  • Check-in is 45 minutes prior to the scheduled flight time. Failure to do so may result in extended wait times or forfeiture of flight.
  • A $40 (USD) heliport fee per person (including infants) is due at check-in.
  • Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 250lbs (113kgs) will be required to purchase an additional seat. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour. 300-lb (136kg) maximum weight per passenger.
  • All passengers including children must have a government-issued ID/Passport or you may be denied your flight.
  • All flight times are approximate and subject to change due to weather conditions and weight restrictions.Please note, that audio language selection is not guaranteed and is based on availability. Should more than 2 languages be requested on the same flight, the audio commentary may default to English. Due to the unpredictable nature of technical difficulties, we cannot provide assurance for the audio functionality of the headsets.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Nice experience with buetiful views of the city. Company is good, satisfied with the experience. Helicopter had big very clean windows. Lockers were FREE (crazy to pay for a locker if you just paid 40usd each to use the heliport).

Old helicopter and not a pleasant experience

Experience was ok. But I booked a flight for 6pm to see night city, because sun goes down 5:55pm. We arrived as explained in the ticket 45min in advance to prepare for the flight and were put into helicopter right away. When I asked the attendant why we are flying so early they told they can put me on flight whenever they want and refused to put me on the flight at 6m as it appears on the ticket. Helicopter itself was old and audio wasn’t working properly. It was as well really hot inside the helicopter.

Air Traffic Control may give us clearance to fly between your check-in time and booked time. This is the reason we never promote nor advertise "Sunset Tours". Thank you.

A very enjoyable experience and a great way to see all the sights in a short time. My only disappointment was that I had no commentary during the trip. I heard the pilot welcome us aboard and bid us farewell at the end but nothing at all in the middle. Having being asked not to speak to the pilot on the trip, I didn’t ask about commentary. My cousin who sat in front had hers perfectly well. Apart from this, the trip was fantastic but I had to guess what things were!

Bad deal - Great staff

The purchase of two tickets through Viator proved to be a disappointment, as the prices were found to be more reasonable when purchasing directly from the company. Despite having paid over $600, the tickets did not include additional perks such as photos or t-shirts. Furthermore, the tour itself was shorter than expected. It was noted that those who had paid for a 20-minute tour received the same time as those who had purchased a 15-minute tour for less. The experience was salvaged by the staff, who were professional and courteous, and who come highly recommended. It is advised, however, to make direct purchases from the company to avoid the unfavorable pricing offered through Viator.

See New York through a dirty lens

We had fantastic views of New York. But, unfortunately we had to see them through dirty windows. Headsets were provided to the 4 people in the cabin. But, unfortunately only one worked. 3 of us only heard static. Only one heard a commentary of what we saw.

Pictures and videos can be found on Internet, but the live experience is so much better. Yes, it is quite costly, but worth every penny. Some kind of air-conditioning would be a plus during hot summer days. From check-in through check-out friendly personnel.

I booked 6:30 flight....

Orienting yourself about Manhattan

Magnificent. Breathtaking. The fly around Mary Liberty brought tears to my eyes. Concorde, USS Intrepid, the George Washington Bridge beneath my feet. And all accompanied by a perfect sound track. The ideal way to see Manhattan.

The helicopter experience was incredible. However, you have to be careful with the directions given by some apps in certain phones. We strongly recommend to confirm the actual departure place to avoid confusions. We almost lose our ride but the lady in the phone (Yolanda) from the helicopter company was super helpful.
