The boat departs from Chelsea Piers, on Pier 62, which is located at West 22nd Street and the Hudson River. We are at the northern end of the Chelsea Piers Complex on the water. Our ticket booth is located steps from the dock on Pier 62. Check in at the Classic Harbor Line ticket booth upon arrival.

The crew was wonderful and the trip was great! Perfect weather for sailing and such a great trip out and back to the Statue of Liberty! The crew took time to answer questions about the boat and it was fun to see them raise and lower the sails! Overall a great experience!

Despite a rainy morning the day broke open to perfect sunny conditions with enough breeze to fill the 4 sailed vessel. It was majestic! The crew was exceptionally personable without stealing from the dramatic skyline of the world famous city and its Lady, the Statue of Liberty!!!

False advertising

So here is my review of the sailing I booked. Sail time was for 2 hours. We were to set sail at 4 pm. We didn’t board until 4 pm and had to wait for others to board as it was a full sail. We got started around 4:15 and motored almost all the way to the statue. We did hoist the sails but it was as we were closer to the statue. We came about at the statue and pretty much motored back. We hardly sailed and we arrived back at 5:30. When asked why it said bc of the storm but there was no storm. So basically I paid a lot of money to motor for 1 hour and 15 mins. This was not what the description stated. The crew was nice. Wouldn’t go again! I paid for 5 people!

It was our second time taking this sailing tour. Its an amazing experience worth the money. The crew is friendly and keep everyone safe. Masks wearing is enforced and there's plenty of room on the boat to social distance between parties. They provide water and beer and you can purchase more if you like. I highly recommend this tour.

Less sailing than thought

The tour was nice and we were lucky with the weather but to my disappointment the crew used the motor a lot even though there was very good wind, i.e. we could have sailed a lot more - which would have been what we expected. However, the crew was very friendly, the drinks good and we enjoyed the food and snacks we bought before boarding the boat.
