What To Expect

Meet your private guide (if private tour selected) or your guide and group (if group tour selected) at the easy-to-find meeting point close to the Moulin Rouge about 15 minutes before the start of the tour. Then, follow your guide on a walking tour of the picturesque Montmartre neighborhood.

During the tour, pass by the Café des 2 Moulins, featured in the movie “Amelie”, stroll along the historic Rue Abbesses, and walk in the footsteps of famous artists like Van Gogh, Pissarro, and Toulouse-Lautrec. Learn about the district’s rich history and art heritage from your guide as you wander through the cobbled lanes, and see unique sites such as Paris’ last-standing windmill and the capital’s only vineyard.

Your tour ends at Montmartre’s most famous landmark, the Sacre-Coeur Basilica, where you’ll enjoy a magnificent view across Paris.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Delightful tour through time in Montmarte

Audrey was fantastic. She seamlessly managed the walking tour through the tight and busy streets of MontMarte with an in-depth and insightful discussion of the history of the district. We started our time in Paris with this tour and it set up the success of the remainder of our trip with Audrey’s recommendations.

Guide had us standing in the middle of a bike lane in the rain while telling us stories about scammers. It was so rainy! I wish she could have found us somewhere under cover to stand. We left part way through because we were drenched. I think we could have been better taken care of.

Montmartre is a must!

Denise, our tour leader was terrific. She is warm, Knowledgeable and encouraged us to engage with each other which made the tour friendly whether you joined alone or as a family. The walking tour is vigorous but not difficult. The route we took didn’t require walking up the infamous 200 steps. I use a cane and had no problem keeping up with the group, and our group included a few seniors. Denise had an interesting back story at each point in the tour. She was great at inviting questions and insightful answer.

Heavy on the art, very light on food. By the way, there are no food stops on this tour. Just looking at food and a little talking. My fault for not reading description more carefully.
