    Beautiful Borghese
    Marilyn_O, Apr 2024
The museum is fantastic and the local person with tickets was very helpful but Viator should warn people that the Borghese is under construction and the second floor is closed. You must pay another 5 euro and walk 20 minutes to the Palazzo Barberini to see the Titians, Raphael's, etc. Viator should reduce the cost by 5 euros while it is under construction.
    Must see in Rome

Wonderful gallery with beautiful masterpieces, it was a once in a lifetime experience. Definitely worth the cost.
    Worthless
    John_D, Apr 2024
Worthless. Guide was not there on time and once she got there, handed us tickets and then just left. No actual guiding occurred... Not even the self guided pre recorded headset. Complete waste of money.

Museum would only let you see one floor, 2nd floor was closed,,and we thought we were getting a guide in actuality it was just someone giving you the tickets.
    Unbelievable
    Pam_K, Apr 2024
The beauty of the gallery and to experience the enormous collection of sculptures under one roof is worth the cost and visit.
Viator ticket prices much too high
    Jrg_S, Apr 2024
Villa Borghese is a nice place to visit, but the tickets offered by Viator are much too expensive, therefore not recommended. Viator sold us tickets for 34 € each, whereas the museum charges only 13 € per person and free or reduced entrance fee for students (i.e. our sons). Half of the museum (2nd floor) is currently closed which was not mentioned by Viator.

Unfortunately I did not attend my tour due to metro issues but still wanted to leave a review. The tour operator called me when I was 5 minutes late to allow me to still show up and work with me on my arrival time. I thought that was kind of them and although I still couldn’t make it will definitely book with them again when I return to Rome.

Amazing experience. The gallery and the gardens were amazing! Great for all. Only thing we weren’t aware of in advance was the bag policy. But they had an easy and safe system.

Great museum, well worth the admission price. Since we were slightly nervous travelers we chose to have a host to get our tickets and help us with the entrance. Probably not necessary for the savvy traveler. This is truly a “don’t miss” museum. Small but great art by Caravaggio and Bernini.
    Half the beauty
    Antoinette_A, Mar 2024
Although what is there is beautiful, it should be noted that only half of the collection was there due to renovations. Ironically the price of the ticket was not half. To see the rest of it was a 20 minute walk and more money (5 euros)
A great day at the gallery and the park
    Edna_D, Mar 2024
We saw more wonderful, statues, etc. and we had planned. It was a wonderful experience. I don’t have time to think about all the other things that I want to say. I am sorry if that you expect me to say more, I have other things to do and see here in Rome. Ciao.
A museum visit you’ll never forget.
    Richard_O, Mar 2024
This was an exceptional tour. It was self-guided, using the museum’s audio device for a nominal fee. (Best audio device we’ve ever used). Viator has this skip-the-line tour very well organized-from purchase to distribution of tickets at the door. A value for the money. One suggestion-be sure to arrive slightly before the museum-assigned time slot. You have two hours to see the galleries on both floors. If you’re ten minutes late, the museum gives you only one hour and 50 minutes. Don’t underestimate the time needed to get you to the gallery from the entry gate to the gardens. Taxis are available outside the gardens’ entry gate that will get you to the museum on time. This is one of the world’s great museums. Don’t miss it.
Out of all the places we visited in Rome, the Borghese was my favorite
    Michie_P, Mar 2024
I love this place! Beautiful gallery and the Berninis were the highlight of my trip to Rome. I've never been moved by a piece of art until I saw Bernini's Apollo and Daphne. His other masterpieces The Rape of Proserpina and David are also housed in this gallery, along with numerous other sculptures and paintings. You will have a 2 hr time limit once you enter, but we were able to spend time in the gallery without feeling rushed. There's also a gift shop and cafe in the building. Be ready to check your bags in at the front desk if you are carrying one. Bag check in and checkout was very efficient, and they will let you keep your wallet and other valuables with you if you can keep it in your pockets. The gallery is located within a beautiful park and gardens. I loved seeing all the families playing in the park and people walking their dogs. I can't wait to come back! Highly recommend!
    Sheer theft
    Elmer_P, Mar 2024
Another Aviator steal your money scheme. Do not book this tour. There is no guide. Reserve a ticket through the Roman agency and save 50%. Make sure you buy your tickets in advance; do not go to ti the gallery w/o a ticket as they are sold 2 weeks in advance

We were going to be a bit late to pick up our tickets and we contacted Viator to let them know. The representative got back with us immediately and assured us it was not a problem, notifying us where to meet them when we arrived. Thank you!

Absolutely AMAZING! A MUST for all to see! Bernini was brilliant. The David statue blew me away! Skip the line and buy in advance.
    Masterpieces in a great building
    Lynn_M, Mar 2024
Fabulous building, sculpture and paintings although some special Caravaggios out on loan. Can’t complain as I have seen great Italian paintings in exhibitions outside Italy. Hard to find the route upstairs to the paintings. Very manageable collection to enjoy in one visit.
Not the experience we had hoped for.
    Chris_A, Feb 2024
Not the experience we had hoped, staff at the Borghese were unwelcoming and left us to our own to figure out the hand held audio device. We would not go back based on how we were treated. The gallery is wonderful but not worth being mistreated. Gardens outside were not well maintained and the exterior of the building was shrouded in scaffolding. Also Viator tour folks were not present when we arrived, the woman than provided our tickets was not well identified or speak very much English.
    Response from Host, Feb 2024
I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the Museum staff. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with our company nor is it under our control. Compared to what you say about our coordinator, he is well identified! He has a blue jacket with our logo (once upon a time tours) on both the front and the back and has a flag with the same colors and the same logo. If you have any suggestions on how to get us noticed more they will be well appreciated.
Last Minute tickets to Sold Out Borghese Gallery
    Cynthia_D, Nov 2023
This product is for tickets only. Ideally for those looking for a self guided tour of the incredible Borghese gallery and find the ticket office is sold out. I bought 3 tickets last minute via Viator. The representative from OnceUponATime tours met me at exactly the correct place and time with the actual tickets. He gave clear instructions about the entrance and bag check desk. Perfect transaction! 5 STARS

It was a free day at the museum and the visitor guide was no where to be found so I want my money back
