An Afternoon in Amsterdam

What a great experience! Luckily we had Anna as our guide for the 4 hour walking tour. She is amazing. She has options regarding what exactly we wanted for the experience and was very flexible if we found something we wanted to spend a little more time on. We wanted to see more of the hidden gems” and she delivered. She was gracious, knowledgeable and passionate about her adopted city. We learned a lot about the history, economy and culture and she also kept us safe from the cyclists when I mistakenly wandered onto the bike lane :) We had the best time, a perfect afternoon. I would highly recommend Anna and this tour. She tailors it to your wants and your pace. We will book another tour with her when we make it back to Amsterdam.

Anna was amazing! She gave me exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to see the things I couldn’t find in Google or tour guides. The unique details of architecture and neighborhoods, the merchant/commerce history of Amsterdam, The Begijnof. And The Van Stapele!! Which we waited in line for only 4 min! I highly recommend the private tour, and Anna’s love and enthusiasm for this beautiful and wonderful city.

It was a nice introductory walk through Amsterdam on a VERY rainy cold late November day. I would recommend it to anyone new in town for the first time to get your bearings of the city. And the restaurant recommendation we were given was perfect as well.

Jan was an energetic and extremely knowledgeable guide sharing with us the culture and history of Amsterdam. We even came across a couple of unexpected unusual shops, ie the duck store, which added to the adventure. Jan was also sensitive to the fact I was walking with a cane so he kept the pace on the slower side. Had a great time!!
