Overview

Combine a trip to the Tulum Archaeological Site with a visit to the Gran Cenote with this private tour. Your driver will pick you up in Cancun, Tulum, or elsewhere on the Riviera Maya and take you to the archaeological site, where you'll have a couple of hours to explore. Afterward, you'll continue to Gran Cenote for swimming and snorkeling before returning to your hotel.

Wonderful experience

Wonderful experience. Oscar was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable, friendly, polite, kind, and most importantly very patient and caring with our kids. He was on time at our hotel and did not rush as at all during the tour. We would highly recommend this private tour. Ask for Oscar!

Perfect Tour of Tulum and the Gran Cenotes.

My friend and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Our guide, Taco, was fantastic. He picked us up on time from our condo and was an attentive, knowledgeable, and all-around fantastic guide. My friend wasn't feeling well the day of our tour and Taco was so caring the entire day. In Tulum, the heat was oppressive. Taco didn't rush us through the site, and he was able to find every shady area to stop while explaining each area. He escorted my friend to the restroom when she really needed to go and gave me clear directions on where to meet them so I could continue to see the rest of the site while she rested. At the Gran Cenote, Taco provided great information about the cenotes and allowed us to enjoy the area at our leisure. He is also an awesome photographer. He took some great shots of me while I relaxed in the water. After leaving the cenotes, we stopped for a bite to eat and made our way back to our condo in Playa Del Carmen. Overall, the tour was exactly what we were hoping for and Taco really made the day special.

He made this trip so enjoyable that we don’t feel it could have been the same with any other guide. Every part of this excursion was just as it was advertised and we loved it. Captain Snake picked us up from the ferry terminal at Puerto Juarez (we were coming from Isla Mujeres) and drove us to Tulum. He taught us a lot about Mayan history during the car ride over. Tulum itself was fascinating and breathtaking! A relaxing swim in a nearby cenote topped off the whole experience. Thank you to Captain Snake for teaching us some Mayan words and for being so friendly! I would highly recommend this trip. (Try to pack a lunch if you can, but there were opportunities to buy food near Tulum as well.)

Nabor or Juan were great guides. It was stated that lunch was included, that was not accurate. No where in the description did it mention a boat was required to snorkel with the turtles. If we had known that piece we would not have booked with the turtles. Tulum was wonderful and the Cenote was beautiful.

Our guide was really nice and professional! He answered our questions during the Mayan ruins visit and helped us taking our pictures! After that we headed to the cenote nearby. The Ojos cenote is beautiful! Worth the price paying for the private tour!

Wonderful trip for family

Efren was just wonderful. My family enjoyed a great day out and he was very accommodating with our family of 4, which included a 4 year old and 7 year old. Very knowledgeable, professional, and really made the trip so much fun. The kids loved swimming in the cenote.

Nice private excursion

Had a great time with Palo as our guide. He was knowledgeable and helpful. We got to the Tulum ruins a little after opening and beat most of the crowd that was coming in as we were leaving (I do wish I had asked if we could explore on our own after his tour). We got to spend as much time as we wanted at the beautiful Gran Cenote. The final leg was at a "Mayan Village", it was about 30 minutes drive outside of Akumal on a dirt road. We walked to an open cenote that we could swim in for an extra cost, then to a crocodile pond where we saw a large croc up close from the dock, and the last part was a very pretty private cenote that people can scuba dive in. Overall great experience!

Salvador was amazing! Some of the attractions we were supposed to see were closed due to COVID-19, but he definitely made up for it by taking us to other places and sites instead! We got to go see the Gran Cenote, which was beautiful with crystal clear water, and swam with cute little wild turtles in it! Next we got to go to the beach in Tulum, down this huge rock wall corridor, which ended at the beach where this little beach bar was that had the best fresh grilled grouper tacos we’ve ever had in our life! We also got to stop by the coolest local bar and get coco loco cocktails, which were served in actual freshly cut coconuts! The entire excursion felt so laid-back and relaxed, and we were able to take our time at each site because it was a private tour. We really appreciated this part of the excursion as we normally feel so rushed when with groups for these types of things! If you’re looking for a great time with a great and knowledgeable host, this is definitely the excursion for you! Thanks again Salvador for such an awesome time!

Awesome time with Anna and Mario

My girlfriends and I were on a bachelorette trip to Tulum and went on a ruins/cenote day trip with Anna. She was an amazing guide, so sweet and knowledgeable. We were able to have things move at a pace that worked for us. The cenote was beautiful and relaxing. Our driver, Mario, then suggested a great local place in Tulum city for some lunch tacos! Would highly recommend this day trip if you have some free time in Tulum, we definitely enjoyed!

We had such a great time on our tour! It was all very seamless and easy, Tulum and the Gran Cenote were beautiful. It was so amazing to have Anna as our guide and Mario as our driver for the day. Anna was very knowledgeable and friendly, having someone explain all of the buildings and Mayan history was great. She made sure we were we'll taken care of every step of the way (even helped ourus deal with hangovers and multiple bathroom breaks!). The water in the cenote is so clear and refreshing after the long tour at Tulum. I highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling in the Riviera Maya. Thanks again! Mark and Family
