What To Expect

Your tour begins with hotel pickup in Reykjavik, where you board a coach equipped with Wi-Fi and personalized computer tablets. Using GPS sensitive technology, the tablet provides audio commentary according to your location, while your onboard guide offers additional information on Iceland.

First, stop at Thingvellir National Park—a UNESCO-listed site home to the tectonic plates of both Eurasia and Europe. Capture photographs of the magnificent landscapes, feast your eyes on Iceland’s biggest lake, and then proceed to the geyser hot springs to observe a spectacular natural performance.

The Geysir Geyser shoots out steaming water propelled by the earth’s molten core, and provides a spectacle that demands attention. Here, you have the option to purchase food and drinks from numerous shops. Spend a while watching the eruptions before heading to the Gullfoss Waterfall, to listen to the thunderous roar of the water and see the glacial lake.

Your day concludes with drop-off at your Reykjavik hotel.

  • Dress according to weather: In Iceland it is always wise to dress in warm, waterproof clothes. Weather changes can be sudden so expect the unexpected. Bring a waterproof jacket and pants, headwear and gloves. Good outdoor shoes are recommended

  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Golden Circle Tour and Black Lagoon

The tour was very enjoyable and Karen, our guide was terrific. She provided a lot of interesting details for each stop and was funny too. She had a fun way to keep everyone on time and back to the bus; if you were the last one back to the bus, you had to do a "walk of shame". Nothing bad or humiliating, just fun and it worked. The one blip was our tour to the Blue Lagoon after the Golden Circle tour. The bus left at 5pm (we were still on the way back to the bus terminal), instead of 6pm as promised but no one bothered to tell us until we asked why our bus never arrived. We had to rebook for the next day (fortunately, didn't have other plans), and I had to follow up with the tour to ensure we had our entrance voucher. Otherwise, we might not have been able to get in. the Blue Lagoon was great. Water warm, swim up bar perfect and the three masks with the premium package were cool. I found that in Iceland you have to keep on top of your tours, as sometimes the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. But the people are nice and they will fix issues that arise.

it was a great experience, although i would have loved the option of going into the blue lagoon and having to experience getting the admission there and enjoyed a last minute relaxing geothermal bath experience

Fun amazing day on the golden circle tour

Had the best day ever! It was very educational and nice to know things about iceland. Our tour guide Emily (if im correct ) was very friendly, professional and funny. She gave us good information about different parts of iceland we went past on the coach and the places we had visited today. Felt like we were at home and well looked after I would 100% recommend you book this tour you will not regret it! Was beautiful to see everything on the golden circle tour and amazed in this spectacular place iceland offers Will definitely be booking with these guys again when i return to iceland in the near future 4 days here is not enough time to see this beautiful country

Both me and my 10 yr old found the tour fascinating. Our guide was very informative, also humerous. I brought my son to Iceland for educational purposes and sure enough the guide was amazingly informed with the added bonus of humour to keep my 10 yr old engaged.

Poor admin and rude guide

Booked this as a shore excursion off a cruise ship. It was very difficult to spot the coach off the ship. Clearer information is needed in advance as is proper signage on the coach/at the port. When I eventually did locate it, the guide did not have my name on her list despite the fact that I was holding the ticket on my Viator app. There was a lot of back & forth and she only allowed us to join as there were 2 no-show spaces. The stops were good (though 15 min more at each would have been nice). A/C was blasted on the coach. We were freezing. Guide (don't recall her name- blonde woman late middle-aged on 25.08.2023) was quite arrogant in terms of what she chose to lecture about and was blatantly rude at time to passengers. She also solicited for tips for her and the driver. The tour was slightly disjointed with some pax doing different add-ons from others and people seemed to feel unsure whether they'd be dumped off without a ride back at remote spots. The worst part came when everyone with the Blue Lagoon add-on was sent on a separate coach at the end without a guide and my daughter and I were denied entrance (despite the fact that I held our tickets through Viator). I was told that they were never forwarded my details and I was not in their system, despite the ticket on my phone. I am not clear if it was Viator or the tour operator's fault. I ended up paying out of pocket to enter despite already paying Viator. I did receive a partial refund later on to compensate for my additional out-of-pocket; however all the faffing at the entrance to the Blue Lagoon meant we were only able to spend 30 minutes there, which was a huge disappointment.

Great sites, not so great tour guide

The stops that we made were incredible and I would highly recommend that portion of the trip to anyone. However the tour guide was not the best. She seemed very frazzled from the beginning and it just went down hill from there.

Oh my gosh this tour was incredible. Our tour guide Karen and our bus driver Jon were the best. Such an incredible day. Every stop was so great! The Blue Lagoon was the highlight! So awesome!

The tour guide was very sweet and accommodating. However, the actual tour was not labeled correctly. We purchased the Golden Circle tour AND a stop at the Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon was forgotten about essentially. We had to ask the entire day what the next step was. We did to get to the Blue Lagoon until 7pm (they close at 830pm). When we got to the front desk they did not even have our reservation. They had to call the company directly which took another 45 minutes. So you're on the bus for almost 6 hours total and at each stop about an hour to 70 minutes. I would have booked this alone and the Blue Lagoon alone had I known this was simple an add on for the company to make more money. Just disappointed we had 30 minutes at the lagoon. Transportation home from the lagoon was a mess as they also never set that up. Over all, there are so many companies in Iceland that do this sort of trip - choose another one that actual cares and follows through on what you actually paid for.

Looking at the activity you booked is called "with Optional Blue Lagoon admission". Customers have the option then to book just the Golden Circle or the with Blue Lagoon included (the product will then be with Blue Lagoon admission included). It seems like your reservation did not include the Blue Lagoon, hence why the entrance was never booked as well as the transfer. We are sorry to hear about this and we hope you have enjoyed your day eventually.

The tour was fantastic! Seeing 3 key locations and many drive by locations with a very knowledgeable tour guide who was friendly and caring for all guests The 3 locations were incredible all with very very good facilities, very clean and tidy. The bus was clean and tidy and the driver drove perfectly. We got a free drop off back in town at the end of the day. Only slightly annoyance was picking up people from secret lagoon on the way back at the end of the day just wanted to get back to go out for dinner etc Would highly recommend this trip! Iceland is so beautiful!
Disappinting service

I have booked the tour with a hotel pick-up but the operator encouraged me to come to the meeting point directly. When I have asked if I could get refund for the pick-up in the case, the answer I got was 'our refund team will deal with the request' As it was on the day of the tour, there was no choice for me othar than going to the meeting point by myself after the conversation, before getting response from the team. They ended up reached out to me saying that they cannot issue refund as the pick-up was a part of the tour. I wouldn't have chosen the tour with pick-up (they had a tour without pick-up)if I go to the meeting point by myself. I just want my money back as there is no point of paying money for the service you cannot get. Very Disappointed.

Jorn the tour guide was really interesting and funny - enjoyed all of his commentary, and Isak the driver provided a safe trip. We loved the whole tour, it was both informative and fun. Plenty of time at each stopping point to enjoy the views and have a drink. Well organised, and picked up from the bus stop no problem. Would highly recommend as the scenery is stunning
