Awesome Coba Tour
Angela_M, Jan 2022
We loved this tour of Coba and the Cenotes. Our guide was knowledgeable and energetic which was perfect for my active family of teens and young adults with parents. We arrived first thing when everything was quiet and private. We had first choice of the bikes and rode the bikes throughout the grounds in peace. Very easy Covid distancing. Lots of pictures with just our family and no extra people in the background. The cenotes were awesome with high jumps and snorkeling included. This tour was a highlight of our trip to Cancun.

Juan & Juan were so much fun ! They had a lot of information to share. They brought everything we needed & then some. They held our phones & took pictures for us while we were enjoying our tour. They took us to a restaurant where we asked for their recommendation & were able to eat authentic mayan food. We talked about the past, present, & future. They made us feel welcome. Spend the extra $ & book this tour. Riding bikes in the jungle & visiting historical landmarks are worth more than just going out to dinner & drinking. It’s early in the morning but it’s worth it !

We had so much fun, Hector was our guide and he was very kind, very knowledgeable and personable. Love the ruins, the Cenotes are amazing and the food, it was one of the meals I'm going to continue to think about for years, I wish I could get that meal again!
amazing and fun

the guide was amazing juan , he made sure that everything ran super smooth. the pick up was super earlt which allowed us to be the 1st at the ruins. then we got great history and guidance. there was no one at the ruin which made it great for the pics. he also takes pics of you with his phone, and then emails them to you and there great. after you go to the cenote, its steep stairs, but nice non the less espically that we were by ourselves and no one was there, again we got there 1st. then the amazing lunch and back in time to enjoy some of the afternoon. honestly don't hesitate it was great.
Amazing private and personal tour of Coba and Cenotes

Our guide was Manuel and our driver was Carlos. They were amazing, knowledgeable and friendly. They picked our family group up right on time and had a booster seat for the youngest. Plenty of water, soda, and beer in the cooler for us to enjoy during the ride to Coba. While on our way to the site we learned about the history of the Mayan people and the city we were about to visit. Our bike rentals were included in the tour price and after seeing the length of the path from the rain god pyramid to the bee god temple (pyramid you climb) we were happy for the ride! We went directly to the temple after learning more about the Mayan people at the entrance to the site (rain god temple). This was perfect because we had the pyramid/temple practically to ourselves. As soon as we climbed down several large groups arrived that we has noticed stopping along the path at the second ball court and security temple. We were able to stop and learn more about these on the bike ride back to the van. Swimming in the cenotes after the climb and bike ride in a humid jungle was perfect! Again, we timed it just right and had the cenotes practically to our selves. It really was an amazing experience. The tour even provided snorkel gear if you wanted to dive deeper into the cenotes to explore. They always made sure we were safe and comfortable. After the cenotes we had lunch at a local restaurant and tried some Mayan foods as well as some more familiar. We even got to try chocolate the way the Mayans prepared it hundreds of years ago. This trip is a must if you want to learn the history of the first people who lived on the Yucatan and if you want to feel like a VIP!

We had an amazing experience to the Coba ruins, swimming in an underground Cenote and lunch with this tour company!! Nicolas was our guide and he, along with our driver, made the trip very comfortable and fun! We were picked up and started our journey to Coba at 7 am after a bit of whining by our teenaged sons, but even they admit now that it was worth it more on that later. Nicolas answered our thousands of questions with a smile on his face during the ride to Coba. As promised, this tour provides the entrance fee to Coba as well as the few to rent bicycles or a tricycle ride to the ruins. Our family of five chose both 2 on bikes, 3 on the driven tricycles. Nicolas brought pops and waters for us while we were there, as well as took photos of our family to document the excursion for us! We just got the email today with all of our photos! Also, we are so glad that we paid just a bit more for a private tour so we could bypass driving from resort to resort to pick others up. We arrived at Coba early and it was still cool and not at all crowded. We climbed the ruins with only a few other families around. But, on our way back to the van we noted that thousands of people were arriving in flocks coming off of busses. The bikes were all rented out and I felt bad for those who would have no choice but to walk the 3-4km. Not us though! We were leaving as all the others were arriving! It is then that my 15 year old looked at me and exclaimed that he undestood the 6:15 am wake-up call. We made our way back into the air-conditioned van. Nicolas gave us a few options of different cenotes we could choose from. We chose the underground cave cenote and it didnt disappoint! This tour company chooses to support the lesser-known cenotes owned by local Mayans. We were the only ones in the cenote during our visit and it was awesome!!! We swam through underground tunnels in the cenotes and our kids loved it! We ended our day by stopping at a local outdoor restaurant. The food was delicious and it was a great experience to get away from the resort food. All-in-all it was our favorite memory on our trip to Mexico. We chose Coba because it was the only one out of all of the ruins that we could still climb. We were afraid that our sons 11, 14, and 15 wouldnt relate with the archeology if they could only look at it. Climbing on the ruins and feeling them with our own hands really made the difference in our kids connecting to the history of the site. So, please dont hesitate to take your kids to the Coba ruins and please book with this smaller, family-owned company. You will not be disappointed!!!
