What To Expect
Your Nile River cruise begins with front-door pickup from any location in Aswan and a tour of the city. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll either check into your ship accommodations or head out directly on your Aswan tour. After visiting sights like Philae Temple and the High Dam, wind down over an onboard dinner and folk show.
Depart bright and early to visit the Abu Simbel Temple Complex by air-conditioned vehicle, followed by a visit to the Kom Ombo temple. Learn about local Nubian communities and get a chance to take photographs.
Spend the third day touring the Temple of Horus in Edfu; sail to Luxor and continue your visit to Luxor Temple. Enjoy another lively evening onboard the ship with a belly dance show.
Your final day starts with a sunrise hot-air balloon ride over Egypt’s ancient capital. Then, continue your Luxor tour with a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon and Egyptologist-guided visits to the Temple of Hatsheput and the Valley of Kings. Tours conclude with drop-off at your Luxor hotel or the train station.

Had an amazing tour with Mohamed Gobran. Everything was catered for with lots of information and great accommodation on the Nile Jewel! Mohamed was great supplying all the information needed with history of every place we visited. He was happy to chat and easy to talk to. The staff on the boat were also very attentive! The food was great with a variety of meals and the sleeping berths were very comfortable.

Talaat Abdo was our guide during 4 days.

Mahmoud was an outstanding tour guide! He exceeded our expectations.
Not only did we get tremendous value booking this cruise, it was very organized. Mahmoud was very patient with everyone and made sure we all understood the itinerary.
Mahmoud's passion for Egyptian history is evident. Although it is a combination of fast-paced tours, there is enough time to get a thorough understanding of the places visited along with some personal time to explore the sites on your own.
I highly recommend you book this cruise excursion if you plan on visiting Egypt!!

Efficient and complete way to make the Aswan/Luxor route in a friendly atmosphere. However, it is busy trip so be ready for it.

The trip was wonderful! We had an outstanding time aboard the ship and our tour guide Talaat was incredible! The best part was how easy everthing was made. The guide bought our tickets in advance and made it all easy. He was incredibly knowledgable and funny. The food onboard was good and plenty. Only downside was that everything including water was charged, but c’est la vie.

The Cruise was an amazing experience ! Our guide Mahmoud was verry nice and gave us many explanations about Egypt history. We enjoyed the pool, the activities. However, the hot baloon activiy was canceled because of the wind (we are very disapointed because we looked forward to do this acticity). Finally, the food could be better.

Thanks to this trip in the cruise we were able to see so many landmarks of Egypt in only 4 days! Throughout our journey we were constantly accompanied by our great guide Talaat Abdo, who lead us to all the sites giving us an accurate explanation of the history of each place. He stayed with us at all times always making sure that our trip was running smoothly and that we were able to do all the activities in the due time. Another highlight of this cruise is definetely the food. Excellent! Overall a great experience.

This cruise is an excellent experience in a mesmerizing location but with room for improvement. It starts in Aswan usually on Monday’s but without a formal start time due to guests arriving at different times so don’t book an early flight to Aswan like I did but instead opt perhaps for the early morning or noon. The staff pick you up at the airport after confirming your arrival via email and were on time and in a vehicle with air conditioning. Upon arrival at the cruise the tour guide Mohamed explains the process of checking in as well as the other costs of the cruise which aren’t included in the booking fee such as the tickets for the attractions (85 US dollars for adults 45 dollars for students) and this is a very convenient offer as it is priced at the regular rate but allows you to skip the lines at most of the ticket offices. The other costs include tips for the crew for 4 days amounting to 19 dollars as well as a tip for the tour guide (Mohamed) which is at your discretion. In the grand scheme of things with the number of crew over 4 days it is a very reasonable tip considering the tipping culture in Egypt. Another added cost is 25 dollars for an optional Nubian village experience in which you take a ferry boat to swim in the Nile (freezing cold by the way but very enjoyable) and visit a Nubian village to learn about their culture.
Mohamed is very good at communication the schedule with everybody and organizing transport to arrive on time and to the sights with adequate information given at the sights. A small drawback is that some sights feel a little rushed due to the time constraints of having to visit a few sites in the day and also be on the cruise for travel and meals.
The boat we were on is called the MS Nile Jewel and while not the fanciest boat it is quite well equipped with a nice sun deck and pool. The staff are all very courteous all the time and the meals are well prepared especially the baklava on the 2nd evening. As I was fasting during my cruise the crew went out of their way to make sure I had food with which to break my fast and sunset and start my fast at sunrise and this was very accommodating.
Everything on the cruise went off without a hitch, all the buses arrived on time and had air conditioning, every item on the schedule was ticked off and there was minimal waiting times between activities.
This is a great cruise in a truly, truly mesmerizing location.
