Amazing Sail on Schooner at Sunset

The sailing experience at sunset on The Shearwater schooner was amazing! Staff was friendly, attentive and entertaining, and the jazz duo added so much to the experience. Views of Manhattan and the Statue Of Liberty from the water at dusk were magical. A great experience for first time visitors or long time residents of NYC

We had an absolutely amazing time. The service was exemplary. We were running late, and received a courtesy call to check on where we were. They held the boat for us for 10 mins and helped us get to the boat without further. Class company all the way around. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

We had missed the sunset sail because of miscommunication of timing. It could have turned into a nightmare but they called us personally and really worked with us. The team was gracious enough to reschedule us for the night sail same day although different location (they made sure to give us directions and kept direct communication). My friends and I enjoyed it a lot with great views. Easy check in while waiting on the line. Highly recommend this sail team. Tip…get there early so you can get on early for good seats.

Great experience nice crew and beautiful classic sailing vessel -was an awesome way to see the sunset and skyline in the evening snd great spot for hanging out on esplanade and restaurants afterwards

Fast exhilarating ride! Crew were friendly, chatty. Be sure to tip them they do this 3 times a day. I took the day off with a friend and went down to the city and finished it off with a sunset sail. Sit on starboard side for a great view of the lady if going on sunset sail, A perfect, lovely evening! Thanks

We loved sailing around the Statue of Liberty and seeing the Manhattan and Jersey City skylines particularly when they were lighted up at night. The crew was so friendly and we loved our sail!

Great experience! Sit on the starboard side, not the port side, for best views/photo ops! Sunset over Statue of Liberty on way out and then NYC skyline/lights on way in
We got stuck in traffic...

We got stuck in traffic and got there in time to see boat untie and start off. Called ahead to no answer. Boat looked too crowded for our comfort these days anyway. Seating looked inadequate.

Sorry you missed the boat Suzanne! We typically will try to reach out by text message or phone when guests have not arrived on time. Maybe our calls crossed in the ether. The boat is certified for up to 49 passengers but we limit our passenger count to 37 people. There is adequate seating aboard however looking from a distance can make things look smaller. Perhaps you will give us another chance and see for yourself.

I thought It was lovely and light hearted . The crew was polite. Things to work on - Finding the boat wasn’t specific enough- the dock as a U shape and the location to find the boat wasn’t close to where it said it was showing to be. The seating was awkward be prepared to sit on wood and not know where to go. Otherwise, the sailing was great .
