For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Smooth transport! Bus was on time, and clean and the driver was excellent!

Needed a transport to Reykjavik from the airport and used FlyBus. Landed at 10pm and got to watch the sun setting as we left the airport.

Airport transfer was a mixed bag

The staff at the FlyBus desk at the airport seemed disinterested and unfriendly. The driver at the airport was also unfriendly. However the driver from the bus terminal to my hotel was excellent..,

Don’t trust Viator

Missed the bus to the airport since the hotel pickup time that Viator provided was different from the actual pickup time. Later when I contacted the bus driver, he said Viator always gives the wrong pickup time to customers. Don’t trust Viator and make sure to check with the bus operator for correct hotel pickup time. Viator never gives you a refund even though you miss the bus due to their wrong information.

Easy and recommended

Super easy to book and for the pickup - they pickup from your bus stop 30mins before. The actual airport bus is the time of the booking, from the RExcusions bus station. Smooth pickup, arrived about 5mins after pickup time, transported us to the bus station in like 5mins, then we just waited until the time to board the airport bus. Smooth journey to the airport, 45mins. The airport bus can get quite busy so always recommend booking at least the night before your departure. There's wifi on the bus (though ours only worked for part of the journey), and drop off at airport seamless.

Challenging return to airport

The transfer from the airport was smooth and seamless. Although the driver dropped us at bus stop 1 and wasn't sure of the direction to our hotel. It was 1 - 2 am so a little concerning but not an issue. The pickup though was a different story. I would recommend next time booking direct and not via Viator because Viator had our pickup time from hotel at 630 am. We waited for the bus (freezing) till 650 when I called the company. They said that is the time the bus left BSI and that we should have been out there at 6 am. Luckily, they could fit us in the 7 am and 730 transfer and we had booked extra time. It ended up not being an issue beyond freezing but easily could have been a nightmare. Viators communication all said hotel pickup at 630. I have contacted Viator support to tell them to update for future passengers so hopefully will not be an issue for others. Flybus is the best way to travel so definitely recommend them and they had great customer service. But, would book directly next time.

Inexpensive transport to city

Easy, & inexpensive easy to get to the bus terminal. Slightly confusing once there and waiting for our designated “blue line” bus into downtown. Once on, cozy & warm, all good. Easy drop off.

Easy transfer

This was the most economical way to transfer from the airport to central hotels. If you have a lot of luggage, be advised that you'll be switching buses at the central station to hotel shuttles. I travel with my power wheelchair and was able to load it on both buses without problems.

Good but could be better with some small changes

A good way to get into the city, value for money in an expensive city. Desk was easy to find in the airport, given tickets at airport but no explanation given as what the tickets were for. Got to the bus station and it was organised chaos - a short explanation of look for the driver who matches the colour on your ticker so simple and so needed would have made life a little easier.

Bad experience

Unclear drop off and arrival communication. It was my first time in Iceland and they just dropped me off at a bus stop at night and pointed to the direction to walk to my hotel.

Airport transfers

We arranged to be collected at the various bus stops around Reykjavik. We were asked to be at the collection point 30 mins before the collection time. It was snowing and windy on the day and so I was glad we only waited 15 mins in the freezing cold. Most transfers stop at the BSI bus station so if you're able to you can just book a ticket to the airport at the station. It's about £10 cheaper to do this. I would also pre-book transfers on arrival as the shuttle buses at the airport can be quite expensive, we paid £37 pp for a one way trip.

We should have been picked up from our hotel at 7.30 am, however by 8 am no one had come so the guy on our reception at hotel island spa and wellness phoned the company for us and they got us on the next one. They were there by 8.05 so no stress. Just glad i got him to ring up though. Xx still would use again as they make the transfers very eaay xx

Confusion

Trip from KEF to the Bus Terminal was fine at the Terminal there was confusion as to which bus to go on then the driver from Bus Terminal to the local stops was not familiar with our hotel, and could not help with walking directions at 1100pm

Stressful airport drop off

Driver never showed up and Viator hasn't given me a refund yet. I was able to secure another ride to the airport and left with ample time. Otherwise, I might have missed my flight.
