Don’t waste your time

This is the first bad review I’ve ever written but I just don’t have anything good to say. I don’t blame the boat’s captain, who was friendly, but the boat slowly goes from nowhere to nowhere. Pretty much the only thing to see was the tall walls that prevent floods but also prevent seeing anything interesting. Don’t waste your time.

Rubbish boat trip

The best part of this river cruise was getting off the boat. We sat on plastic garden chairs on the top deck as we cruised along looking at graffiti, piles of rubbish, homeless people and riverside weeds. It’s a real shame that Rome has not done more to improve this area with cafes and decent boats. It could make a fortune with the amount of people that were on foot. So save your cash!

Meh. Short. Uneventful. Boat ride.

Meh. If you have nothing better to do this might be something to spend $21 on. Short trip. Not much to see besides the castle. Not the prettiest river. It was just a short uneventful boat ride. Skip the line on this one. Literally. Don’t get in the line.

Tiber River Cruise

Really enjoyed our little cruise. It was a lovely way to start our holiday in Rome. The only thing I would say is that it would be good to have the piers signposted at the top of the steps down to the river. It’s a bit confusing if you don’t know Rome well.

We just did what we wanted at our own pace. We were out of the big tourist area. It was beautiful traveling along the Tiber and seeing the old Bridget's. Had a wonderful day.

This was a nice relaxing experience. There was an audio tour if you wanted to listen. We enjoyed the trip. I think $20 euro per person was a little high though.

Seeing Rome from a different perspective was nice, and being able to get off and see some local sights. But lack of narrative/commentary, and no toilet on boat as advertised

We found the dock even though a few more detailed description would have been helpful. The boat ride was a ver nice change of pace. Lights started to come on and we could get off to walk to Spanish Steps.

An interesting way to get where we needed to go. Lackluster ride compared to river boat rides in other large cities. Missed opportunity to give information about the river and the city.

I would have given it a 5 star but the boat operators should really hand out the ear phones while entering the boat so you can hear the tour. We did not realize till we were docking.

Waste of Money

A complete waste of money. All you see is a dirty river and the hobos living under all the bridges. There is really nothing to see. And the hop-on hop-off deal makes no sense, since you gain nothing by going 4 stops. You can have a family meal at a restaurant for the same price, which is much better value.

The cruise was shorter than I expected - in hindsight probably not worth the 24 hour hop on/off ticket. But definitely worth the one time ticket for some fabulous views and a relaxing experience

What's more memorable than floating on the Tiber? Nice crew, clean space, close to historical sites (bring a map). Email ahead of time and they will send you the 4 stops and you can choose best for you. They will also tell you what bus to take and which stop is closest to you given your location.
