Rainy day experience

Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind, he was not the problem. The start time (suggested by the tour company) was about 4 hours too late, the auction was long over and all the stores were closed, even the retailers only had a handful of booths still open. It was an expensive disappointment. We would gladly have got up for a 4:30 or 5am start, which we were expecting, but the tour start was set at 8:00. We were surprised but went alo g with it as the market had moved to a new location, so maybe the auction was scheduled for later.

Excellent tour. Goreilo was knowledgeable, kind, with a good sense of humor. He took us to the markets, auction, and Tokyo tower. All must sees in our book. Goreilo also explained how the tickets for the trains work which was a huge relief. We are a couple from a fishing town on the central oregon coast. We would recommend this tour. We would do another tour with Goreoli anytime!

All about the fish

Masa met us at our hotel and helped us navigate the trains to both fish markets. He explained the fish auction system then took us to the public market for a sampling of the delicacies there. He was great-would highly recommend!

We did the tour of the fish markets and our guide was so wonderful. He had a great personality, super knowledgeable and accommodated our change of plans to spend time exploring and trying all of the local delicacies. It was a great experience and highly recommend.

Our whole experience with Koba was fantastic from start to finish. He reached out to me shortly after we signed up with the tour to discuss the days plan, met us at our hotel, and guided us to some really unique and special locations in Tokyo. He was thorough, well informed, patient, and has everything you need (from wet wipes, to chopsticks to maps). He taught us local customs and about the history of the places we visited. We really enjoyed meeting him and spending our afternoon together.

HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE

We were very excited for this tour. Our tour guide never showed up and for a full 1 hour, I tried to call him with no success and messaged the tour provider for a full hour with NO RESPONSE. 3 hours later, someone contacted me with an unbelievable story about why the tour guide couldn’t make it. We were left standing around for 1 full hour outside our hotel with NO HELP at all. NEVER WILL I RECOMMEND this trip to anyone !!!
