldn’t cancel at this late stage, although I was (unhelpfully) given the option to cancel. Also the Duomo part of the tour didn’t include the rooftop. At the cost of the tour, I had assumed this would be included. I really enjoyed the tour, and got to see The Last Supper, but I do feel that these tours (never having done a Viator one before) are very much overpriced.
Response from Host, May 2024
Dear Susan, thank you for sharing your thoughts, as well specified this tour is a full day not a half day as you wrote, normally it ends around 3:30pm but this time we informed you as soon as possible that it would end at 5:00pm, and you agreed. Also, the Duomo terraces are not included and in fact are not mentioned anywhere in the description. So I don't understand what it has to do with writing that the organization was disappointing when we did everything without mistakes. Cordially Davide
Milan on Foot
Pamela_B, May 2024
This was a very informative and delightful walking tour of central Milan. Except for the Duomo being unexpectedly closed, it was a lovely tour. Carmine was a great guide, giving us lots of detail and historical reference. Note: be ready to walk for 5+ hours, but at a very reasonable pace.
Great experience if time is limited
BhavaniShankar_P, May 2024
A very knowledgeable and friendly guide Unfortunately could not complete the Duomo Part as the Basilica was closed.
The Best Tour In Italy
Vincent_R, May 2024
Christina our tour guide was fabulous. Informative and entertaining. The 6 hours went faster than we realised and we saw so much of the local and cultural sites in Milano. This was by far the best tour we did in Italy thanks in no small part to our guide.
Last Supper was Incredible
Dave_J, May 2024
Being able to see the Last Supper and get to experience the Duomo with a guide in the same tour was fantastic. Samantha was an exceptional guide who knew a lot about the area and was able to navigate our group with ease through the busy streets of Milan. The Last Supper experience was incredible. We were very happy to be able to see it in person. It made the tour.
Fantastic walking tour
Thomas_E, May 2024
Marta was a fantastic guide. She shared so much information about the history of Milan and the many landmarks we visited. The Duomo was stunning as was DiVinci’s Last Supper. We highly recommend this tour
Great!
Glandelyn_P, May 2024
The tour was very good and informative, the tour guide was very helpful and accomodating. This tour requires 6 hours of walking so really need stamina though. Just a bit of improvement is that, this can be less than 6 hours, some narratives can be skipped though. THe last supper part is really good and the duomo church is really awesome!
Milan is still Beautiful, even in the rain.
Peter_E, May 2024
It was a rainy day, and I wasn't really looking forward to a walking tour of the city. Our guide, Kira, was super funny and had a great personality. She looked after everyone on the tour and made the tour super enjoyable. We learned history and facts and crazy stories!!! Definitely, we recommend this tour and our great guide!!
Fin day in Milan with Chiara

Chiara was a fun and very informative guide. She was very proud of her city and got us all very excited about visiting Milano. I would recommend Chiara na this tour for a full day of great Milano knowledge.
Best of Milan was truly the best!
Stanley_S, May 2024
Our guide made the tour wonderful! She was very informative, entertaining, and knew the art and the area so well. She also went out of her way to address the needs of our group, such as food allergies and mobility. Great experience.
