    Your tour meets at our office, located at Via dei Delfini 35/36, 00186 Rome. We are located about 150 meters from Piazza Venezia (a 5 minute walk) and 1.5 km from the Colosseum (approximately a 15 minute walk). Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour departure.

What To Expect

Your tour starts in central Rome where you meet your guide and get comfortable on your 2-wheeled, self-balancing Segway during a brief practice session. When you’re ready, take off with your guide through Rome’s historical center. Allowing you to cover more ground than a walking tour while still being outside in the fresh air, a Segway tour is the ideal way to experience a city filled with so many must-see attractions.

Head toward Capitoline Hill to visit the archaeological ruins of the Roman Forum, home to landmarks like the Arch of Constantine and Trajan’s Column. Listen to a bit of history about ancient Rome from your live as you glide around the edge of the forum, and then pass by Palentine Hill on your way to Circus Maximus, where chariot races were once held.

Continue to the Colosseum for a photo op of this legendary amphitheater where gruesome gladiator battles once took place, which you hear about via your live guide. Then weave your way over to the Church of Santa Maria to check out Bocca della Verità, the Mouth of Truth, a carved piece of marble made famous in the Audrey Hepburn movie 'Roman Holiday.' Legend says, if you put your mouth into the sculpture and tell a lie, your hand will be bitten off.

End your tour by making your way back to the starting point, stopping for a photo-op at a scenic vantage point along the way.

Brilliant 3 hour Segway !

We met at the shop/office and checked in quickly. There were 3 couples plus a tour guide trainee who joined us for the experience. We all linked our earphone’s with the tour guide so we could hear him clearly whilst in motion. After a safety introduction and a couple of videos on the iPad we all practiced in a quiet square next to the meeting point. Once the guide was confident we were all competent we were off! With the guide stopping at any points of interest including his vast knowledge of the area. We visited Trajan Forum, Imperial Forum, Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Circus Maximus to name just a few. Half way through the trip it started to rain but fair play to company each segway came with a poncho, an added bonus! We returned to the shop/ office a tad wet but it did not dampen our spirits. I can confidently say that everyone returned on a high as it was a Fantastic 3 hour experience. Thank you Marcello 👏👏👏👏👏

What a wonderful way to see parts of Rome I don't think I would have found myself. The introduction and instruction on how to operate the Segway had me up an running in no time. The guide was excellent, knowledgeable, friendly and eager to ensure all our queries were answered. Even in a monsoon like downpour it was still worth ever cent.

I have done many Segway tours in th US and the Rome tour was amazing Marco used a Virtual Reality headset to help imagine the beauty of ancient Rome. His commentary was fun and educational. We loved it!

Guide from fat tire was amazing and I couldn’t recommend him more! He was so accommodating, friendly and patient to guide my wife on the Segway. Throughout the tour, he professionally took care of her ensuring her safety as well as all of us in the group. The VR used enhanced our experience to see the city for what it was in those days. Without it, it was hard to imagine the splendour of the Roman forums and colosseums from the ruins they now are.

This is the second time i have done a Segway tour in Rome. The guide was a nice person, but he talked far too much and did not really set any scenes on the tour early on and events he was going to cover. there was little time for photos in locations and a lot of detail, but this could have been given better in my opinion. He was a lovely person, but i was a little disappointed and felt the tour was a little disjointed. Thanks to the team though for good comms, as the tour was re-arranged from an afternoon session, so communication on this was good and a few options of other tours were made viable options which was great from the team to facilitate this. Thank you.

I Love Segway Tours. This one was no exception. It's a novel way to cover distance and get a wonderful guided tour at the same time. For beginners to advanced Segway riders. A Segway Tour is the way to go and an absolute MUST!!!!!

Seeing the city at a great way to travel . Zipping up the hills . It’s was so hot and it didn’t phase us . Our guide was amazing funny and informative. Do this it is worth the 35.00 Canadian dollars .

Matt our host was amazing! He was very safety conscious and ensured everyone was comfortable on the segways. Matt’s energy, humour and knowledge was brilliant! His love of Rome and it’s rich history came through during his interesting stories about the locations we visited. We were able to learn about the ancient ruins and we covered much ground in two hours. As we were only in arôme for a day, this tour complimented the popular sights we could do on foot. We all had a radio with head piece so we could easily hear everything Matt described. Matt was super friendly and approachable and offered to answer and questions even after the tour. He gave us an amazing restaurant recommendation- home made pasta ! The best!! Highly recommend this company!

Right from the beginning I felt welcomed. The refresher course was great. There was a first timer and she did great. We covered a lot of ground Marcelo knew the history and explained it to us. I recommend this tour for anyone who wants to experience the city Centre
