The entire grounds of Oak Alley are magical. The Big House is spectacular. The gator ride was awesome and a great time.

History tour
Axer_D, Apr 2024
First comment is why aircon must run at full power ? Sitting inside during hours is reason to catch cold, at this time, temperature is not so high lîke hot summer! I was suffering from cold blowing Visit of plantation is interesting but not so much to see. Swamp tour guide is great … Organization about visitors to get to which bus among a few ones must be revised for back ride
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Thank you for your feedback. We do our best to keep our guests comfortable, so please let the driver know so that he can adjust accordingly. Sometimes he may not know that guests are too cold or too hot.

Tour guides were engaging and very knowledgeable! Lots of information was shared. The bus rides from the plantation to the swap tour was about 1.25 hours, which was longer than we thought it would be. Long day…

Good Boat, Good Tour
Sherri_S, Mar 2024
The tour was excellent, featuring friendly guides and comfortable transportation. The large boat used in the swamp boat tour significantly outshines the airboats employed by other companies.
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Thank you for the five-star review, Sherri!
Trip management was mess , transit from one car to another 3️⃣ times and no one tells you. Left the food in previous car
Amy_P, Mar 2024
The swap trip was confusing from one car to another without telling in advance, we left our stuff in previous car and lost them
Response from Host, Mar 2024
We are sorry about that inconvenience. We allot 30 minutes for pick-up and drop-off, so due to traffic or a busy day, we have other busses helping with pick-up in order to get everyone on time. Therefore, that's the reason why you had to be transferred from one bus to another.

A full day packed with great experiences
Jennifer_B, Mar 2024
Held a baby alligator. Learned about this animal and its habitat. Bus driver gave info as we drove about places we passed. Trees at Oak Alley were why I went and they did not disappoint. Great food at the restaurant. The attention given in the tour to slavery and the names of those enslaved there and their contributions was moving and so important.
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Thank you for the five-star review, Jennifer!

The oaks speak to you…
Melanie_O, Feb 2024
The Oak plantation is an incredible example of days gone by. We were able to visit several slave cabins. We were able to read about the life and times of the slaves. We roamed through the beautiful gardens and families cemetery. The oaks speak to you. The plantation house was just what you would imagine. The house tour was 30 minutes. The guide was very knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Thank you for the five-star review, Melanie!
Well worth the time and distance, offers history and nature all in one.
Elizabeth_F, Feb 2024
The guide at the plantation was very knowledgeable, and the plantation offered a glimpse of the slaves lives. I especially appreciated that all the original slaves names were listed in one of the cabins.
