The guide Cecelia was a hoot and really explained things comprehensively. Bus was very comfortable and the automated information was informative. Could have had more time at the windmills as we missed a lot of the wee shops as had to get to the bus. Was a lovely calm day for us but not for the windmills so no wind … no windmill demo but that was fine at least we still got jnsde to see how the mechanisms worked as Bob had a mini model to demonstrate. Would recommend this definitely

Great day
Judith_M, Apr 2024
The family enjoyed the windmill village & boat ride to Volendam. It did feel slightly rushed in each location but it was ok. Both the tour guide and bus driver were phenomenal and accommodating. They helped us when a family member became ill on the bus. We will never forget the kindness. Thank you Diana & Astef
Nice

Amazing local activities and tour guide. A bit of delay in the beginning but we arrived on time. Nice food and activities
Amazing rural Netherlands!
TAKMIL_U, Apr 2024
Village tour was good as ample time was given for looking around and having lunch. However, because bus seat were not assigned, there were issues in getting the same seats upon return from each spot where passengers got out of the bus. Least time given for windmill tour - approximately 1 hour. Therefore it was difficult to cover windmill demonstration, take pictures and walk back to the bus on time given .
Countryside and Windmills

Excellent guides, Diana and Steph, AMAZING! Helped a lady who could not walk, handled a medical emergency on the bus with professionalism and humanity. They both embodied being GOOD HUMANS. The only problem I saw was that we were too many people on ONE tour, too many people to follow Diana and hear what she was explaining. Other than that, great day!
Great tour

Seeing the cheese and clog making demos and getting to see so many windmills and going in the lumber mill was all fascinating
Safe but crowded

The fishing village where we had 1 1/4 hours Of course we had sunshine which also made it remarkable !
Great experience!

Excellent tour, well done. Visited inside the windmill. Great experience. Cheese demonstration and tasting was a great experience.
Could be done better
Eldad_M, Apr 2024
The towns were really nice to visit, but the guide was not doing much.. seems more interested to talk about himself than anything else.
Disappointing
Ivy_C, Apr 2024
The tour guide, Xiaoli, who was knowledgable, helpful, kind and very professional was by far the best part of the experience. It was nice to learn a bit about Dutch history, but I wish they told us much more. The windmill experience was underwhelming. Voldendam was quite nice but we didn't spend nearly enough time there. The reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 1 is because of Xiaoli.
Good places but too rushed!
smitha_V, Apr 2024
The trip itself was good and we saw some beautiful views. But, it was so hurried that we could not really enjoy it! Andrea our guide was literally running and lot of us had a very tough time to catch up. There was no fixed plan given to us and when I asked the lady where we were going next she showed me an attitude. However she did help me when needed. Driver was really good. On the whole a beautiful scenic trip I wouldn’t have minded paying a little more to relax and have some more time to take in the beauty of the place!!
Must go!

Fantastic! Who knew that just outside the wildly busy city of Amsterdam -that this adorable pocket of cuteness existed! From the windmills to the wooden shoes-it was fabulous. Adrienne our tour guide was awesome!
Lots to see, but rushed
Emma_I, Apr 2024
Excellent travel arrangements and beautiful to see, seeing the windmills was amazing, although everything was to rushed would have liked more time to wander and investigate, had no time to see anything apart from where the tour took us, even the little bit of free time we did have was not enough time to get some lunch, and as it was an early morning start we were hungry by lunchtime, we ended up leaving the tour as our food hadn’t arrived by the time the tour was leaving. Excellent bus service available so we paid for that instead and managed then to have time to wander around a beautiful place xx
Wet, cold & wonderful.
Clarrie_S, Apr 2024
Outstanding visit to the windmills the weather was unkind during our visit to Voendan but still a great experience.
Avoid if you want to do things at a leisurely pace
Seema_C, Apr 2024
Arrived at the station and was rushed to bus with no introduction from the Guide. Was advised that food consumption was not allowed on the bus - which was abit of a problem seeing that my father is Diabetic. Cheese and Clogg demonstration was pleasant. Overall the tour seemed rushed, unclear and nobody was really instructed about what the tour entailed. There was no guidance about when lunch should be taken and overall no real interaction from the Tour Guide. I was quite surprised when the Tour Guide finished the Tour and was expecting the audience to provide tips. (Which nobody did). Disappointing - there needs to be more emphasis on quality and input rather than the tour company concentrating on jam packing customers in for profit.
Windmill tour, Marken and Volendam
Jennifer_B, Apr 2024
Had a great sunny day to tour these 3 places. Wishes we had more time but our group was large. Nico, Clark and Frank were great tour guides and driver. Loved the history of all the places and how groups are making an effort to preserve the history. Boat ride was fun too. Food at De Lunch was delicious, order the seafood mix or Vismix. At the cheese factory, the 3 yr old Gouda is great. The stroopwaffels never disappoint and are tasty or lekker!
A great excursion

A great day out to see and experience Amsterdam and surrounding areas. It was a great way to experience the different things Holland has to offer, cheese making, clog making and the windmills
Amsterdam in 5 hours

Very good tour

Good tour lots of info that was really interesting. Be aware lots to cram in so not much time at each visit. Didn’t really get time to eat dinner and couldn’t eat snacks on coach was only downfall.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience!

Wow! What a brilliant tour!! It was a jam packed day exploring and enjoying the culture and countryside of Amsterdam. Our guides August and Josie, along with our driver, were very friendly and knowledgeable. The boat trip is a lovely addition to the tour and we really enjoyed the demonstrations at both the cheese factory and the windmills. My family and I had a really wonderful day and cannot recommend this tour enough!
