What To Expect

See the "City of Light" come to life on this Paris tour at night, which takes you past the city’s most iconic landmarks, made even more beautiful with their twinkling lights. See plazas and wide boulevards such as Place Vendôme, Place de la Concorde, and the Champs-Elysées. Drive along the Rue de Rivoli to the Louvre, and catch sight of Notre-Dame, the Grand Palais, Petit Palais, and Hôtel de Ville.

See the Opera house, Arc de Triomphe, Les Invalides, Madeleine Church, and Place Pigalle. Cross the Pont Neuf into the St.-Germain-des- Près neighborhood on the other side of the Seine. Of course, a Paris illuminations tour wouldn't be complete without a nighttime view of the Eiffel Tower from Trocadéro, a photo op you don’t want to miss.

Pickup and drop-off locations and commentary depend on the tour you select when booking. The standard tour by 50-passenger coach starts and ends at a central location in Paris and includes recorded commentary via audio headsets. The small-group minivan tour is limited to just eight passengers and includes live narration by an onboard guide, as well as hotel pickup and drop-off.

Not for inclement weather

First, what I'll say is that the tour bus was in poor condition for a old rainy night. The roof leaked and got us wet and the upper windshield wipers did not work. We didn't see a thing. There was another couple upstairs who went downstairs. We could hear them talking and he even came upstairs and wiped off the windows and took pictures with their phones for them. But we were never invited to come downstairs or anything to make the tour more enjoyable. The guide just told us which # to listen to. There was no anecdotal information given. And 930p was too late for it to begin too

Paris is a beautiful city, but even more so at night! This trip was a great way to see many top sights. The bus even dropped all of the guests off close to our lodgings - while this was nice, I think it actually may have cut out excursion short! The audio guide was helpful, but it would help if there was some way to alert us when to move on to the next track.

A Night Light Tour during the day

The bus tour itself was great except that a night tour started at 7 pm when it does not get dark until around 830! I was not thinking when I purchased the ticket since I was not in Paris. It was still a great experience. Don’t do this tour if it starts before sundown. The lift on the Eiffel Tower was not operating properly so we could not do the tour.

Adrien took us and a small family around Paris that evening and gave us a lot of interesting info on Paris and the sites. Just make sure you google the address for meeting the tour. It was a little hard to find but we made it in time.

Some of the tourists of the group agreed that the tour should start at 9pm when it gets dark early, because you always have to wait for some of the group that arrive late causing delays at the start. In order not to affect the trajectory of the tour, we ended up late and those of us who stayed outside the city had to hurry because the subway stops at 1pm. For the rest I give it 5, the guide was friendly and gave us extensive information of Paris, interacted with the group answering questions, the itinerary of the tour was magnificent and we all loved it. The staff of the agency, very friendly and everything was well organized.

In summer the sunset happens post 9.30 and it gets dark only around 10 pm. We wanted to get a feel of all the attractions illuminated in dark and then chose to be at 1 or 2 the next night. This tour served that purpose.

I would not recommend that anyone spend the money on this tour. Although we were able to get a great picture of the Eiffel Tower at night it was certainly not worth the time or money. I was very disappointed in the audio prepared for the tour. Most of it was music filling up dead space and there were times it didn't sync with the sights we were seeing. They could very easily have fillled in that time with historical facts or anecdotes.

We loved this tour because it gave us a terrific chance so see areas that we did not have time to explore on foot but could get a feel for via the bus tour. The recording was great and we just loved it. They gave us a choice at drop-off time to be dropped at a more centrally located area which was quite helpful. While we were waiting for the bus-- we got there a bit early- we had a wonderful dinner at a cafe across the street. I would highly recommend this tour. It was informative beautiful and delightful! We really enjoyed this tour. After a long day of walking through the city, a bus tour was great for tired feet and seeing the city at night this way was super convenient while still able to get nice views. The audio guide was a plus as well. I usually get bus sick but our drive was actually very smooth through the city. This was also a good tour for older family members as they could see Paris without worrying about missing out or mobility issues.No complaints.
