What To Expect

Begin your day in Piazza Luigi Cadorna, where you’ll join up with your guide and small group. Come prepared with comfortable walking shoes and clothing that covers the shoulders and knees, as a dress code is enforced at many of the churches.

Take off into the city, learning about the famous Duomo di Milano as you go. The Gothic cathedral is the largest church in the country and the fifth largest in the world, taking nearly six centuries to complete. Crowds collect early at this showstopper, but you’ll bypass the lines entirely with your direct-access ticket.

Afterward, pay homage to one of the world's largest shopping malls as you pass the 19th-century Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Then skip the line inside the Chiesa di San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore before heading toward other top attractions, including Arco della Pace, Sempione Park and the 15th-century Castello Sforzesco. See artwork from the controversial Maurizio Cattelan and Bramante’s optical illusion inside the Church of Santa Maria presso San Satiro.

After pausing to purchase lunch, head to the UNESCO-listed Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Grazie, home to da Vinci's The Last Supper. Bypass the crowds with your skip-the-line ticket, get an up-close look at the iconic mural, and learn about its restoration.

Chiara was one of the top 3 tour guides we’ve ever had. She made our Milan experience an unforgettable one. Incredibly day! Seeing the Last Supper is enough on its own, but all of the time before, during and after in other locations were just as memorable. I cannot say enough positive things about this tour.

This walking tour was so much fun, and it covers a wide swath of Milanese history. Our guide, Chiara, was incredibly fun and knowledgeable about the city and its history, having been born there. Her passion for her native city came through constantly. Her sense of humor made the hours of walking around so much fun and interesting. Do not be concerned about the 6-hour length, as there is a good hour for lunch built into those six hours. If you have little time in Milan, this is the tour to take, and hopefully you have Chiara as your guide. We thank her for a wonderful learning journey through Milan.

This walking tour was really worth the time and money. Our guide who I think was Chiara was the most knowledgeable and entertaining guide I have ever had. She knows history and made a long day seem to go by quickly. The Last Supper was of course the main draw on this tour but we saw sights and areas we would not have gone to without a guide. I would not hesitate to book this if you want a complete overview in a day.

This guided walking tour was a great way to have an orientation and overview of Milan and see some of the best sights with a skilled guide. Carmine was fantastic, knowledgeable, approachable and clearly had a depth and understanding of Milan and art history. We explored several @must see” sights other than the Last Supper and Duomo including the Milan castle, a beautiful monestary with church and the equivalent of Central Park. Carmine informed us of details of each place (through wireless headphones) and happily answered inquires and questions from our group. Efficient, organized, and fun. We really feel it was clearly worth it and highly recommend. This coukd serve as a great overview of the city - allowing you to come back for more.
