Check-in is 30 minutes before your flight time. We are located at 6 East River Piers, New York, NY 10004. The heliport is a large gray cement building with a big clock on the front. Please let security know you are flying with Helicopter Flight Services and they will direct you to our staff.

What To Expect

Your flight over Manhattan begins at your preferred time; numerous departure slots are available throughout the day, so you can pick the one that fits your busy sightseeing schedule best.

Make your own way to the Downtown Manhattan Heliport, meet your pilot, and hop aboard. With a maximum of only four other passengers, this shared flight offers a much more affordable option than a private flight, while still providing a personalized experience.

Then, without delay, take to the skies. Enjoy a comfortable ride in the climate-controlled cabin, while floor-to-ceiling windows offer the best possible viewing experience. Fly over the Big Apple and see a perspective on the city that few others get to experience. As you soar over landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, and Brooklyn Bridge, learn more from your pilot’s on-board commentary.

Your flight will last between 12-15 minutes: enough time to see the best of the city. Alternatively, upgrade to the Ultimate Manhattan package for an extended 17-20-minute flight. Your experience ends after touching down at your original departure point.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

I booked the trip for my fiancées birthday as a surprise. It was very well organised and nothing to be nervous about at all. I would say it is definitely worth doing but it is quite expensive for the length of the experience. I’m 100% glad we did it but would class it as a once in a lifetime experience

Excellent way to see the whole city and get a real feel for the size of New York. Was fun and exciting and made our trip something we will never forget. Only complaint is I couldn’t really here the pilot when he was telling us what we were looking at but I would still recommend.

Overall, the helicopter ride was a positive experience, but I find it somewhat overpriced. My main concern is that instead of a comprehensive circular route around Manhattan, the flight followed the coastline twice, covering limited sights and providing only about 7 minutes of noteworthy views.

The City of New York has strict regulations on the Helicopter Tourism Industry that does not allow us to fly over any part of New York City. All of our tours fly above the Hudson River and New York Harbor. Our tours fly between 1500ft and 2000ft.
