The crew on this boat was awesome and very friendly. When they realized that some of us were chilly, they offered us blankets. I must say the blankets were a bit smelly but it did the trick of keeping us warm. Thanks

Sunset on a sailboat

Though it was a bit overcast, the cruise was just wonderful. The staff was friendly, and the addition of wine (purchased) and jazz playing as the sun went down, with NYC lights coming up, made it magical. It was my boyfriend's first time (my second), but so much more better this time around. :) A sunset cruise on a sailboat around NYC with wine and jazz, what's more romantic than that?

We had a wonderful time sailing with Clipper City! Very relaxing with jazz music playing, complementary snacks, and a bar. The limited number of people made it a more personable and intimate experience. The crew were very attentive and polite. The views of New York at night were spectacular!

BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT BOOK. Completely ridiculous. There is not seating for everyone. And they would not refund money. Have you line up With 127 people but there are no seats!!!!!

The vessel is certified for 149 passengers and we have comfortably accommodated that many passengers for the past 12 years. Seating is casual and people sit on our benches, hatch covers and many deck boxes. I am sorry you didn’t choose to board the boat and experience it for yourself. I understand that the boat might seem smaller when viewed from a distance than once you are onboard. Please let us know if you would like to return and give us a chance!

Overpriced over crowded and not classy

I have done another tour like this but on the boat Manhattan II and this was not up to par in my opinion. Way too many people, the other one gives you a complimentary drink and you had plenty of space. Not to mention other boat went up both the East and west side. The pier was beyond trashy and unorganized. I would tell all to do the one that leaves out of Chelsea pier any day over this tour. Too expensive for what space you are given.

Sorry you were disappointed. We are a sailboat and therefore cannot go up and down both rivers and do a circumnavigation of Manhattan. Regarding our departure location…. We agree!! The current pier is temporary. Unfortunately, in May, only 2 days before the start of our season, we were informed that NYC Parks had randomly decided to close down our departure location for construction. We scrambled and this was the only docking location we could find for 2021 season. We expect to be making an announcement soon regarding a fantastic new location for 2022, so please come back!!

Missed our boat

The ONLY reason I am giving only three stars is because we missed our cruise. New York driving is ridiculous and even though we left our hotel at 550 and gps said 30 minutes between no staff being able to tell us where pier 35 was and the parking cluster we ended up being 15 minutes late and missing our tour. So sad, but I'm sure it was beautiful!! And I will say Viator did fully refund our tickets so I appreciate that. I suggest planning on arriving an hour EARLY and then perhaps you will get there on time

Please make it easier for customers to find the location by providing a large sign that identifies Pier 35, and have a sign that states clearly viator Tours. There was no sign identifying if we were in the right location and we almost missed the boat. We kept getting erroneous info about the Pier. I think it would be more professional and a courtesy to ALL your customers to ensure they are informed about the exact location of the Pier and where they will be boarding. That would make the experience so much better. Please consider this seriously.

The boat never Showed up. Nobody sent me a cancellation notice. My night was completely ruined. Still can’t believe you’d treat paying customers like this. I want my $ money back and uber costs.

Magical Sunset Cruise

Unfortunately, the cloud cover prevented an actual sunset for us but it didn't matter because this cruise is simply a must do. The City Skyline pulling out was breathtaking! The water view of the Statue of Liberty was truly beautiful. The cruise itself was fun as it's a tall ship sailing with a bar and great tunes! The staff was great and the group was fun! We had an extra bonus with a fireworks display over The Brooklyn Bridge which was a nice bonus for my daughters Sweet 16! This is definitely worth the price and a totally fun way to see NYC from the water! The boat rocks a bit so I probably wouldn't recommend to anybody unsteady on their feet but for everybody else this is a must do!

Of all the touristy excursions, I have done with visiting guests over the years, this one was the BEST. Convenient to the subway, its easy to get to and easy to get away from. Just the right time of the day to have a sunset cocktail before taking the visitors to dinner.
